Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Meek Mill Named Man Of The Year, According To BET Meek Mill has undoubtedly had one of the biggest years of both his life and his career, so it’s only right somebody acknowledges that. The rapper is sending 2018 out the right way with a special honor from BET that’ll most definitely give him some confidence as we stroll into 2019. The artist, who just dropped his highly-anticipated album CHAMPIONSHIPS last month, has been deemed the 2018 Man of the Year by BET. This honor was bestowed upon Meek for many reasons, but it was of course in part due to his vocal criticisms of the country’s ongoing issues with criminal justice and the need for reform. “Who Meek Mill is today is the best version of himself with more sky to climb,” the network said in their statement announcing the honor. “His interviews are now meaty. He’s never sounded more articulate, more personable, more informative . . . Meek widened America’s eyes toward its own illnesses. For example, he spoke from a personal perspective on how a low self-worth and desensitization to the judicial system prevented him and so many others from fighting inaccurate charges.” The year-end celebrations are going to continue for Mill into next week in Miami, where the rapper will be performing at the Story nightclub for a New Year’s Eve throwdown. It’s been a big year for Mr. Meek Mill, it’s only right he end it all with a bang.
Jon Gosselin just took a very passive aggressive dig at his ex-wife. This isn’t exactly new, of course, considering all Jon and Kate have said about each other over the years. In this case, however, Jon used one of the former couple’s children to slam Kate where it likely hurts the most. For years, as loyal celebrity gossip fans likely know, the public did not see much of Collin Gosselin. The young teenager wasn’t even included in his own birthday party because, presumably, he was away at a facility that assisted children with special needs. We’re just quoting Kate herself for this diagnosis. “Collin has special needs,” the TLC star told People Magazine in August of 2016. She added at the time: “[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. “This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this. “By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him – our entire family has been impacted.” Fair enough certainly, right? We’ve written very little on this subject and simply been wishing Collin the best. HOWEVER, Jon now has custody of Collin . He filed for custody several weeks ago and was then rewarded with full-time temporary custody of the 14-year old after Kate did not show up at a court hearing. Having talked openly about having Collin to himself at home and having shared a few photos of himself and his son, Jon responded this week to a question about Collin. “I’d love to know if he actually has ‘special needs,’ or if he just didn’t deal [with] Kate’s BS like we all suspect. Either way, he’s home! And he looks happy,” wrote an Internet users to Jon, who responded as follows: He is not on any spectrum or special needs . That’s quite the statement, really. Why has Collin been away from his family for two years in this case? Is Jon legitimately arguing that Kate is simply full of it and that Collin wanted to get as far away from his mother as possible? AND that Kate lied all this time about her child’s state of mind? Those are pretty wild accusations. As you can see above, Jon spent Christmas with kids Collin and Hannah, the latter of whom has been living with her dad all year, yet who is still under the legal custody of her mother. The kids and their dad also hung out with Jon’s girlfriend, Colleen, and her children. Kate, for her part, did not release any holiday photos and has not commented on this ugly custody situation in a very long time. But she has defended her decision to send Collin away on multiple occasions. “It was not even a really a choice, it was on the advice of his doctors and it had to happen,” she said on a November 2016 episode of ABC’s Nightline, concluding back then: “He’s plodding along and we are too. This is the best thing I can do for him right now and that comforts me.”
