Money Mitt Tells The Uninsured To Get Their Azzes To The ER

“Well, we do provide care for people who don’t have insurance”… “If someone has a heart attack, they don’t sit in their apartment and die. We pick them up in an ambulance, and take them to the hospital, and give them care. And different states have different ways of providing for that care.” We’re sure a lot of you can relate to us when we say this has got to be the most ignorant comment Robney could make on his solution to cutting off “Obamacare”. In an interview on “60 Minutes” this past Sunday, Money Mitt couldn’t give a good answer when asked if it was Uncle Sam’s job to make sure we all have health care. According to The Huffington Post , this bullisht stance contradicts everything Mitt’s shady azz had to say about healthcare reform a few years ago: This constitutes a dramatic reversal in position for Romney, who passed a universal health care law in Massachusetts, in part, to eliminate the costs incurred when the uninsured show up in emergency rooms for care. Indeed, in both his book and in high-profile interviews during the campaign, Romney has touted his achievement in stamping out these inefficiencies while arguing that the same thing should be done at the national level. When asked in a March 2010 interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” whether he believes in universal coverage, Romney said, “Oh, sure.” “Look, it doesn’t make a lot of sense for us to have millions and millions of people who have no health insurance and yet who can go to the emergency room and get entirely free care for which they have no responsibility, particularly if they are people who have sufficient means to pay their own way,” he said. And in a 2007 interview with Glenn Beck, Romney called the fact that people without insurance were able to get “free care” in emergency rooms “a form of socialism.” “When they show up at the hospital, they get care. They get free care paid for by you and me. If that’s not a form of socialism, I don’t know what is,” he said at the time. “So my plan did something quite different. It said, you know what? If people can afford to buy insurance … or if they can pay their own way, then they either buy that insurance or pay their own way, but they no longer look to government to hand out free care. And that, in my opinion, is ultimate conservativism.”Getting rid of high numbers of inefficient emergency room visits was actually a key goal of Romney’s health care reform in Massachusetts,Six years after he signed health reform into law, visits to emergency rooms in Massachusetts are decreasing and the state has the highest rate of residents with health insurance. Elsewhere In The World: Thousands Gather To Violently Protest The U.S. Embassy In Response To “Innocence Of Muslims”, Obama Effigy Burned!

This thing is gettin’ super ugly… Muslim People In Islamabad Gather To Protest “Innocence Of Muslims” According to the BBC/UK Demonstrators who gathered outside the US embassy in Islamabad to protest against an amateur video mocking Islam have begun to disperse peacefully. The Pakistani authorities had earlier called on the army as police struggled to contain the crowd of thousands with tear gas and live rounds. Some protesters had said they would not leave the diplomatic enclave until the US embassy was on fire. Protests over the film, Innocence of Muslims, have claimed several lives. It was made in the US and is said to insult the Prophet Muhammad. Streets leading to the enclave, where most of the embassies are housed, were earlier blocked off by shipping containers in an effort to increase security. Police had no control of the situation as angry protesters burned President Obama in effigy as people threw missles and other objects at authorites. One protester in particular was heard saying: “The infidel who produced the movie should be hanged, or hand over him to the Muslims. And we don’t want any (US) diplomat or embassy in Pakistan: all relations should be cut off.” Despite all the ire, the BBC correspondent says the protest appeared to end without incident. The BBC’s Aleem Maqbool in Islamabad, who did not see any evidence of the army at the scene, said the protest was “turned out like a light”. He said it was amazing, given the strength of feeling at the the protest earlier, that the crowd left as peacefully as it did. He says the area is still shrouded in tear gas. The Pakistani government has issued a national holiday for people to protest in peace, but how long will that “peace” really last when people are so angry??? Image via AP

Money Mitt Ain’t Isht: Now He Says He’s For 100% Of Americans?!?!

100% our azz… Mitt’s trying to clean up his controversial “47%” comments aired in an undercover vid we showed you earlier this week. Problem is, he just keeps digging himself into a deeper grave! The Repub candidate tried to redeem himself tonight, but it fell on deaf ears. During a live forum on Univisions “Meet the Candidate”, Mitt had this to say in disguise as an apology for insulting those who “feel entitled” to health care, food, and housing: “My campaign is about the 100 percent of America, and I’m concerned about them…I know I’m not going to get 100 percent of the vote, and my campaign will focus on those people we can think we can bring in to support me…”But this is a campaign about helping people that need help.” B*tch please. The “forum” was also Mitt’s chance to address the Latino community that he’s struggling to win over. Robney was asked serious questions on immigration, the main focus of the night, and gave his usual aloof answers when it came to self-deportation, the Dream Act, and undocumented immigrants (or illegal immigrants as he likes to call them). Mitt’s solution to that “little” problem; veto the Dream Act and encourage “self-deportation”, which basically causes “attrition through enforcement,”; making life so difficult that “they” would choose to leave. SMH Refusing to give a solid answer on the problem, Mitt dodged the questions left and right. “I’m not in favor of a mass-deportation effort, rounding up 12 million people and taking them out of the country…I believe people make their own choices as to whether they want to go home and that’s what I mean by ‘self-deportation.’” Oh ok…now we get it. According to The Huffington Post: Romney has been evasive on how he would deal with undocumented immigrants currently living in the country. Obama has said he would support giving some immigrants legal status if they meet certain requirements, including paying a fine. Romney has refused to say whether he would end Obama’s new deferred action policy that removes the deportation risk faced by some undocumented young people who would be helped by the Dream Act. Romney was repeatedly pressed to say whether he would end the policy, but only said he doesn’t need to answer because he would fix the issue through legislation. That was no comfort to many immigration advocates, who know the difficulties of passing immigration legislation in Congress. “Are you going to deport them or not? Yes or no?” Salinas asked Romney, as translated to English by Univision. “We’re not going to round up people around the country and deport them, that’s not — I said during my primary campaign, time and again, we’re not going to round up 12 million people … and have them deported. Our system isn’t to deport people.” Salinas pressed on. “That’s your answer, that you’re going to allow them to stay?” she asked. “I’m not going to be rounding people up and deporting them out of the country, we’re going to put in place a permanent solution,” Romney replied. Robney’s on a sinking ship and no amount of SOS’ are going to get us to throw this idiot a life jacket. Images via Facebook/WENN

