BREAKING: Gunman Reported With Hostages at Discovery HQ

Sketchy and altogether bad news coming out of Silver Spring, Md., this afternoon, where the AP reports a gunman who may or may not have possession of a bomb is holding at least one hostage in a siege at Discovery Networks. What was originally reported as a possible bomb scenario (to which three technicians responded) has since escalated into a situation with police on hand and unable to reach the alleged gunman — who is described as having “concerns” with Discovery Channel. Not much more for now…. Developing… [AP via NYT ]

Bruce Willis wife Emma Heming

Bruce Willis and his smoking-hot wife Emma Heming leave Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood. By all accounts, Bruce Willis is a pretty reasonable and down-to-earth guy. Just don#39;t fu-ck up his dinner. From Mike Walker at the National Enquirer: Eyewitnesses were shocked when Bruce Willis, dining with wife Emma Heming at the legendary BevHills Hotel Polo Lounge, made a waitress break down in tears after angrily rejecting his meal not once, not twice – but three times! “When Bruce got the lunch

More Kardashians Kome to Defense of Kendall Jenner

Following a firestorm created by her bikini-based pictorial last month, Kendall Jenner released a well-reasoned, mature statement that quieted most critics. Father Bruce Jenner then came out and defended his 14-year old daughter. Not much has been mentioned about the photos since, but you wouldn’t expect the Kardashians to not milk a publicity opportunity for every second and ounce of sympathy they can, would you? With that in mind, Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner have now spoken out about the pics. “She looks better than most 20-year-olds in their bikinis,” Khloe told Us Weekly , making an irrelevant point and then adding: “In the modeling world, being 14 is actually middle age. Kimora Lee Simmons was walking for Chanel in Paris at age 12; no one commented when she did that. So if you want to speak in modeling perspective, you have to live in a modeling world. Not that many people are putting it in that perspective. They’re just thinking, ‘Oh, Kendall Jenner. Let’s talk some crap.'” Now, for Kris Jenner’s take: “One of her lifelong passions is to be a model, and it’s something she’s really excited about. [ The bikini photos ] are tasteful, she’s covered up completely and they’re not provocative. They’re just gorgeous shots.” Look, Kardashians, no one is accusing Kendall of being ugly. Her looks aren’t exactly the point. No one is accusing Montana Fishburne of being ugly, either, and she claims porn has been her lifelong passion . Sometimes, though, parents must step in when their children aren’t old enough to make adult decisions. That’s all anyone is saying here.

Justin Long ‘Would Love To’ Star In ‘Die Hard 5’

‘I don’t know if I’m going to get my hands on it,’ he laughs about the Bruce Willis franchise. By Kara Warner Justin Long Photo: MTV News In addition to having some wacky moments, Bruce Willis dropped some exciting tidbits on MTV News at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, revealing, for one, that “Die Hard 5” is “imminent.” When we caught up with his “Die Hard With a Vengeance” co-star Justin Long, we asked him how he might be involved in the imminent, as Willis described it, fifth installment of the misadventures of John McClane. Apparently, Long needed a quick vocabulary lesson before responding. “Nice try, Bruce, for making up a word. I think he meant emasculate,” Long joked while promoting his September 3 flick “Going the Distance.” “No, I heard it was imminent and as soon as I looked up the word, I got excited.” But Long said his excitement was unfortunately short-lived, his mood tempered somewhat by what he said was an awkward exchange with a film studio executive. “I had a meeting recently at Fox about doing a romantic [comedy],” Long explained. “And the guy in the office next door, he was in charge of the new ‘Die Hard,’ [so] I said, ‘Do you mind if I pop my head in?’ So I met him and I was like, ‘Ummm?’ ” the actor recalled, gesturing with his hands in a motion that suggested “what about me?” “He was equally vague in his gesture back to me,” Long said. “So I didn’t get a good feeling that I was going to be a part of the imminent ‘Die Hard.’ I don’t know if I’m going to get my hands on it.” He added, “I would love to.” With or without Long, it seems a decision about whether the film will actually happen is still up for debate. What do you think about Long’s character coming back for a fifth “Die Hard” movie? Tell us in the comments! The Bruce Beresford-Redman Defense: TV Producer is a Scapegoat

It’s all a set up. That’s the argument lawyers for Bruce Beresford-Redman plan to use if their client is ever extradited to Mexico on first-degree murder charges. The former Survivor producer is the prime suspect in the April death of wife Monica, who was found in a sewer near the Cancun hotel where she and Bruce were vacationing, strangled to death. Since then, Beresford-Redman has proclaimed his innocence , while the victim’s sisters have made no secret over their beliefs that Bruce is responsible for Monica’s death. Now, following an unusual hiccup in the case that proves Mexican authorities confiscated Bruce’s cell phone last month and made thousands of dollars worth of calls on it, a source tells TMZ exactly what the suspect’s defense will be: Beresford-Redman’s attorney will claim police are in need of a scapegoat because there were two deaths aside from Monica’s at the Cancun hotel in question, along with an alleged rape by an employee. With tourism in danger, the lawyer will state, Bruce has been made the fall guy. Meanwhile, a private funeral service is scheduled for Monica tomorrow. Bruce is not invited.
