The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed the royal baby to the world this morning during a photocall in St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle in Berkshire. “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” said Meghan Markle to photographers while Prince Harry held their son. And this season, show star Gizelle Bryant said issues like Michael Darby’s arrest, Monique Samuels’ and Ashley Darby’s pregnancy, Candiace Dillard’s wedding and a cast trip to the Big Easy will not disappoint. “I do feel like this season of ‘Real Housewives’ is the best yet,” Bryant told us. “I feel like this is going to become our breakout season. Not that people don’t know who we are, but I feel like people are super excited about where the franchise is going.” We caught up with the “Everyhue Beauty” founder and mom of three, and she spoke about what viewers can expect, dropping her novel, “My World,” and her dating life after breaking up with her now ex-Sherman. BOSSIP: Things were up and down last season between you and Karen. What is your relationship like now? Gizelle: “Currently, it’s up and down, I never know where it’s gonna land. Off the heels of the reunion last year, said ‘Gizelle, if you’re my friend, you’ll knock down my door. So that’s what I have been trying to do. She’s been in a tough spot, she lost her parents, so I wanna be a friend to her. But if you keep pushing me away, at some point I’m just going to go away…But she and I have known each other for a long time. And I get that she’s a tough friend to have, but you do want her as a friend.” BOSSIP: How are things between you and Candiace now? And how was her wedding? Gizelle: “She actually invited me to the wedding. I did go. She wanted to sit down and chit chat before the wedding because she didn’t want any drama at the wedding. Over time, I’ve got to know Candiace better and I really like Candiace. She’s a spoiled brat. She has issues. But I like her for who she is…It was a beautiful wedding. We know her husband was cleared of suspicion of sex assault, and we know she’s pretty far along in her pregnancy. Gizelle: “She’s eight months, so she’s ready to pop. She’s super excited. We’ve all seen Ashley go through a miscarriage, and struggle to get pregnant again. So she is pregnant – Michael is the father! (Laughs) I don’t know how we feel about that. Just kidding. But Michael is a special character. So we see throughout the season – and you’ve all heard – his allegations. They’ve been dropped. But to get to that place where the allegations are dropped, it’s very juicy and there are a lot of twists and turns, so stay tuned for that!”
About two weeks ago, Britney Spears checked out of her mental health facility and went home after a month of rehab. Though the reason for her stay was maintaining wellness despite family stress, conspiracy theories circulated that it was against her will. Now, Britney’s mother has lawyered up and is trying to make sure that she can personally safeguard her daughter’s freedom and autonomy. There is an upcoming hearing on the subject of Britney’s conservatorship, which has dragged on for an unbelievable 11 years. This hearing will be different for one major reason. The Blast reports that Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, has filed a notice. She will be appearing at the hearing. This is new but, as we will explain, not as much of a surprise as it might have been a couple of months ago. Lynne filed the notice on Monday. Within the filing, she requested special notice. She wants to be informed of any and all matters related to Britney and her conservatorship. The Blast notes that Lynne is employing her own attorney to handle this paperwork. Until now, Lynne has never played a role in this matter. The conservatorship has been primarily in Jamie’s hands for over a decade. Jamie and Lynne have been separated for years. But, like many parents, they have always appeared to be of a similar mindset regarding looking after Britney. Recently, however, it looks as if the winds have shifted. While Britney was in the mental health facility, wild rumors claimed that she had been forced to go there by her domineering father. An entire “Free Britney” movement grew out of it. Some (me) accused some of her more diehard stans of treating Britney more like a meme than like a real person. It was also pointed out that the allegations that she was strongarmed were unconfirmed and sounded unlikely, if not impossible. However, it was reported that Lynne was “liking” posts on this subject as they appeared on social media. Was Lynne merely expressing support for those who were cheering for her daughter? Or was she, in her own quiet way, expressing a belief that Jamie Spears exercises too much control over his 37-year-old daughter? Publicly, however, Lynne Spears said nothing. Britney herself released a video while still in rehab to assure her fans on social media that all is well, and to not believe rumors. It is unclear if Lynne intends to challenge Jamie’s control of Britney’s conservatorship, or even the conservatorship itself. Lynne may have simply realized that she wants to take a greater interest in her daughter’s well-being. Britney’s 30 days away may have been a factor, but the same could be said of Jamie’s recent health crisis. Real talk: none of us know for sure what’s going on with the Spears family dynamic. Not fully. But we do know that Britney is amazing. She’s a regular super-mom. She goes above and beyond what many stay-at-home moms would do to support and encourage her twos ons. If Britney were ever truly in need of help, we would hope that she would turn to others. Some have suggested that if Britney were locked away against her will, boyfriend Sam Asghari could have spoken up. We’re sure that he loves her enough to do so. With all the current pregnancies in the immediate Duggar family, it’s easy to forget that a beloved member of the extended clan is also expecting. Yes, we learned last month that Amy Duggar is pregnant with her first child. Nowadays, Jinger is commonly regarded as the most rebellious Duggar, but Amy is the OG in that respect. When Amy married Dillon King in 2015 , Jim Bob and Michelle fled the reception in horror upon realizing there would be secular music and dancing. (Yeah, the Duggars have a different standard for rebellion then the rest of the world.) Anyway, that certainly wasn’t Amy’s last act of