They beat out hundreds of other entrants from across the nation to advance to the final round of 10 male and 10 female contestants. PETA Makeup artist Niyah Byrd (right) is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and uses only cruelty-free products in her makeup work and, in her work as a model, has proudly turned down offers from companies that test on animals. “Whether you’re a police officer, a food bike–riding entrepreneur, a member of the Army Reserve, or a makeup artist, vibrant plant-based meals can give you the energy that you need in order to keep up with the action,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Each one of the finalists in PETA’s contest is a testament to how sexy vegans are—inside and out.” Voting for the finalists to help PETA determine whom it should select as the winners ends at 12 noon EDT on June 21. Gloria Govan and her boyfriend, former NBA point guard and coach Derek Fisher, were involved in a series car accident very early Sunday morning. According to law enforcement officials, the Basketball Wives star and her long-time boyfriend managed to avoid injury despite the severe nature of the accident. The California Highway Patrol has issued a press release that states Fisher was driving northbound on the 101 freeway through Sherman Oaks, California when he veered to the right and on to the paved right shoulder of the road. The car he was driving (a 2015 Cadillac) then proceeded across the right shoulder, colliding with the raised concrete curb and guardrail and flipping over. Still, as previously mentioned, the CHP says there was “no injuries noted or claimed” at the time of the crash. It took place at approximately 3 a.m. Officials say that Fisher and the VH1 star were assisted out of the vehicle, at which time a DUI evaluation was conducted. “During the collision investigation, it was discovered that Party #1 [Fisher] had been drinking,” police say on the record, adding: “A DUI evaluation was conducted and Party #1 was subsequently arrested for DUI without incident.” It was also noted in this report that Fisher was taken into custody without incident. The stars have been a romantic item for over a year now. Back in October of 2015, Fisher and NBA player Matt Barnes got into an intense brawl after the latter discovered that his ex-teammate was having sexual intercourse with his ex-wife. Indeed, Barnes and Govan got married in August of 2013 and filed for divorce about two years later. Fisher, meanwhile, played in the NBA for 20 years, 13 of which were with the Los Angeles Lakers. The season after he retired, Fisher was hired to be the head coach of the New York Knicks, compiling a terrible 17-65 record in his first season. He was subsequently fired in February of 2016 and has been working as an analyst for TNT and doing basketball coverage for Spectrum SportsNet over the past several months. WELP! Kenya Moore Serves Matt Jordan A Restraining Order Kenya Moore should finally feel safe now that he ex has been served a restraining order. As previously reported the RHOA star filed a petition for a restraining order against Matt Jordan because she “feared for her life.” Why? Because the window-breaking reality star allegedly told someone she would “get what she deserves” after they broke up. Now after months of dodging it, Matt’s been formally served. According to AllAboutTheTea the personal trainer who “keeps a low profile” was tricked into being served the restraining order by Kenya’s publicist. The site reports that on Thursday (June 1st) Matt ran into Kenya’s publicist at a local mall and “expressed his frustration” over Kenya’s recent “Breakfast Club” interview. While chatting with the hosts it was alleged that her publicist demanded that Matt be referred to as “that boy” and a none too pleased Matt confronted the publicist about it. The publicist then allegedly told Matt that that was untrue, and he no longer worked with the RHOA star because she owed him money. He then offered to help him seek positive press opportunities and asked to chat at a local restaurant. Matt allegedly fell for the whole act and after five minutes of meeting with the publicist at the restaurant, a process server (suddenly) popped up and served him. Twirl on that, Matt! As you’ve surely heard by now, the UK was hit by yet another terrorist attack last night. Three men men drove a van onto London Bridge, hitting pedestrians before they jumped out and began stabbing people. Seven people were killed and 48 were injured. The terrorists were shot and killed by police when they arrived on the scene. It sounds absolutely horrifying, and it’s especially scary considering the Manchester attack that happened less than two weeks ago. On May 22nd, a suicide bomber entered an Ariana Grande concert , setting off a nail bomb that killed 22 people. Countless others were injured. Ariana was understandably devastated by what happened, but she still managed to pull together, along with her team, to plan a benefit concert for the victims and their families. The concert will take place back in Manchester, and Ariana will perform, along with Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Coldplay, Niall Horan, Usher, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, the Black Eyed Peas, and Pharrell Williams. Anyone who attended her original Manchester concert can get in for free, and all proceeds will go to a fund set up for the people who were injured and the families of the people who were killed. The concert was scheduled for tonight … but will it go on in light of last night’s attack in London? According to Ariana’s manager, Scooter Braun, absolutely it will. Here’s the statement he released in full: After the events last night in London, and those in Manchester just two weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honor those lost, injured, and affected . We plan to honor them with courage, bravery, and defiance in the face of fear. Today’s One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater purpose. For their part, Manchester police have said that they’ll be thoroughly searching everyone coming into the concert . Ariana, meanwhile, has been in Manchester for a few days, visiting her fans who were injured during the original attack. Last night, she tweeted that she was “praying for London,” and this morning she’s been promoting tonight’s show. The concert will be televised in several countries, and any money earned from this will also go to the victims.