In No Isht Sherlock News: Clint Eastwood Says Republicans Were “Dumb” To Have Him Speak At Their Convention

Okay now he’s talking good sense. Just weeks after becoming one of the biggest punchlines of the colossal failure that was the 2012 Republican National Convention, Clint Eastwood is speaking out about his role in the festivities. Via US Weekly : “If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re going to have to take what they get,” the 82-year-old star told Extra earlier this week about his now-infamous August 30 Republican National Convention appearance, during which he addressed an invisible Barack Obama “seated” next to him. Eastwood explained himself further to Ellen DeGeneres during a Tuesday sit-down with the comedienne. “The Democrats who were watching thought I was going senile. And the Republicans knew I was!” joked the legendary actor and director. Eastwood also seized the opportunity to clarify his political views — he’s not a Republican or a Democrat, but a Libertarian. Explaining that fiscal responsibility is what matters most to him, the San Francisco native said his views also extend to social issues, too; Eastwood revealed he takes issue with any government interference in citizens’ personal lives, including attempts to define marriage, same sex or otherwise, through legislation. Said the Gran Torino star, “[It’s] a part of the Libertarian idea: Leave everybody alone!” Later in the show, DeGeneres and Eastwood took a break from talking politics to discuss Mrs. Eastwood and Company, a reality show focused on Eastwood’s wife, Dina, and daughters Francesca, 19, and Morgan, 16. When asked how he feels about the series, Eastwood said he “doesn’t feel much.” “If they want to do a reality show, that’s fine,” the notoriously private star shared. “My only request was to please leave me out of it as much as possible!” Sorry, but as much as good ol’ Clint got clowned for talking to a chair he was still probably the best speaker at the whole RNC. Which ain’t sayin’ much. Do you agree with Eastwood’s Libertarian views? Getty Images

All Hail King Bey: President Obama Says “Beyoncé Couldn’t Be A Better Role Model For Sasha And Malia!”

Uh, how about their mom? Isn’t she a great role model too? President Barack Obama is giving Beyoncé a lot of responsibility — namely the duty of giving his kids someone great to look up to. President Obama Says He And Jay-Z Are Both Have Daughters And Are Less Famous Than Their Wives According to US Weekly reports : Beyonce and Jay-Z proudly hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign Tuesday night in NYC. The couple held the event at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, and tickets cost $40,000 per head. “I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama,” Beyonce, 30, said while introducing Obama, 51. “We believe in his vision.” After taking the stage, Obama joked that wife First Lady Michelle Obama and their girls Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, were “mad at me because they aren’t here.” “To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship,” Obama told his hosts. “Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls.” Obama also joked that he and 42-year-old rapper Jay-Z — who welcomed his first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012 — have a lot in common. “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are,” he said. “So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s okay.” We know Obama probably appreciated BeyBey and Camel helping him raise $4 milli towards his campaign last night but … sometimes we think he needs to get off that Hollyweird isht. Now What?? Chi-Town Teachers End Their Strike!

After seven days of picketing, Chicago teachers have voted to end their ongoing strike! This isn’t a sweet Wall Street deal by any means but pay cuts won’t be as detrimental and our kids can go back to their classrooms (even if they’re still overcrowded). SMH According to NPR… “Our brothers and sisters throughout the country have been told that corporate ‘school reform’ was unstoppable, that merit pay had to be accepted and that the public would never support us if we decided to fight. Cities everywhere have been forced to accept performance pay. “Not here in Chicago. Months ago, CTU members won a strike authorization, one that our enemies thought would be impossible. Now we have stopped the board are imposing merit pay! We preserved our lanes and steps when the politicians and press predicted they were history. We held the line on healthcare costs.” If you haven’t paid attention to the strike, you’ve missed seeing and hearing these brave teachers fight for our children out there. Overcrowded classrooms, deplorable conditions, and shady pay cuts (while millions of funding went to “richer” districts), all caused educators to hit their breaking point. We understand it put parents and caregivers in a bind for a week…but today those baby steps were worth it. Images via Facebook

The Side-Eye: Money Mitt Romney Calls Obama A LIAR… “The President Tends To Say Things That Aren’t True!”

