The water provided will be from the company they started together called Just Water. Via The Root: Just Water, an eco-friendly water company started by celebrity father-son duo [Will and Jaden Smith], donated 9,200 bottles of water to the city and will continue to do so on a monthly basis until lead levels in the water at Flint public schools are below the federal threshold. Just Water CEO Ira Laufer told MLive that the donation was a “no-brainer.” “This just makes sense for us to do,” Laufer said. “Jada Smith has visited Flint and met with the mayor. Flint is very dear to her heart. … After reading more about [Flint’s] challenges and the mayor objecting to pulling bottled water from the schools, we thought ‘Let’s help these kids.’” Laufer [said] that the Smith family is “aware of the Flint donation and very excited.” Just Water was founded by the Smiths in 2015. Its packaging is crafted from almost all-renewable sources, and Laufer said that its water comes from an ethically sourced model contributing to the economy in Glenn Falls, N.Y. [The company] sent four pallets of water to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan on March 1. Meanwhile, Flint schools had initial tests conducted back in February that showed lead levels were below the federal action limit, however, five of nine elementary schools had at least one test that exceeded that threshold. Over the last 18 months, Flint’s water supply has tested within federal guidelines for lead, but residents are still strongly cautioned to use bottled water and/or faucet filters as a precaution against further contamination. As you may have heard, the 2018 Oscars were held last night, and while the event was met with a collective shrug and record low ratings, it was an interesting ceremony for a number of reasons. All The Bachelor spoilers you had read about, yet had difficulty believing, actually became a reality: Arie Luyendyk Jr really did propose to Becca Kurfin in Peru, selecting her as the winner of his season and his heart… … only to turn around a short while later and dump her for runner-up Lauren Burnham! For real, people! “Sometimes when I’m on these little getaways with Becca I think about, What would this be like with Lauren? ” Arie told the camera during the third hour of this stunning finale, adding: “It just kills me, because I have a great woman next to me. I go to bed and I think about Lauren. I wake up and I think about Lauren.” “And I know Becca sees when I struggle. She sees the fact that my mind is somewhere else. She knows that I think about Lauren.” Explaining his “guilt” and how he made a big “mistake”to viewers, Arie later welcomed Becca to Los Angeles, sat her down on the couch – and dumped her! “The reality of it is that being with you, although it’s been everything that I wanted, I still think about [Lauren],” Arie told Becca, earning points for honest… we guess. “Are you f-cking kidding me?” Becca replies after Arie admits he wants to see if there’s a “possibility” for him and Lauren. She says getting dumped in this manner was “embarrassing” and adds: “There was a better and more tactful way to do it. “A breakup is hard enough, and to have it all filmed and have to re-watch it and know that people all across the country are watching you get your heart broken, it is embarrassing. It’s not fun. “I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It was like a slap in the face.” The two-hour After the Rose special airs tonight on ABC.
