Cheryl Tweedy Puts On A Busty Show

Here’s my all-time favorite British singer Cheryl Tweedy up on stage for a show. And I’m loving the cleavage here. I just wish she didn’t have all those dumb wardrobe changes . I don’t get why pop stars do that. Why mess with a good thing? I don’t change my sweatpants after every post. Actually, I don’t ever change my sweatpants. That reminds me, maybe it’s time to do laundry. Thanks Cheryl. » view all 34 photos Related Posts Cheryl Tweedy In Tight Leather Pants! Cinefamily Gets Nasty with a 30-Day Celebration of "Video Nasties" [PICS]

Not familiar with Video Nasties , eh? Well, gather round, kids, and let ol’ Uncle Skin tell you a story: A long, long time ago, back in the VHS era, somehow the British government became convinced that horror movies were single-handedly sending the morals of English youth straight down the toilet. So they assembled a list of 72 titles, each featuring content– nudity, gore, graphic torture, David Hess–that was deemed inappropriate and thus banned or censored in the UK. Of course, once this list was leaked to the media, each of those 72 movies became instant must-sees for horror fans, and the resulting notoriety has buoyed their popularity to this very day. To celebrate the twisted legacy of the Video Nasties, Los Angeles’ Cinefamily is holding a month-long series of 30 midnight movies, each hand-picked from that scandalous 72. We’ve already missed Night Warning (1981), Hell of the Living Dead (1980), and The Witch Who Came from the Sea (1976), but never fear- the lineup only gets more nasty as the month goes on, culminating with a 35mm screening of the infamous Cannibal Holocaust (1980) on Halloween night. And as a test for the most hardcore of horror hounds, Cinefamily is also holding a contest: each movie-goer who attends a midnight screening will be issued a scorecard, and the lucky guy (or gal) whose stomach of steel endures the most Nasties gets to guest program a Cinefamily screening of their choice! See the full schedule for Cinefamily’s Nightmare City: A Video Nasties Celebration series after the jump!

Cloud Atlas, Lana & Andy Wachowski Score Standing Ovation At Secret Fantastic Fest Debut

“ What is an ocean but a multitude of drops? ” The affecting spirit of Cloud Atlas was palpable last night as Fantastic Fest unveiled its second Secret Screening — the ambitious sci-fi adaptation — with Lana and Andy Wachowski (“Formerly the Wachowski brothers, now Wachowski Starship,” quipped Andy) making a rare public appearance. The Wachowskis, who wrote and directed the ensemble epic with Tom Tykwer ( Run Lola Run ), are notoriously press shy . But Cloud Atlas , adapted from David Mitchell’s novel about humanity, interconnectivity, transformation and free will, is much more a personal mission statement than their last few Matrix hits and the typically daring Fantastic Fest crowd made for a perfect fit, anointing Cloud Atlas with an also-rare post-screening standing ovation. Following an unprecedented structure, Cloud Atlas flits back and forth between six disparate stories of characters in different eras and lands, each story connected by a thread — a journal, a piece of music, a collection of handwritten letters, an oral history — the same actors (Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving, Jim Broadbent, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Yhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, and Susan Sarandon) playing multiple characters throughout. In any given minute Cloud Atlas may jump from a mercantile ship circa 1849 to 1936 Europe, 1973 San Francisco, futuristic Neo Seoul, present-day England, or a remote village “106 winters after The Fall.” Lana, speaking after the screening, described the story’s structure akin to skipping stones — “only it’s a narrative structure that skipped pieces.” In today’s world of self-inflicted multimedia ADD, as we divide our attentions between cell phones and texts and television and the constant din, however, doing a bit of brain-juggling to sort it all out should only be easier. Still, the cumulative effect may prove disorienting to some viewers, particularly since some characters’ motivation can get lost in the sprawl. (The original script ran 275 pages, according to Andy Wachowski: “The book is so rich that we had a lot of dead babies in the end.”) But where Cloud Atlas soars is in its emotional richness and stirring sentimentality; it’s a challenging film that asks a lot of its audience but wears its heart on its sleeve, swelling with genuine humanity and a deceptively simple provocation: Will you allow yourself to be changed by the love and kindness of another? The Wachowskis and Tykwer add to Mitchell’s text the use of multiple actors in multiple roles, often obscured via makeup and prosthetics, and frequently (controversially) transformed into other races and ethnicities. Hanks’s alter egos as a British thug with a terrible accent and later (or rather, earlier) a ginger-haired, knob-nosed 19th century doctor test the limits of believability. But Sturgess, transformed via prosthetics as a 22nd century Korean freedom fighter, is actually quite wonderful; disappearing into the role beneath his “Asian” face, Sturgess does some of his finest work to date and “transforms” into a bona fide action star in the Neo Seoul segment’s Matrix -esque action sequences. The race issue is just the opposite in Cloud Atlas — whites plays Asian, Asians play latina, men play women (and when it’s Hugo Weaving as a Nurse Ratched type, boy, whatta woman). And it’s not just exterior boundaries that get toyed with; Cloud Atlas ‘s movie stars play background parts in various segments, too. That Korean actress Doona Bae — a force to be reckoned with as the futuristic “fabricant” Sonmi-451, a clone with soul and a Joan of Arc haircut — steals so much of the film is an acting coup and a stroke of meta-storytelling genius. Cloud Atlas also soars on its hauntingly evocative score by Twyker, who wrote the film’s music and key themes before filming began. The Wachowskis’ minds were blown by the process, and they described it as akin to discovering the world was not, in fact, flat. “We’ll never go back,” they said. “[Now] we’re round-earthers.” Read more on Cloud Atlas , in theaters October 26. Colin Firth And Helen Mirren To Reprise British Monarch Roles In Separate Gigs

