Asking for a friend… But seriously. “Real Housewives Of Potomac” star Charisse Jordan Jackson says when her husband Eddie Jordan warned her that reality TV might ruin their relationship it actually didn’t deter her from doing the show. Jackson Jordan made an appearance on Bravo’s Daily Dish podcast : “”When I told [Eddie], I said, ‘They want me to do this reality show’ — at the time we didn’t know it was Housewives, we were thinking maybe it could be Housewives — and so he said, ‘Well, if you do it, we’ll probably get a divorce.’” Jackson Jordan says his comments shocked her, especially because she’d always supported his career pursuits: “It was not the answer I was expecting. So when he said it, I was devastated. Like I literally gave up my career twice because of his career. We moved to California, then New Jersey, Maryland, Philly, then back to Maryland, and now I say a few words, and you’re going to say to me divorce if I do this? So it kind of put me in a different space of, ‘Now I really want to do this.’” Jackson Jordan revealed that she was mourning the deaths of several loved ones before the airing of the first season of Potomac and that her husband’s mention of the d-word was also devastating, considering she thought the show would help her move past her grief: “It felt like another death.” “I needed to do it for me, so that’s why I did it,” said Charisse.
