Source: Erika Goldring / Getty Lizzo Accused of Second Plagiarism Claim for “Truth Hurts” The more successful it gets, the more people are trying to prove that Lizzo is not the one who made “Truth Hurts.” Now, the songstress is being hit with another plagiarism claim over her smash hit single. Justin Raisen, a songwriter and producer who has worked with the likes of Sky Ferreira and Angel Olsen, posted a video to his Instagram page where he compares “Truth Hurts” to a single called he allegedly wrote with Lizzo back in 2017 called, “Healthy.” His complaint is centered around “Truth Hurts’” now-famous opening line—”I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100 percent that b**ch,” along with the fact the two tracks seem to share the same melody. The clip Justin posted shows Lizzo and Raisen in the studio creating “Healthy” as well as the singer at Raisen’s family events. “We were never contacted about being credited for the use of the parts of ‘Healthy’ (melody, lyrics, and chords) that appear in ‘Truth Hurts’,” the caption states before explaining that this very dispute has been ongoing since 2017. An educational institution recently rescinded their invitation to have him at their homecoming festivities. The Brooklyn MC was scheduled to perform at Georgetown University’s “Hoya Madness” last weekend. XXL is reporting that Fab’s invite was cancelled due to allegations of domestic violence. School officials released a formal statement explaining their position. “After engaging with students, we have cancelled the musical act for 2019 Hoya Madness. We take domestic violence very seriously and were unaware of the charges against the entertainer when he was booked through a third-party entity. We are committed to enhanced vetting of future performers and doing all that we can to support a safe and respectful community.” Earlier this year Fabolous plead guilty to one count of harassment for threatening and menacing his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante and her father. He originally faced up to 20 years for allegedly punching her so hard that she had to have her front teeth removed. Weeks later footage surfaced of him brandishing a sharp object at Emily and her family members outside of their New Jersey home. You can see the video of the altercation below. 34-year-old Aaron York Dean is behind bars this evening , hours after he resigned as a member of the Fort Worth Police Department. He’s been charged with murder in the shooting of 28-year-old Atatiana Jefferson in her home on Saturday. Dean, who had been a member of the Fort Worth Police Department since April 2018 is currently listed as an inmate in the Tarrant County Jail. Dean failed to cooperate with investigators in regards to the shooting as body cam footage showed him approaching Jefferson’s window and asking her to put her hands up before firing his weapon.