While Scott Disick flaunting his relationship with Sofia Richie has caused some problems in the past, things with Kourtney Kardashian are okay these days. Actually, it’s better than okay, since he went with his girlfriend and ex to vacation in Cabo with their kids. This is just the beginning — because the three of them are set to appear in a brand new reality series. RadarOnline has huge news for Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans … and for anyone else who likes drama. Apparently, Kourtney and Scott are gearing up for their very own spin-off that will cover their dating lives. The insider says that it will be the “most intriguing soap opera or spinoff plotline of KUWTK right now.” That makes sense — it’s been a little while since we last saw a new spinoff. But between Scott’s romance with Sofia Richie and Kourtney’s various dating adventures, it’s sure to catch people’s attention. If you’ve been following Scott’s social media, you know that he and Kourtney and Sofia all vacationed together in Cabo. They did it for the kids … but it looks like a certain momager knew that it would be great fodder for viewers, too. “Kris wouldn’t not let this be filmed,” the source reveals. She made sure that cameras were following them on vacation “because it will be great for ratings.” Kris Jenner is an absolute wonder. Sofia and Kourtney have both been reportedly at odds with each other at one time or another. Kourtney was said to feel a little weirded out that a then-19-year-old was playing stepmom to her kids. Sofia was reportedly feeling a little insecure about Scott’s co-parenting relationship with his extremely hot ex. They have a lot of history. These days, however, they’re doing much better together. The source says of Sofia: “she is actually getting a kick out of seeing Scott try to keep his cool right now.” Scott is the guy vacationing with his kids, his girlfriend, and his ex. “It is hilarious to her,” the inside adds. “And she knows it will be great for next season.” When it comes to this spin-off, it sounds like everyone who needs to agree has already done so. Sofia is said to be “on board.” As for Scott? Well, sources say that “he won’t be given much of a choice.” It may be part of his Keeping Up With The Kardashians contract, or that line may simply refer to family pressure. Can you imagine resisting Kris Jenner’s will? I can’t. This will be a great opportunity for branding for this couple — and will also help them make some cash. Scott’s dating life these days is all about Sofia, and has been for over a year. (Can you imagine if he’d had cameras following him everywhere in 2017, especially in Cannes?) But Kourtney isn’t quite tied down in the same way. “Kourtney will be able to include a ton of new characters,” the source points out. For example, the insider notes, men “like her boytoy, Luka Sabbat.” Kourt’s neighborly friend who has also been a romantic interest, Travis Barker, will apparently be part of the arrangement, too. Kourtney, Scott, Sofia, and Kourtney’s guy pals won’t be the only ones getting some camera time. The source shares that the spin-off will feature “a ton of behind-the-scenes assistance and hangers on.” These are people “who don’t get much airtime on the main show.” That sounds like an amazing opportunity for them. Liam Hemsworth has broken his silence. The actor has issued his first statement since becoming a first-time husband, posting a very short but simple and sweet message on Instagram. Along with the above image of he and Miley Cyrus hugging on their wedding day, Hemsworth wrote “My Love” this week, along with a heart emoji. We told you it was short and simple. But also: very sweet, right? The singer and the actor, who started dating back in 2009 and broke up for a bit before rekindling their romance for good in 2014, surprised fans by finally exchanging vows on December 23 . Engagement chatter had surrounded this couple for many years, but neither Miley nor Liam confirmed their plans to actually tie the knot after all this time. Not until after it transpired, that is. At that point, followers were treated to an early Christmas present when photos such as the ones above and below popped up on Instagram, making it very clear that they were now husband and wife. The aforementioned two words marked the first time Hemsworth has commented on his bride, but Cyrus previously shared another snapshot from her nuptials and wrote as a caption: 10 years later ….. On Wednesday night, meanwhile, Miley Tweeted a precious video from the night in which she danced to Bruno Mars‘s “Uptown Funk” in her wedding dress. Members from both families attended the ceremony, which took place in the couple’s Tennessee home. “They always wanted a small, private celebration with family and close friends and that’s what they got. Miley seems ecstatic,” a source told People Magazine, adding: “She loves her Tennessee home and was very happy about having the ceremony there.” But why did the celebrities get married now? What changed in their relationship? Perhaps nothing. Perhaps they just thought it was time to lock each other in for life. However, the rumor mill is churning excitedly with another possibility. Could Miley want to get pregnant ? And she figured she ought to be a wife before she became a mother? It’s possible. The young woman who entered our lives as Hannah Montana is now 26 years old. It wouldn’t be crazy at all at this point for her and Liam to have baby. Just a few months ago, Meghan McCain beautifully eulogized her father , the late Senator John McCain. She just experienced Christmas without her dad for the first time in her life, and shared a short, sweet post on the subject. Now, she’s having to defend herself against trolls who think that grief should be bottled up and never spoken aloud. “I love you,” Meghan McCain wrote in a tweet that paid tribute to her dearly departed father, John McCain. She included a photo of the late Senator operating an outdoor grill. “Merry Christmas dad,” she continued, including his Twitter handle. She concluded her tweet with: “Wherever you are.” The first holiday without a close loved one is incredibly difficult. We’re sure that Meghan felt a full swing of emotions when she uploaded that photo. Tweets are short by their very nature, but writing even just a few words about