Zoe Kravitz Covers February Issue Of ELLE Magazine ELLE Magazine’s February issue features the four stars of new HBO miniseries “Big Little Lies” — Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley. The show is based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel “Big Little Lies,” and is described by ELLE as “a seven-part thriller that looks like a movie, feels like a movie—and packs enough woman power to populate the Oscars’ front row—but grips like only episodic TV can.” Peep part of ELLE’s interview with Zoe below: On her “political” mother, Lisa Bonet: She kind of stumbled into that world. It wasn’t a conscious choice (a) to be an actress, (b) to be a famous actress, and (c) to be—she shook things up—a model for so many young women. The beautiful thing about her is that she just thought a certain way and lived her life that way. On Trump: There has to be something positive that can come out of [the election]. Already it’s helped me want to connect with everybody. When I go to the deli or I’m talking to a waiter or my Uber driver and they say, ‘How are you?’ I’ve answered in an honest way for the first time. Like, ‘Oof.’ Even that felt good. Let’s let everything come to the surface, even with people we come in contact with for a moment. This situation can help us be a little bit more awake with each other. Do you see what Zoe’s getting at? Interestingly enough, Zoe’s costar Shailene Woodley says she saw Trump’s win coming from a mile away. On the political climate in Hollywood: It’s hard to talk about politics in a Hollywood world. I learned that really quickly. But after the California primaries, when Bernie Sanders lost—and I’m not saying he should have won—I knew that Trump was going to win. Because I’d been on the ground for months, and we would be in small cities in America and big cities in America, and Bernie would get tens of thousands of people at his rallies. And then Trump would come and he’d get the same numbers. But Hillary would only have a few hundred people at her fundraisers. It doesn’t matter how much more you have in your bank; if 50,000 people show up to your opponents’ rallies and you only have a few hundred people, it says a lot about what the people of America are ready to do. Russians Leak Damaging Info On Donald Trump A document has been circulating throughout Washington, claiming that y’all’s new president not only has deep personal ties with Russia, but he’s something like a sexual deviant in his off time. Buzzfeed got their hands on the papers in question — which recently landed on Obama’s desk as he was packing up his things — and the claims inside indicate that the Russians have been exploiting their relationship with Trump for years to collect a mountain of dirt on him…just in case he won high office. According to the docs, he spent some of his time at a ritzy Russian hotel and had some ladies of the night come shower him with…affection . Presented with all original errors:: However, there were other aspects to TRUMP’s engagement with the Russian authorities. One which had borne fruit for them was to exploit personal obsesslons and sexual perversion in order to obtain suitable ‘kompromat’ [compromising material] on him. Graphic aftermath of a botched robbery in Homestead, Fl. was just released showing 2 of 3 people injured after having a shootout. Brothers, Giobel Fonseca Canete and Edgar Fonseca Morales, both attempted an armored truck robbery that left one of the brothers dead and the other telling. The guard in the video was shot in the hip area and is expected to make a recovery. Police say Giobel Canete and Edgar Morales waited in their SUV until an armored truck guard walked out a bank with a package of money, approached the man, then got dumped on and started dumping back. Brother Edgar Morales was shot in the head and the leg, he was pronounced dead on the scene…as you see in the video above. The other brother, Giobel Canete, took a bullet in the leg and was caught, ultimately telling the police everything…even implicating help on the inside.
Walmart Pulls Black Lives Matter Shirts Off The Shelves Despite their history of deplorable business practices, we were a bit surprised when we found out that Walmart was selling #BlackLivesMatter hoodies . However, what we WEREN’T surprised at is the tears that fell from the faces of cops who were outraged that Walmart was supporting a “hate” group. Also in the “not surprised” category, is the fact that Walmart, likely in an effort to appease their…”conservative” constituency. USAToday reports: “Like other online retailers, we have a marketplace with millions of items offered by third parties that includes Blue Lives Matter, Black Lives Matter and All Lives Matter merchandise,” said a Walmart representative. “After hearing concerns from customers, we removed the specific item with the ‘bulletproof’ reference.” FOP National President Chuck Canterbury, in a letter sent Tuesday to Walmart President and CEO C. Douglas McMillon, called the shirts offensive and said he was concerned Walmart’s decision to sell them would “damage your company’s good name amongst FOP members and active and retired law enforcement officers.” Canterbury also chided third-party sellers for what he called an attempt to profit off racial division. “Commercializing our differences will not help our local police and communities to build greater trust and respect for one another,” the letter said. “Turning a buck on strained relationships will not contribute to the healing process.” Peep the whole letter below.
