The Epitome Of A Bad Mother

Why the hell are people bringing their babies to the crime scenes these days???? A 14-month-old girl was thrown from a speeding getaway car late Thursday night after the suspects were caught shoplifting at KMart, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Just after 9:00 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the KMart at 7325 Two Notch Road for a shoplifting call. “We know that three people went into the KMart with a child in the vehicle. We know that as they arrived at the KMart that they were there to shoplift,” said Captain Chris Cowan. When deputies arrived, KMart security had 21-year-old Courtney NaShawn Palmer in custody. Security officers told deputies that Palmer and another woman got into a scuffle with officers after being confronted and accused of stealing from the store. Deputies say a third woman, 22-year-old Kimberly Moody, was parked in the lot waiting in the getaway car when she noticed what was going on in the store, according to the sheriff’s department. After seeing what was happening, Moody decided to leave the premises in a hurry, according to deputies. ” She hit the accelerate,” said Captain Cowan. “She accelerated to a high rate of speed, sending a 1-year-old out of the back of the vehicle into the parking lot, causing serious injury.” The child was not restrained and the door was not secure, according to investigators. “Once she realizes the child’s been thrown out of the vehicle, she stops,” said Captain Cowan. “She and the other individual come running out of the KMart, picked the child up, put the child in the car, and then take the child to the hospital.” Deputy Curtis Wilson says the child has broken ribs, a collapsed lung and multiple abrasions and is currently in ICU at the hospital. Moody was charged Friday with unlawful conduct towards a child. Her bond hearing was held Friday night. Officers said she has since posted bail. Palmer was arrested Thursday night and charged with shoplifting. Palmer was arrested Thursday night and charged with shoplifting. Investigators say she tried to steal two bottles of body spray, a bottle of body wash, a stick of deodorant, a pair of earrings, and a pack of tissue totaling $29.61. A judge granted Palmer a $2,130 personal recognizance bond Friday morning. She also posted bail. A third arrest came Friday night, according to deputies. 20-year-old Courtney Nicole-Francetta Mace was charged with two counts of assault and battery as well as one count of unlawful conduct toward a child. Deputies said Mace is the mother of the child that was thrown from the vehicle Thursday. The mother of the injured baby, according to the deputies, was involved in the scuffle with the security officer. “We’ll continue to investigate,” said Captain Cowan. “We need to process witness statements. We need to continue to interview people, process surveillance footage, and once we do that, then we’ll make a determination whether somebody else will be charged and what those charges will be.” Truly sad…all this because they were trying to gank KMart for some deodorant and body spray. SMH. We hope that baby has a speedy recovery. Source

‘Captain America’ Trailer: Five Cool Moments

Take a closer look at the super-soldier as we break down the upcoming action movie’s first full trailer. By Eric Ditzian Chris Evans and cast in the “Captain America: The First Avenger” trailer Photo: Marvel Before becoming the engineered superhero called Captain America, Steve Rogers attempts to join the Army five times in five cities, only to be rejected for being a pipsqueak with a ton of heart but not nearly big enough biceps. In a similar series of false starts, we’ve been treated to a slew of teasers for “Captain America: The First Avenger,” from a 30-second Super Bowl spot to a bunch of seconds-long video snippets parceled out over the last few days. Now, finally, we’re getting a shot of cinematic super-serum with the Marvel adaptation’s first full trailer . Here are our picks for the five coolest moments: The Shield … Kinda Here we see Rogers (Chris Evans) in pre-conversion twerp mode. Chased into an alley, he attempts to defend himself with a trashcan lid — a none-too-subtle nod to the red-white-and-blue shield he’ll soon wield as the Captain. Sure, he’s a scrawny fellow, but he’s brave. And as Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci) will tell Steve before transforming him into a superhero, “A weak man knows the value of strength, knows the value of power.” In terms of historical context, this shot also gives us a glimpse of around when the story begins. A poster in the alley shows the date: May 29, 1943. Meet Your Super-Serum So it’s that goopy blue stuff that transforms Rogers into a super-solider. We see Erskine in the laboratory, as well as Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), who just so happens to be the father of a certain iron-suited hero played in other Marvel movies by Robert Downey Jr. The serum doesn’t look that pleasant going in, but what a difference it makes: Rogers goes from zero to world-saving hero. Captain Action Listen, it’s hard out there for a super-solider. Even when an Army colonel (Tommy Lee Jones) is driving at top speed in a convertible and the Captain looks like he’s about to jump out and whup some Nazi butt, he pauses for a little smooch from Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Pimp! Army of the Damned Check them out in all their blue-glowing glory: the HYDRA army controlled by Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), Hitler’s head honcho of weaponry and general evilness. It’s these soldiers who will face off against the Captain and his crew with the fate of the world in the balance. The Boys We’d sleep easier knowing this collection of dudes — Captain America and the much-hyped Howling Commandos — is protecting the nation. In addition to the Captain, you’ve got sidekick Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Union Jack (JJ Field) and Dum Dum Dungan (Neal McDonough). That’s a hero shot if we’ve ever seen one. “It’s an amazing costume,” Evans told us last year of his look. “Given the fact that his costume is red, white and blue, and it’s tight, and it could be kind of flash and over the top — and given the fact that the movie takes place in the ’40s and ’50s — they’ve done a really good job of making it look really cool.” What were your favorite moments? CyHi Da Prynce On Kanye West: ‘He Pushes Me’

G.O.O.D. Music MC tells Mixtape Daily, ‘He’ll tell me when my verse is not as hot.’ By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Matt Harper CyHi Da Prince Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: CyHi Da Prynce CyHi Da Prynce likens the G.O.O.D. Music collective to superheroes, but you might be surprised to learn who he compares his crew to. “[Kanye] is Captain Planet and all our powers combined,” the upstart MC told Mixtape Daily, referencing the animated Planeteers. “I’m heart, Big Sean is water, Pusha T is fire and Teyana Taylor is Wind. So if you put it all together, it’s Captain Planet. He’s Captain Planet.” And maybe Mr. Hudson is Earth, but even without the final element, it’s hard not to give ‘Ye a nod for pushing his team to the forefront. The My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy star recently held court down in Texas, where he headlined a ballyhooed G.O.O.D. Music set at the South by Southwest music festival. Push, Cy and Jay-Z joined Mr. West for a formidable lineup. According to Da Prynce, it’s just another example of Yeezy’s hospitality, though, to hear the Georgia rapper tell it, it’s really his mentor’s honesty that sets him apart, for better or worse. “I wish you guys could really be around him,” CyHi said. “The misconception … it’s like this, you know how you say something about somebody behind their back, and then when you see them you have to be politically correct and you don’t say what you want to say to them? I don’t feel like that’s right. Some people have to be honest with each other, ’cause sometimes you can’t let a situation escalate to a point where it’s out of control. “Honesty is the biggest thing to me and that’s what I love about [Kanye],” he continued. “He’ll tell me when my verse is not as hot. Most of your friends will tell you you’re dope because you’re already naturally dope. But he pushes me and challenges me to be better. And he does that in music, art, fashion and so many other things to the point where I take it as constructive criticism. Especially to someone that sold all these records, he didn’t sell them for nothing. Don’t shoot the messenger all the time, just get the message.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Videos Mixtape Daily: Cy Hi Da Prince, Pusha T