Colin Firth won an Oscar playing Britain’s King George VI in the 2010 historical drama The King’s Speech . And Dame Helen Mirren won her Academy Award playing the current U.K. monarch Queen Elizabeth II back in 2006 for her role in The Queen . Now both are set to wear their crowns again in two separate projects. Firth played Elizabeth II’s father, George VI in the Tom Hooper-directed feature about the WWII-era king who ascended the throne after his more dashing older brother abdicated in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson in a scandal that rocked the British Empire even as the clouds of war gathered in Europe. Also starring Helena Bonham Carter as his wife, Elizabeth, the film focused on the shy George VI, known to relatives and close friends as Bertie, who overcame a severe speech impediment to help lead his country to face the Nazi threat. The Press Association U.K. said that the new film is in the “very early stages,” but Bonham Carter and fellow King’s Speech co-star Geoffrey Rush are also likely to return. In this follow-up, Firth will return as George VI during the dark days of the Blitz, in which Buckingham Palace along with much of London during frequent night raids. Along with a Best Actor win for Firth, The King’s Speech won Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Mirren, meanwhile, will take on the role of George VI’s heir, Queen Elizabeth II in a new stage play written by The Queen author Peter Morgan, according to The Guardian. Stephen Daldry will direct The Audience , which will explore her confidential meetings with her long line of British Prime Ministers from her first as a young Queen, Winston Churchill, to the current office holder, David Cameron. In The Queen , she meets with ’90s-era P.M. Tony Blair (played by Michael Sheen) around the time of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales capturing a period of great tumult for the British royal family. Appearing on Saturday Night Live shortly after her first stint playing Elizabeth II, Mirren famously said, “I’d like to say something for the record, although I played the Queen I am nothing like her. I may have been appointed Dame of the British Empire, but I am not all scones and teacups, I’m more biscuits and D-cups.” [ Sources: The Press Association , The Guardian ]

Cher Lloyd Is Growing Up Nicely

Here’s British singer Cher Lloyd at the J-14 InTune 2012 Concert. I don’t know much about her music, but she’s cute, and she’s obviously got some talent, at least judging by those legs. This girl may still be a little young for me though, and I don’t want to get in any trouble. Maybe Cher can introduce me to her blonde friend instead? I like the way she rocks that mic. On the 12th September 2012 my dream finally came true and I met…

