Big Love star Ginnifer Goodwin has some big news: She#39;s engaged to her boyfriend Joey Kern. “We couldn#39;t be happier than to celebrate our engagement over the holidays with our families,” the couple tells us. Kern popped the question earlier this month with a ring he designed by himself. The two plan to tie the knot next fall.

In the latest issue of Parade , the talk show host refers to the reality star as “charming and likable.” But can she foresee Palin as President of the United States? No. “It does not scare me because I believe in the intelligence of the American public,” Oprah said. Winfrey also admits she’s “succumbed” to the notion that she’s a “brand,” while explaining how Michael Jackson influenced her decision to branch off with her own network. “I thought, I don’t want to be Michael Jackson. This [ Vanity Fair ] article specifically said that after Thriller, which sold over 100 million albums and is still the highest-selling album of all time, when he then did Bad, which sold 20 million albums, he felt like a failure. Anybody today would bow down in prayer for 20 million. “I didn’t want to be that person who’s been given this great opportunity of a network and thinking, but how am I going to make it what the Oprah Show has been for 25 years? What I recognize is that it took me at least 10 solid years to build [that show].” OWN will launch on January 1.

There are many ways for aspiring singers to get noticed. For Michaela Wallace, it was pretending to be Justin Bieber’s girlfriend . For Rachel Moran, it’s mocking the fact that Miley Cyrus was caught on video smoking out of a bong . In a new single aptly titled “The Miley Cyrus Bong Song,” Moran actually films herself at the same club where Miley got herself high and loopy. She parodies the scandal by crooning: “It looks like Liam or am I seeing things? And you say he’s your boyfriend, but I’m pretty sure he’s not anymore.” Rachael Moran Bong Parody On her website, Moran writes: “I, Rachael Moran, am more than your average singer. In LA of all places people are here to fend for themselves. It is my mission as a young artist (18 years old) to not only catapult myself into the spotlight, but to bring others up with me.” And brings others down, it seems. What do you make of this video? Snooki, the Situation and the rest head ‘Back to Jersey’ in the new season, premiering January 6 on MTV. Until now. On Tuesday (December 21), MTV unveiled the official trailer for the new season of “Jersey Shore,” and from the look of things, it’s going to be quite the homecoming. Because not only does the new season — billed as “Back to Jersey” — feature the usual bad behavior (Fights! Nudity! Hot-tub hookups!), but there’s also plenty of drama on tap too, including JWoww’s bitter breakup with her boyfriend, the seemingly endless soap opera that is Ronnie and Sammi, and the addition of a new castmember, the pint-size Deena Nicole Cortese (who, not surprisingly, does not get along with Sammi). And that’s the tip of the iceberg. Ronnie gets a colonoscopy. The Situation continues to do whatever it is he does. Vinny rides a tiny motorcycle. Snooki falls down a lot, gets arrested and, at one point, apparently drinks while sitting in a mini-fridge. Like we said, it’s going to be epic. The new season of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday, January 6, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. And yes, we know that waiting is the hardest part. With big-budget kids’ movies like Yogi Bear and TRON: Legacy and the skinless romantic comedy How Do You Know? dominating theaters this pre-holiday weekend, it’s a perfect time to stay home with your DVD player and check out the stars in some of their less constrictive roles. Uploading into theaters this weekend, Olivia Wilde costars in Disney’s special effects extravaganza TRON: Legacy . Olivia Wilde doesn’t take off her glowing outfit in TRON:, so if you want to see her nude, skip the crowds this weekend and stay home with a DVD of the 2006 skinstant classic Alpha Dog , where Ms. Wilde shows off her eye-popping rackage an hour and 45 minutes in. That will put a light cycle in your pants. Also in theaters this weekend, it’s the new romantic comedy How Do You Know? for all the moviegoers who are too old for TRON. Unfortunately, it may not have the same special effects as those TRON , but it has the same amount of nudity—none. The movie stars Paul Rudd , Owen Wilson , and Reese Witherspoon in a story about a love triangle that will quickly lose the interest of anyone looking to see Reese’s witherpoon. So go pick up the 1998 vampire-free crime flick Twilight where just two minutes in, Reese’s pieces are on full display as she toplessly bangs her boyfriend in bed, and then again a minute later. How do you know when it’s a good movie? Check your pants!
