Zach Galifianakis is a riot on the big screen today (even in last year’s rather staid It’s Kind of a Funny Story ), but I’m willing to bet that the 42-year-old comedian’s strongest fans were just as fervent nine years ago, when he was but a piano-playing standup with a failed VH1 talk show. For those of us who watched that damn show every night for its two-month run in 2002 and remember when he interviewed Bradley Cooper in studio and singer Natalie Imbruglia on a crane, Galifianakis is a prized treasure. Really, Kelly Bensimon is not upset about getting the boot from The Real Housewives of New York City . She’s just getting started , after all! But if any reality TV show producers out there are reading this and they wanna make Kelly an offer, what the heck, she’ll listen. “I get approached all the time about doing different shows and everyone always has a different angle,” Bensimon claims to E! News. “But this is the time for a bigger and better deal… Whoever gives me the greatest deal that is synonymous with my brand, that’s something I want to do.” Bensimon, of course, was let go by Bravo this month, along with Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop. They will allegedly be replaced by Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher . How will Kelly possibly cope with the loss of this six-figure paycheck? Still not very long removed from her divorce, Jennifer Lopez is diving into work. She performed last weekend at the iHeart Music Radio Festival and Randy Jackson confirmed at the event that his pal is “doing [ American Idol ] auditions and rising above.” It helps when you might be dating Bradley Cooper , of course. The newly-married Prince William and Kate Middleton are always on the lookout for ways to help various charities, especially those involving children. On Monday, the royal couple will open the new Oak Centre for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey, England. The children’s unit will specialize in cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. William will unveil a plaque to officially open the children’s center before he and Kate Middleton , both 29, meet hospital staff, key donors and fundraisers. William was appointed President of The Royal Marsden Hospital in May 2007. The position was previously held by his mother, the late Princess Diana. The facility is one of the largest comprehensive children’s cancer centers in Europe, with 600 inpatients and more than 5,000 day patients every year. Back in April, William and Kate asked their wedding guests to donate to the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund in lieu of gifts. The guests obliged. The Internet soon lit up with reports of a budding romance between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lopez as they were spotted at the New York restaurant Per Se.
