Action sports brand Volcom that I remember from the late 90s and early 2000s running the punk rock skateboard/surf scene…only available at Skate shops before selling out and being available at Marshalls and a bunch of other mall shops…is apparently still around and making big moves as they do a girls bikini line for the brand that looks very SEARS or corporate or everything you wouldn’t want in a skateboard or surf brand…but I guess I’m from the era where Skateboarding wasn’t mainstream, pre Tony Hawk, and kids who skateboarded would actually get beat up and made fun of because it wasn’t a “cool thing”….so seeing any action sport or “core” brand turn into vapid, fluffy, pop bullshit reminds me of how the internet has destroyed niche interests…there was once a punk scene, a rave scene, a hip hop scene, a skate scene… Now it’s just one snowball pile of dog shit where everything is just fluff that falls into one category of viral clickbait meme…in one way, it’s cool that more people are aware of things…in another way all these people are annoying selfie taking cunts who you want nothing to do with….and that is why they use Mick Jagger’s hot daughter in their REALLY shitty corporate ads instead of actual surfer sluts..because surfer sluts, not even just regular California girls we’d like to see – aren’t billionaire heiresses to the Rolling Stones…who get paid 10,000 dollars a day through their agencies…and the real tragedy in all this is that there are no close up pussy shots – or her crawling around on all fours like I’d like…because Volcom is about as edgy as the fluffy bullshit they’ve become… The post Georgia May Jagger in Volcom Ads of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