a recently passed loved one can bring those emotions to the surface. More than anything else, she would have felt grief as she wrote it. Unfortunately, one person sent her a very vile reply. A Twitter account from some nightmarish person whose pinned tweet is by Sebastian Gorka made an absurd demand of Meghan. “Do this in private,” the troll told her. Meghan quoted the troll’s tweet with a message of her own. “If there’s one thing I’m doing in 2019,” Meghan vows. “It’s to continue to destigmatize talking about grief, death, and cancer.” Pretending that your loved one never died doesn’t do you any good, and it makes your loved ones walk on eggshells. “My father shared his life in public,” Meghan affirmed. She continued: “I share it in death.” Meghan continued her tweet, directing her message at many of her followers. “To all of you out there missing a loved one tonight,” she wrote. “You are not alone.” Whether you lost a close loved one a month ago, a year ago, or a decade ago, you can’t “I’m along side you,” Meghan concludes. “Sending strength.” That is a very kind, very affirming message. “An honorable mission, Meghan,” replies one fan. “My husband died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 46.” “Grieving in private is convenient only for those who aren’t grieving,” the same fan affirms. That is profound and extremely true. “We share joy,” the fan notes. “Why not share sadness?” “These are feelings we all experience at some point,” the tweet reasons. The follower concludes: “I send love and strength your way.” “Bless you Meghan,” writes another fan. The follower acknowledges: “I know this Christmas will be especially difficult for you [and] your family.” “I lost my dear Father 5 years ago,” the fan reveals. “Not a day goes by that I do not think of him.” “But,” the follower notes. “I am so very grateful for the time he was with us.” “Merry Christmas to you and yours,” that fan concludes. As positive as those replies were, that troll was not the only terrible person on Twitter. “I agree 100%,” replied one hater who agreed with the grief-shamer. “People seem to have this need to publicize and document every thought online,” the tweet concluded. “I agree,” chimed in another Twitter clown. “Acting like she’s the first and Only one to lose a family member.” That tweet concluded: “All six of mine gone.” Obviously, Meghan McCain is a public figure. If she had not given her late father a public shout-out, people would have shamed her for “forgetting” her dad. Also, social media exists for people to document their thoughts and experiences online. It’s not supposed to be a cesspool of animosity. And she very clearly is not acitng like she’s the only one to lose a family member. At all. Maybe that person’s personal losses have made them touchy on the subject, but that’s not an excuse. Ultimately, it seems clear that Meghan’s critics were politically motivated. Kevin Spacey recently got mocked for one video. But he may soon go to jail for another. As previously reported in disturbing detail, Spacey has been charged with felony sexual assault . Yes, felony sexual assault. This development has taken place just over a year since Netflix fired the Oscar winner from House of Cards due to other complaints it had received about his behavior on set, along with an accusation of sexual misconduct against Spacey from several years ago. This new charge, however, stems from an alleged incident in 2016 during which an 18-year old aspiring actor says Spacey groped him at a Nantucket bar. In response to the allegation, Spacey got extra weird and creepy by posting the footage below… … of himself broadly refusing the claim while pretending to be his House of Cards character Frank Underwood: Kevin Spacey Gets Charged With Felony Sexual Assault, Responds as Frank Underwood in Bizarre Video Now, however, police say they have a Snapchat video of the interaction between Spacey and his alleged victim, courtesy of the victim filming what transpired back in the day. The victim was working as a busboy at the Club Car establishment at the time and told Spacey he was 23 and studying business at Wake Forest, according to a criminal complaint filed in Nantucket District Court. A short while after meeting, he says Spacey bought him a number of alcoholic drinks. He also says Spacey bragged to him about the size of his penis — and then attempted to get the busboy to go back to his house afterward. Later this same evening, standing near a piano together, the teenager details how Spacey unzipped his pants and rubbed his penis for about three minutes. TMZ reports that Spacey’s lawyers are arguing that prosecutors should be barred from pursing charges because the busboy did not report the incident to authorities the night it happened. The attorneys say he wasn’t interviewed in person for more than a year. Spacey’s legal team also states that the victim was drunk and may have blacked out and didn’t object during the three minutes of groping. “That’s an incredibly long time to have a strange man’s hands in your pants, correct?” one of the actor’s lawyers said to a judge in court last week. Per his legal complaint, though, the victim says he was afraid to report the incident because he was underage and had been drinking. He also says he did try to shift his body away from Spacey, inside of a very crowded bar… but the actor continued to reach down his pants. The updated part of this story is that the alleged victim sent his girlfriend a Snapchat video during the encounter. However, Spacey’s attorney says all it shows is someone’s hand touching another person’s shirt, not any sort of illegal or unwanted groping. After this touching took place, Spacey got up to go to the bathroom; the busboy left the bar. While on his way home, Spacey texted him, “I think we lost each other,” and the busboy did not respond, the complaint reads. For the record, and for whatever it is worth, allegations in the complaint match those of Heather Unruh, a former TV news anchor in Boston who said at a press conference last year that her son had been sexually assaulted by the star. Spacey faces a charge of indecent assault and battery, Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe said on Monday. He is scheduled to be arraigned on January 7. No matter the outcome, his career is very much over.
