Quentin Sets The Record Straight

Wine + Brad Pitt + Quentin Tarantino = Box Office hit.  We all know that this is one of the secrets behind the famed director’s Inglorious Basterds success.  Tarantino has confirmed the now infamous story that he and Brad polished off five bottles of wine before they struck a deal over the WW11 movie.  But he wants everyone to know he didn’t purposely get the hunky actor so liquored to make sure he said yes to the starring role.  “We did get drunk, but I didn’t get him drunk to say yes to this movie,” he said on The Late Show With Conan O’Brien. “He wanted to talk to me about this movie so I went to see him. He lives in France – on a vineyard.

Brad Calls Tom’s Movie ‘Ridiculous’

Brad Pitt may have sparked a war between war movies when he said this about Tom Cruise’s Nazi film Valkyrie : “It was a ridiculous movie.” We’re not joking. The Inglourious Basterds star told German magazine Stern “there’s no comparison” when it comes to his new film and Cruise’s WWII Hitler Assassination movie. “The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe Quentin [Tarantino] put a cover on that pot.

Brad Pitt has signed on for an animated film so his kids will think he’s “cool.” The Inglorious Basterd star is the latest actor to be announced for Oobermind , an animated movie about a superhero who’s had enough of saving lives and wants to quit the business.

Quentin Hashes Things Out

Quentin Tarantino went on the Howard Stern radio show and claimed that Brad Pitt gave him a block of hashish – after the pair boozed their way through five bottles of wine!  The film director has revealed that he went to Pitt’s French home, in a bid to get him to sign up for new flick, Inglourious Basterds . Tarantino claimed one of the “coolest” things Pitt did during the meeting was to “pull out a brick of hash” and give him a piece of it.
