Gasoline-Soaked Man Crashes SUV Into DC Building A mentally ill Maryland man soaked in gasoline crashed an SUV into the Washington Square building in downtown Washington DC early Friday evening just after rush hour. The SUV, which was also drenched in gasoline, was reportedly stolen and also contained a gasoline container in the back seat. Eye witnesses to the crash say the man was removed from the car, strapped to a stretcher for medical examination and then wheeled to a police cruiser nearby. Witnesses say the man was belligerent and shouting as he was transported to the police cruiser and had to be detained by police in addition to the restraints on the stretcher. A Maryland man was charged Saturday with arson and destruction of property a day after police said he crashed a Jeep into the lobby of a downtown Washington office building , touching off fears of a potential terrorist attack. The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force was called to the scene Friday evening, but D.C. police Chief Cathy L. Lanier said Saturday that indications were that the driver’s “motive was not a terrorist motive.” Charles Morrell Ball, 32, of Frederick County was charged with three felonies — arson, destruction of property and unauthorized use of a vehicle — police spokeswoman Tisha Gant said. “It’s Friday, you ain’t got no job, and you ain’t got isht to do!” *Chris Tucker voice* The author of the study said it can’t prove whether that’s due to the drug’s effects, the social environment in which it’s used or whether pot smokers are just more likely to be laid-back from the get-go. Though researcher Christer Hyggen suspects pot is the culprit, another possible explanation is that people who aren’t so happy with their work situation or motivated on the job are more likely turn to drugs. “There’s a popular belief that people who smoke cannabis are slackers and that they don’t want to work,” Hyggen, from the Oslo-based social research institute NOVA, told Reuters Health. To see how well that perception held up, he analyzed data from a 25-year-long study of close to 1,500 Norwegians. Starting in 1987, when they were in their late teens and early 20s, participants filled out surveys that included questions on their recent pot use on five different occasions, into their 40s. They also rated their attitudes on statements that reflected work commitment, such as “It is very important for me to have a job” and “I feel restless when I have no work to do,” ranked on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 reflecting the most commitment. People who reported smoking in the past year generally reported less dedication to work than abstainers, according to findings published in the journal Addiction. The results of the study are as follows: By the last survey, in 2010, the 63 repeat users had an average score of 3.9 on questions of work commitment. That compared to scores between 4.2 and 4.3 in participants who had only experimented with (cannibis) (ed.) or never tried it, including those who said their friends used the drug but they didn’t. The findings suggested that over time, “people who quit smoking cannabis increase their work commitment, and people who take up smoking cannabis reduce their work commitment,” Hyggen said. Bossip hasn’t always been the nicest to Khloe , so we were surprised when she agreed to an interview with us. But we were even more surprised by how little she held back! Khloe gave us the full scoop on Lamar’s visit to the strip club the media made so much about, the rumors about her not having the same dad as Rob, Kim and Kourtney and even opened up about her beef with Kimmy Cakes. Check out our exclusive interview below: Bossip: How are you adjusting to being in Texas? Khloe Kardashian-Odom:I am actually pretty good going anywhere, it’s just new being to a place I have never been before. I don’t know anyone and getting adjusted to a new bed and not even knowing where to get groceries at and where to get cash. That kind of stuff is definitely easy for me in L.A. L.A. is where all of my family is. Getting used to being alone in a city is different but it’s about Lamar. He is definitely now finally adjusting and I am just trying to make everything as comfortable for him as possible. Bossip: Have Lamar’s kids come to visit you guys in Dallas or did they come when you were still in LA? Khloe: They were with us in Dallas recently.The great thing about Dallas compared to LA, is LA is hard for us to see the kids during the school year; they live in New York and go to school in New York. So its not easy for us to get them on the weekends because of the time difference and the flight is so long and they are kids and we don’t ever want to inconvenience them, or interfere with their grades. The few great things about Dallas is the flight is about 2 ½ hours from NYC, and its only a one hour time difference. So, its easier, now we can have the kids more on weekends, which is great, instead of waiting until spring break, Christmas, or Summer. So, Lamar and I are both very happy about that. Bossip: It seems like Destiny is ready for her close up. She is always posing when the paparazzi is taking pictures. > Khloe: She is so cute and she is 13 years old. She is beautiful and like 5’10. If they wanted to do the show, that would be up to them, I would never ask Lamar to put them in the show, that’s not what Lamar and I are about. Right now, we feel we don’t want to expose them to that. We will wait until they are a little older. She’s 13, so maybe when she a little older and says something, we are not stopping them, but I think we want to keep that a little private. When we get that time with the kids it’s so precious because they don’t live with us full-time because of them being in NYC. We have our family activities, we don’t want to have to wait and get things cleared. We just want to be spontaneous and do what we do. Bossip: There is always so much talk about when you are going to have a baby, and reports that Khloe is going for fertility treatments. We even saw you guys installed a sex swing in the first episode. Khloe: Yea, Lamar and I have no problem; we just like a little spice in our life. I’m flattered that everyone is so excited about us a having a baby, I think that is really sweet, but I think Lamar and I got married so fast, just 30 days after knowing each other, I think people just assume, they got married so fast, they will have a baby fast. We have been very vocal about wanting to start a family and when the time is right it will happen. We are not doing anything to prevent it, but it’s in God’s hands. I also look back and think wow, with this trade and everything that has happened, it would have been very stressful. To add a newborn baby or say I was 8 months pregnant to add that stress on top of everything else. Everything happens for a reason. You don’t know until later. Maybe, I’ll get pregnant in Dallas.
