Two NYPD Cops Murdered Execution Style In Brooklyn A Maryland man with ties to Atlanta and New York went on a shooting rampage on December 20 — first shooting his girlfriend in Baltimore, then traveling to Brooklyn to kill two police officers, citing recent incidents of police violence as reason for his actions. Via NYpost : Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner — in what investigators believe was a crazed gunman’s assassination-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown. “No warning, no provocation — they were quite simply assassinated, targeted for their uniform,” Police Commissioner William Bratton said. Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill in Bedford-Stuyvesant just before 3 p.m. when they were shot point-blank in the head by lone gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, who had addresses in Georgia, Maryland and Brooklyn. Moments after killing the two officers, Brinsley, too, was dead, having turned his gun on himself on a nearby subway platform as cops closed in. Liu, 32, a newlywed of only two months, had seven years on the force; Ramos, 40, dad to two sons, had two years on the job. Brinsley was already a fugitive, suspected of putting a bullet in his ex-girlfriend’s abdomen at her residence in Baltimore at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Bratton said. By early Saturday afternoon — just three hours before shooting Liu and Ramos — vile anti-police threats were posted to Brinsley’s Instagram page. Bobby Shmurda Indicted As Suspected Narcotics Gang Leader Bobby Shmurda was taken into police custody yesterday on then-unspecified drug charges, spawning hilarious memes at his expens e. But now that the NYPD has released the details on his indictment, the matter may have just gotten very serious. Unfortunately, the Brooklyn rapper has spelled out some of the exact charges the NYPD is bringing against him — though he is still pleading not guilty. Via TMZ : Rapper Bobby Shmurda was a “driving force” in a gang that committed murders and other violent crimes … this according to NY prosecutors. Prosecutors from the NYC Special Narcotics Office just released their indictment, claiming more than 15 defendants committed a variety of crimes, including murder, attempted murder, assault and drug dealing. Bobby himself was charged with conspiracy to commit murder but not the murder itself and a few other weapon and drug charges. Bobby — who at one time called himself “Two Socks Bobby” — is charged with firing a gun at a group of people outside a barber shop. Prosecutors say “socks” is code for firearms. According to the indictment, members of the gang used other code words, including “suntan,” which means shooting someone. The complaint says Bobby confessed to a fellow gang member, “You know I suntan him and shot, do issues, you know what’s going on.” Prosecutors also say the ring dealt heavily in narcotics, with a pattern of violence that spread from Brooklyn to South Beach, Florida. The D.A. says the violence was so prevalent, it turned Brooklyn into a shooting gallery. Bobby pled not guilty to all charges Thursday in NYC. He’s being held on $2 million bail. Wow. Family Of Unarmed Police Shooting Victim Tell Al Sharpton To Stay Away From His Services The family of a Brooklyn man — shot by a rookie NYPD officer because “it was dark” — want Al Sharpton and what they percieve as his selfish agenda to stay far away from the young man’s funeral. They say they want to keep their relative’s services private and respectful, rather than a “media circus” for Al and his causes. Via NYpost : The family of police-shooting victim Akai Gurley had a message on Friday for the Rev. Al Sharpton: Keep your “circus” away from his funeral! The blowhard opportunist muscled his way into the arrangements — and even put out press releases promising to deliver the eulogy — without ever consulting the family or offering to foot the bill. But Gurley’s relatives told Sharpton to stay away rather than turn the somber ceremonies into a spectacle. “It’s been a nightmare,” Gurley’s aunt, Hertencia Petersen, told The Post. “He just wants to take credit for this when he’s never even contacted my sister [Gurley’s mother]. “Who made you the spokesperson of our family? We just want to bury our nephew with dignity and respect.” Petersen was stunned that Sharpton and his National Action Network billed him as the eulogist for a Friday funeral, when they were planning on a Saturday service and wanted a speaker who actually knew Gurley. “How can you do a eulogy for someone you don’t even know? It’s heartbreaking,” she said. By late Friday, Sharpton accepted a rare defeat and backed off, though he blamed it on “confusion and division” within the Gurley family. He said he would not attend Saturday’s 11 a.m. service at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Brooklyn — and even backed off the Friday wake. Gurley, 28, was shot and killed on Nov. 20 at Brooklyn’s Louis Pink Houses by rookie cop Peter Liang, who fired blindly into the darkness of an unlit stairwell. Hmm…what do you think?

Elsewhere, Amy had to be convinced to run for union rep (by Diaz and then by Holt), but she eventually delivered a winning speech and we’ve got a feeling that Scully’s 12-year reign is about to come to an end.