defiance. Hell, in the Duggar clan, the fact that she’s 32 and just now carrying her first child is considered grounds for public shaming. But Amy has never been one to show any embarrassment with regard to her choice of lifestyle. In fact, it seems she’s enjoying every second of being pregnant: Amy posted the above pic to her Instagram page today, along with a caption reading: “Ummmm go buy a maternity pillow on Amazon right now! This thing is amazing!!!!!!!” Some fans claimed they could see the shadow of a baby bump in Amy’s pic. But that might just be wishful thinking. We don’t know exactly how far along Amy is, but she just announced that she’s expecting in late April. And given how psyched she seems, we doubt she kept the secret for very long. And how does the Jim Bob branch of the family feel about Amy becoming a mom? Well, it’s tough to say, as she seems to have little contact with her more famous relatives. Though to be fair, given the astonishing number of Duggar pregnancies at the moment, we suppose it’s no surprise that Amy is being overlooked. Anna, Jessa, Joy-Anna, and Kendra Duggar are all expecting children at the moment. Obviously, this is a source of great pride and joy to Jim Bob and Michelle, who taught their kids from a young age that procreation is their primary reason for being. So we’re sure they’re not as psyched for Amy as they are for their own kids, but to Jim Bob and Michelle, more fundies are always a good thing — even if they’re the type who dance and listen to secular music. Kate Middleton has broken her silence on the latest Royal Baby. And one could read a whole lot into her take on the newborn – or, more specifically, the newborn’s mother – if one really wanted to do so. A day after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed a son into the world, Middleton spoke briefly to reporters about the very young man who is now seventh in line for the British throne. “It’s really exciting for both of them,” she told reporters on Tuesday, before maybe growing a little passive aggressive and adding: “These next few weeks, it’s always very daunting first time around so wish them all the best. You caught that, right? Yes, Middleton is sending her best wishes to her brother-in-law and his polarizing wife. But she’s also subtly reminding them that she already has three kids and she knows all about this parenthood thing and, hey, it can be a bit difficult… just in case they weren’t already aware of this fact. Middleton added that she knows all about having kids in the spring (Prince Louis was born last year on April 23, while Princess Charlotte celebrated her fourth birthday on May 2), once again making a point to emphasize her authority on this topic. “It’s such a special time – with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays. It’s such a great time of the year to have a baby,” she said. “Spring’s in the air, so it’s really great. As William said, look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name’s going to be.” Wait, was that another shot? Did she just accuse Markle of dragging her feet by not having yet come up with a name for her son? Maybe not, we guess. Perhaps we’re reading a little too much into that line. But it’s hard not to when there’s been chatter for so long over Markle and Middleon, as various outlets have alleged for months that the two Royals simply do not get along. Are the rumors of a Middleton-Markle feud totally made up? Or is there really bad blood here? Might Kate to and quickly get pregnant in order to steal the attention away from Markle again? It seems unlikely, but you never really know. In the wake of Meghan giving birth, Prince William and his wife did issue a formal announcement as well. Read a message last night on the official Kensington Palace Instagram account: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family.” That’s very sweet. Even if some critics don’t think it’s very sincere. Elsewhere, while Markle remains quiet and in recovery, enjoying time with her precious son, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have now released a statement of their own. “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news and we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return,” they said via the official Clarence House Twitter account. Prince William, finally, had some fun at his sibling’s expense when speaking to press at a King’s Cup Regatta event in London on Tuesday. He said he is “absolutely thrilled and looking forward to seeing” his nephew in the near future, adding that is “very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.” We can only hope that Harry and Meghan caught up on their ZZZZZs prior to becoming parents for the first time. Wright There have been renewed calls to open up the investigation into Sandra Bland ’s suspicious death after a Texas news outlet published the video she filmed of her own infamous arrest in 2015. The footage, made public by WFAA late Monday night, was apparently evidence that local police had been concealing for nearly four years. The revelation that Bland was aware enough to grab her smartphone and record the harrowing ordeal convinced many users across social media that the 28-year old Chicago native was prepared to hold police accountable in a court of law. Instead, three days later, police said they found Bland hanging in her Waller County jail cell and ruled her death a suicide. The Texas Department of Public Safety denied it had withheld any evidence. “The premise that the video was not produced as a part of the discovery process is wrong,” the agency told WFAA in a brief statement. “A hard drive containing copies of 820 Gigabytes of data compiled by DPS from its investigation, including the dashcam videos, jail video footage and data from Sandra Bland’s cell phone, was part of discovery.” Sandra Bland was arrested for no reason. The state of Texas had evidence of that. They covered it up. And she’s dead. Many activists argued that she should not have been arrested for a minor traffic infraction or jailed in the first place. Earlier this year, another Black inmate was also found dead after apparently hanging himself in the same Texas jail where Bland died, prompting further questions about the facility. Bland’s death sparked police reforms that in practice should have prevented the death in January. For one thing, face-to-face cell inspections were supposed to occur more frequently after Bland died.
