In an interview with CNN yesterday, former San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Kwame Harris came out as a homosexual. Harris had been arrested in January for beating an ex-boyfriend and said he underwent significant stress and pressure, keeping his sexuality a secret during his playing days. “You want to escape the despair and turmoil and your mind goes to dark places,” Harris said of keeping his sexuality secret. “I’m happy today, and I’m glad they were just ideas and I didn’t act on any of them. “The cost was great not speak candidly open about myself in complete manner,” Harris said. “If I could have done it differently, I would have hoped I found the strength [to come out].” Harris played for the 49ers from 2003-2007. Ironically, Chris Culliver – a cornerback on that same team this year – got into major trouble two months ago when he denied there were any gay players in his locker room and made disparaging remarks about homosexuals in general. He later apologized and met with a support group for gay, lesbians and bisexuals.
Helena Christensen is standing up for Kim Kardashian… by slamming down those who have taken the pregnant reality star to task for her weight. “It is disgusting and despicable the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian ,” Christensen writes in a Huffington Post letter. ” It’s enough that they persistently project a negative focus on women’s physical shapes; but a public bullying and attacking of a pregnant woman because of her growing shape is just lower than low.” Christensen, a former Victoria’s Secret Angel, knows all about having her body picked apart. Referring to the tabloids as “venomous,” she urges critics to consult their “moral compass,” especially when it comes to one who is expecting. “No one should ever be publicly judged for their body, but to attack an expecting mother is sacrilegious and just plain wrong. The central conflict of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host stems not from vampires and werewolves, but something more intangible yet equally eerie. Depicted in the Andrew Niccol -directed film as a glowing organism of sorts, these parasitic alien “Souls,” as they are called, gain access to humans through an incision made at the back of the victim’s neck, where they override their host’s human circuitry. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen. In The Host , Melanie, played by Saoirse Ronan , does not relinquish control to her invader and eventually learns to coexist with her. Given this premise, Movieline thought that Cinema Society’s screening of the movie, and the party that followed at Jimmy at The James Hotel in Tribeca, were good places to ask a single question of the VIPs and swells who attended: If your body was inhabited by a parasitic host, which celebrity would you want it to be and why? Thoughts on Congress possibly cutting the WIC program?? Via CBS News: “I was scared out of my mind, I was scared out of my mind about his not getting enough,” said Kayden’s mother, Cierra Kelley. “He was two days old when I took him to the hospital. He was only two days old, I didn’t know what was going on. So he went to see a lactation specialist at Piedmont health.” The lactation specialist is just one of the services available through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program also known as WIC. Kelley is one of nine million WIC participants in the United States. “My mother didn’t breastfeed so she didn’t know much about breastfeeding,” Kelley said. “Any questions that I had she was always able to answer them. I was scared for the first week about breastfeeding, you never know if you are doing it right unless someone tells you.” In addition to breast feeding counseling, WIC also offers food vouchers which average between $60-70 per person, per month “I am young, so with WIC you get food support, milk cheese, things like that,” Kelley said. “You need to keep your body healthy. You have to keep nutrients in your body so you can pass it on.” But impending budget cuts could cut WIC benefits for hundreds of thousands. “There are different things that could happen but in short $600,000 could be cut there are different options trying to run the program as long as possible and then making cuts as we get closer to the fiscal year,” said Heather Miranda, a WIC supervisor. Kelley, 21, is in her third year of online classes to become a social worker, but she does not work outside the home. With almost 60 percent of infants born in the US enrolling in WIC, some argue that the program needs to be scaled back.” “I think it is hard because I don’t think a lot of folks don’t understand at the grassroots level what will happen to these families,” Miranda said. “As being someone who works with these families regularly — I had a woman who had to stop breastfeeding because she did not have enough food to feed herself. It’s devastating to hear that and to know there will be cuts that will make it even worse … it makes me incredibly sad that we would balance the budget on the backs of infants women and children.” If Congress does not act, half of the proposed federal spending cuts will come from defense and half will come from discretionary spending which will impact social safety net programs like WIC. “Nobody wants to see their child suffer or go through anything,” said Kelley. “If they cut the budget short and took away the opportunity to call down there and see what is going on with him, if something is going on with my breast milk, and something is going wrong and I am not able to get the support that I need, that means my son would suffer and that would break my heart.” Discuss….