On the 12th September 2012 my dream finally came true and I met Justin Bieber. For the last 3 and a half years I have been supporting Justin, but somehow I just never got the chance to meet him. We did try. We went everywhere, we slept outside his hotels, we camped for days just to try and see him but nothing ever happened. Then about 3 weeks ago there was a rumor going around that  Justin was doing a UK book signing. My friends and I were like freaking out  cause we seriously needed wristbands. Then WHSmith tweeted they were going on sale the next day at 10. When the wristbands went on sale, my computer froze and yeah.. I was crying and freaking out. At about 11am my best friend called me and was crying because she managed to get 2 wristbands.  I was so happy! The day came and we live 4 hours away from London so we had to get the coach down there, it took like 5 hours. We were freaking out because we were so happy. We finally arrived in London and my other friends were lost so we had to go and meet them but luckily we found out Justin was staying like 30 seconds from there. We found his hotel and then we were standing outside for hours. We met some amazing people outside, you know who you are girls woo! Kenny comes out and was calming everyone down, then suddenly Justin just comes out like telling everyone to stay behind the barrier but no-one did so he went back inside. Then take 2. Justin came out again and then everyone stayed behind the barrier and listened. He came over to our side first. I was like “Hi Justin can I have a picture please?” He put his arm round my waist and we took a picture. Then his car went and we chased after it for like 10 minutes, it was so funny! He was like waving to us and stuff. Then it was time to go to the book signing. We found the secret location and we queued for another couple of hours. Finally we were going in. I saw Kenny again and I had a chat with him (I love this man so much, he’s so kind seriously) Then I’m walking up to the table where Justin was and he did this massive smile. He was like “Hey,” so then I said “You have done so much for my over the past 3 years.” Then he was like, “Thank you so much I love you” and then winked at me. I ALMOST DIED!  Then he gave me my book and I just cried so much after that. It was definitely the best day of life. I never ever ever thought in a million years the would happen but ‘Never say never’ for real, I stick by that. Dreams do come true. -@BecciBieber1 See the article here: On the 12th September 2012 my dream finally came true and I met…

I met Justin when he was in London, outside of his hotel on the…

I met Justin when he was in London, outside of his hotel on the 12th of September with my friends Charlee, Carly, and Lexiee. I met them in April outside Justin’s hotel. We had heard some rumors on Twitter that he was staying at the Langham Hotel. I had stayed up all night trying to find out where he was, I even got my mum to search! Even though I had a wristband to the signing that day, I had a feeling that we would all meet him. After around half an hour of waiting, Dan Kanter came out. We were so happy, we knew Justin was staying there. Just over 2 hours later Justin came out. We had met some other beliebers there and some crazy girl literally ran towards him and gave him a onesie (which I thought was pretty funny, it hand penguins all over it). Kenny came out of the hotel and said that if we got behind the barrier, Justin would speak to every single one of us. As much as we were all excited, we did what Kenny said despite some angry paps climbing over. Justin did as he promised and took pictures with us all. He dropped my iPhone though so my picture is really messed but I found one of us on the internet. Justin went to go get in his car but my friends and I had made a really epic scrapbook and we wanted to give it to him. My friend Carly grabbed it and threw it into Justin’s car. It accidentally hit Alfredo and we yelled sorry! I kind of suffer from depression and I do self harm, but Justin saw it at his hotel and he gave me a hug and made me promise him to never self harm again. But like I said, I had a wristband for his signing and I waited hours till it was my turn to meet him! As I walked up to the table trying not to cry, he just looked at me and said, “You still promise me don’t you?” I nodded and he said, “I want to speak to you in private go sit over there” He was pointing to this chair so I sat there trying to get over that fact that he recognized me. Then Moshe came over and he didn’t believe me when I told him what Justin said, so then I got asked to leave. I just did what he said, the last thing I wanted to do was make a scene and ruin other people’s chance to meet Justin. The next day I knew Justin was recording “Jonathan Ross Show” so we went to the studios and he came out! We had bought him some really British stuff. I was trying to give him the gifts and he took the crisps and said thank you but then he started to do the Macarena at the window. He came out once again and held his pinky out. I said promise. He then took with some more fans. He went inside to record, I had figured he wouldn’t come out again so we went round the front and at about 9pm his car came, per usual it was chaos. I was running along with his car till we got to Waterloo and that’s a good 10-15min walk from the studios! I was so emotional and tired, I just went straight home but I just wanted to say thank you Justin.  -@ Londonbeliebah More here: I met Justin when he was in London, outside of his hotel on the…

Lucy Mecklenburgh Knows How To Dress To Impress

Now here’s a girl who gets it. If you’re going to be invited to something called the UK Lingerie Awards, it only makes sense to show up in a dress that looks like lingerie. I don’t know much about this Lucy Mecklenburgh , apparently she’s some British TV star, but finally, some common sense around here! Of course, I wasn’t invited to London to congratulate Lucy in person. They never invite me to these things. And I had just gotten my pair of tuxedo boxers cleaned too. » view all 19 photos Related Articles: Lucy Mecklenburgh Hot Tub Bikini Pictures Lucy Pinder Supplies Her Big Breasts To Celebrity Big Brother Lucy Pinder’s Breasts Go A Long Long Way Lucy Pinder Nude In Nuts Photos: WENN.com