This guy can’t be serious… Mitt Romney seemed to question the President’s credibility Friday in an interview with ABC News, talking big yang about how he’s concerned Obama might be speaking falsehoods in their upcoming debates: Mitt Romney says he expects President Obama to be less-than-truthful during the three presidential debates next month. “I think the challenge that I’ll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren’t true,” Romney said during an interview with ABC News published Friday. “I’ve looked at prior debates,” the GOP candidate added. “And in that kind of case, it’s difficult to say — well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren’t quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?” Accusations of dishonesty have been lobbed by both campaigns as the general election race heads into the final fall sprint. Romney’s campaign, for example, has accused Team Obama of making false claims about his business record and personal finances. Obama’s campaign has accused Romney’s camp of misleading voters about his changes to welfare-to-work rules and other matters. With new polls finding Obama leading Romney nationally and in some key swing states, the upcoming debates are looking like the Republican’s best chance to regain some momentum against the president. Romney is already practicing, with Ohio Sen. Rob Portman serving as a stand-in for Obama in mock debates. When asked if Portman — who is known as a master debater — beat him in their first mock match-ups, Romney laughed. “I’m not revealing those kinds of secrets, but I will never debate Rob Portman again,” he joked. Romney also said he plans to ease any debate jitters by looking to his wife. “Ann always gives me the advice as I get ready to go up on the stage and offers a few words of encouragement. And I look to her when I’m in the debate. I look and see her,” Romney said. “Typically, her eyes are down. [She’s] more nervous in the debates than I am. She says, ‘I wish I could debate instead.’ She said, ‘I wouldn’t be as nervous.’ But I look to her,” Romney said. “And when she’s smiling and confident, that gives me the boost I need.” The first debate is scheduled for Oct. 3 at the University of Denver. This thing they’ve been doing — trying to make the Romneys seem more like the average Americans next door — it’s not working! And anybody who HIDES as much money as Mitt should be ashamed suggesting other folks are less than honest. He’s the epitome of super SHADY! Source WENN

SMH… Conservative Pundit Says Obama Will Get His Votes From People On Welfare And Voter Fraud In “Urban” Areas

Sounds racist if you ask us. Is he sayin’ a black man can’t win an election without using “hood” tactics? This guy can’t be serious trying to make it seem like Obama is only getting love from folks on welfare ? We call bullisht. Conservative pundit Gary Bauer, the former president of the Family Research Council, which puts on the Values Voter Summit each year, told the crowd at the 2012 conference Friday that it needs to turn out in great numbers to defeat President Obama’s army of welfare recipients and fraudulent votes. After his speech, Bauer told TPM “voter fraud is rampant in urban areas” and he expected that to help Obama. Bauer also told TPM that “there are a lot of people who will vote this November because they depend on government largesse,” meaning checks from Washington. He expects those voters to go Obama as well. “They will vote for their own perceived interests, which is they don’t want anybody cutting back the size of the checks,” Bauer said. On stage at VVS, he made a similar case, but said hard-working Americans will turnout in stronger numbers. “There’s a lot of people out now around America who depend on checks from their fellow taxpayers being in the mailbox every day,” Bauer said. “They will turn out in massive numbers, but so will the entrepreneurs, the small businessmen and women, the military families, the soldiers in harms way, the millions of Americans that want to hope again.” That last set of voters, Bauer said, will turn things for Romney. As for voter fraud, Bauer claimed Republicans will have to contend with lots of fake votes from the big cities. But he said those Obama votes won’t be enough either. “My prediction is after all the votes are counted — even the dead votes of Democrats in Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland — I predict that we will win, that this nightmare will be over and America will finally be on the road to recovery,” Bauer said. Bauer was focused on the types of votes he said Democrats rely on, but his talk about people who rely on “government largesse” is not far from the mainstream Republican view of the election. Mitt Romney has said several times that Obama is creating a “culture of dependency” in which more and more people become reliant on government checks. Hopefully HARD Working people know better than to vote for Robney, cuz all he’s gonna do is cut taxes on the rich to the point that they’ll wish they were getting welfare checks! Source

The Side-eye: Money Mitt Defines Average American Income As $200K -$250K

Mitt Romney Defines Middle Class Income As $250K And Below Must be nice to live in “Mitt world” where working class people ball out at no less than $200k annually… Mitt Romney is promising to reduce taxes on middle-income Americans. But how does he define “middle-income”? The Republican presidential nominee defined it as income of $200,000 to $250,000 a year. Romney commented during an interview broadcast Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” The Census Bureau reported this week that the median household income — the midpoint for the nation — is just over $50,000. The definition of “middle income” or the “middle class” is politically charged. Both presidential candidates are fighting to win over working-class voters. President Barack Obama has defined “middle class” as income up to $250,000 a year. Obama wants to extend Bush-era tax cuts for those making less than $250,000. Romney wants to extend the tax cuts for everyone. Money Mitt just continues to make the middle class feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Source