According to National Enquirer reports : AFTER nearly five years behind bars, O.J. SIMPSON’s bizarre behavior has some of his close friends worried that the former football great has gone gay! “I don’t know what’s happened to O.J.,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “He used to be Mr. Macho – a diehard ladies’ man. He preferred the really fine sexy blondes, but being surrounded by only men has changed him. “Now O.J. has way too much interest in guys, and he likes to show off his body to the hardened felons when they exercise in the prison yard. He’s doesn’t even talk about women, just about guys. “It doesn’t sound to me like he’s straight anymore!” Once a notorious skirt-chaser, Simpson was convicted in 2008 for robbing memorabilia dealers at gunpoint the year before. Not long after the conviction, the 65-year-old gridiron great was sent to Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada to serve a 9- to 33-year prison sentence. He isn’t eligible for parole until 2017. After the recent Super Bowl, the insider says O.J. called him – but he seemed more interested in the way the players looked than what happened in the game! “He couldn’t stop talking about Baltimore Ravens receiver Anquan Boldin,” noted the source. He said, ‘Anquan is my man! What a great looking guy!’ “Clearly, he wasn’t admiring Boldin just for his football skills. He kept going on about him and some of the other players in a tone that sounded sexual to me. “That alone wouldn’t make me worry, but O.J. also spends a large part of his time in prison lifting weights. He works out with several inmates who are really built.” Perhaps the biggest tip-off that O.J. may now be playing for the other side is his choice of prison companions, according to the source. He says the former ladies’ man hangs out with a group of openly gay men known as “The Girls.” “WHENEVER HE’S LET out into the prison yard, he stays with them,” revealed the insider. “He says, ‘The Girls treat me like I was a king!’ “He claims they flirt with him and even give him massages. Some even call him ‘DJ’ – short for ‘Daddy Juice.’ ” O.J. has used “The Girls” as his personal posse for years now, added the insider. “He says he has even gifted a few of the ‘girls’ with candy bars, sodas and toiletries from the prison canteen,” continued the insider. “I’ve asked O.J. why he doesn’t talk about women anymore, but he just laughs it off. He says, ‘Man, what do you think I am? You’ve known me for many years. C’mon, get off all this. There ain’t no women in here! Of course I talk about guys. We’re all guys in here.’ “But I can’t help being concerned about O.J. He certainly isn’t the same man he was before being locked up.” The insider is not alone in his concerns. A source who’s been close to Simpson for 15 years confided to The ENQUIRER: “It wouldn’t surprise me if he has gone gay. “O.J. is doing the best he can living in the prison world surrounded by men. I don’t know if he has become gay. He always loved women and was a lusty lover, but anything can happen to a man behind bars. He has to be the center of attention wherever he is, and in prison he still plays that game. He is the star and has all the other prisoners looking up to him.” The source added that the only time O.J. previously seemed sexually interested in a man was years ago in a nightclub in Miami’s South Beach, where he swooned for 6-foot-2 professional drag queen Elaine Lancaster. Grief is a hell of a drug.. Man Steals His Father’ Dead Body And Tries To Resurrect Him A Michigan man may faces charges and jail time after his grieving over his late father led him to do the unthinkable and steal the 93-year-old corpse from the cemetery in an attempt to resurrect the body. via My Fox Detroit Tuesday morning, Officer George Day and his colleagues from the Detroit Police Department discovered the corpse of 93-year-old Clarence Bright at his son’s home on Eastlawn stuffed in a deep freezer in the basement. “The family members informed us that the body was in the house,” said Day. They had been searching since Monday for Bright’s corpse and his casket. His funeral was Saturday, but his body was stored in the mausoleum at Gethsemane Cemetery until weather conditions allowed for his burial on Monday. That’s when cemetery workers found the casket and the corpse missing. A van was seen driving away with Bright inside. Police were looking for Bright’s 48-year-old son, who told people he was going to do something. He had a deep freezer and, police say, planned to store his father there and pray over him to resurrect him. Losing a loved one can have you doing some crazy isht.
