Tori Spelling unloads on former friend Katie Holmes in her new memoir Spelling It Like It Is . It’s not really clear why she chose to detail all this, but she has. “Dawson’s Creek Katie was exactly what you’d expect,” Spelling wrote of meeting Holmes. “She was wearing jeans and a tank top. Her hair was down.” “She was shy but engaging, and altogether pretty adorable.” But a few years later, the Beverly Hills 90210 actress said she got the cold shoulder when they ran into each other at vocal coach Eric Vetro’s studio. “As I sat waiting outside, I heard his prior appointment working with him in the other room. It was some actress singing horribly off-key,” Spelling explained. “That made me feel better. I heard him say goodbye and then the actress walked out of the room,” she recalls, and it was none other than Katie Holmes.” “I didn’t know whether we should hug or shake hands … but the signal from her was immediately clear: Don’t even come close,” Spelling continued. “I instantly got nervous. We clearly weren’t going to catch up on the last 10 years. We certainly weren’t going to talk about her husband, Tom Cruise.” Spelling tried to use “the mommy card,” mentioning that she had kids around Suri Cruise’s age. Katie didn’t seem to know this. Spelling was annoyed. “Come on. OK, I know you’re busy. But don’t tell me you don’t follow the tabloids. Don’t tell me you don’t know anything about other celebrities’ kids,” Tori wrote. “And then we stood there. She was just plastic. In a perfectly polite way. My pits were drenched. I never sweat … it was that awkward .” “I thought, I know you’re not a robot because you can’t sing for s–t.” Soon, though, the anxiety gave way to feeling pity for her peer. “As my anxiety faded, I just felt sorry for her,” Spelling said. “I hadn’t expected her to reminisce, but this was a totally different person from the girl I’d met at Trader Vic’s.” “I felt sad for her. Those paparazzi photos, the ones where she looks like she’s miserable but putting on a happy face? That’s what she looked like in person.” Shortly afterward, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorced . Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson singing karaoke together in a classic video from 2008 has surfaced, and to fans of either star it’s nothing short of awesome. The only bad thing is that it’s only a minute and a half long. Check it out: Robert Pattinson, Katy Perry Sing Karaoke The friends shared the stage for a duet on Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” while celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday at Dimples, a Burbank karaoke bar. They start off in separate chairs, but at one point Katy Perry decides that her chair is “too high to make love” and climbs onto the Twilight star’s lap. Which is great for comedic effect, and because of the occasional Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson rumors that surface in the celebrity gossip world. Other highlights of this vintage viral video classic: Katy in her hipster-style checked winter hat! Rob really going for some of the big notes! The fact that neither of them sound like professional singers at all, which is the whole point of karaoke, but in this case one of them actually is.

He may have been absent from the engagement celebration, but Bruce Jenner will play a key role in the upcoming Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding. By walking the bride down the aisle! As previously noted, the estranged husband of Kris Jenner was not invited to Kanye and Kim’s night on Monday, allegedly because he barely knows the rapper and West simply never asked Bruce to attend. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the Red Carpet But insiders confirm to TMZ that Kardashian still views Bruce as her father and – as he did when she exchanged vows with Kris Humphries – plans to have Jenner walk her down the aisle on the third Big Day. Sources say Kim and Kanye are planning a “huge” wedding and that the affair will happen relatively soon. It’s unclear when, however, as West is on tour for about two more months. The couple also has a prenup to sign and we presume E! has a lot to work out in order to capture it all on film. A former Walmart worker says the retail giant fired him for trying to help a woman from being attacked in the parking lot of a southeastern Michigan store. Kristopher Oswald, 30, tells WXYZ-TV that the Hartland Township store managers gave him papers saying they were dismissing him for “policy violations.” Fired Walmart Worker Oswald says he was on break at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. He saw a man grabbing a woman and asked her if she needed help. The man began attacking him. According to Oswald, he was able to get on top of the man, but two other men started attacking him. County sheriff’s deputies arrived to halt the fight. A spokeswoman for Bentonville, Ark. corporation said that while the management team understood Oswald’s intentions, his actions violated company policy. Walmart’s reasoning on the papers states that “after a violation of company policy on his lunch break, it was determined to end his temporary assignment.” Oswald only began working for Walmart seven weeks ago and wouldn’t have been considered a permanent hire until a 180-day probation period ended. Oswald acknowledges that Walmart has policies against workplace violence to prevent employees from assaulting co-workers or tackling a shoplifter. Yet he believes that given the circumstances – imminent danger and self-defense – he had no choice, and added, “I will always do the right thing.” When asked if he would take his job at Walmart back if it were offered to him, Oswald sighed, hesitated and then said that he wasn’t sure about that. UPDATE : After the story went viral, Walmart offered him his job back . A spokesperson said after reviewing the facts, Oswald’s actions do not warrant termination. No word if he intends to return to work.

Houghton tells Radar Online that Kris has a “hole in her” soul and has “admitted to cheating” on her husband of 22 years. She refers to Bruce as “the nicest guy” and says he may find someone else if the couple ever files for divorce. But Kris? “I guarantee you, Kris will find someone in two days. I promise!” she tells the site. Houghton doesn’t go into any real detail regarding her sibling’s lover, but says Kris once met up with him on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians . Hmmm…. And although Karen is slamming her sister here as a cheater, she actually expresses some sympathy for Kris in the Radar interview. She states that Lamar Odom‘s alleged drug use “devastated” Jenner and has taken a toll on the entire family. “The stress was beyond what any mother could take,” she says. And then, you know, Kanye had moved in with Kim, so the house was kind of crazy, and I think there was to ouch on her plate. And then Bruce moved out … I don’t think Kris knew how to handle it.
