Source: Tetra Images / Getty Officials Investigate Possible Manslaughter An infant’s life tragically ended after his parents tried to perform a procedure that’s probably best left to professionals. According to ABC 7 , a 5-month-old Italian baby died when his parents tried to circumcise him at their home. The child entered cardiac arrest and was brought to the hospital by helicopter for care. But unfortunately, on Friday night it passed away. The prosecutor’s office in the northern province of Reggio Emilia has opened an investigation that could possibly lead to manslaughter charges. The infant is set to undergo an autopsy. This is not the first baby in Italy that tragically died after their parents tried to play doctor. In Rome, a two-year-old died from severe blood loss after their parents tried to circumcise them back in December. In this case, the kid’s twin brother also nearly died, but they survived following intensive care treatment. Italy’s Roman Catholic majority usually refrains from circumcisions, however, many Muslim immigrants practice the act for cultural and religious reasons. They face complications when trying to access the treatment in hospitals. For some, the hospital costs are too steep, and in some Italian hospitals, the doctors refuse to perform circumcisions until the boys have reached age four or older. Foad Aodi, the founder of the association of foreign doctors in Italy (AMSI), has appealed to health officials to allow circumcisions at an affordable prices. He also advocates lowering the age of access to help prevent clandestine attempts at circumcision.

According to TMZ , the “Money” rapper is suing Latasha K and Starmarie Ebony Jones , who’ve reportedly claimed Cardi was a prostitute, did drugs while pregnant , and has STDs. “Cardi filed the lawsuit against Latasha K — who has a blog called unWinewithTashaK. She’s pissed about 23 videos Tasha’s posted over the last 14 months. According to the suit, Tasha posted a vid last April saying Cardi’s baby might be born with intellectual disabilities. The inference seems to be Cardi was doing drugs that would harm then-unborn Kulture,” TMZ states. “She’s also suing Starmarie Ebony Jones, who, according to the suit, posted a video in September accusing Cardi of doing Molly and cocaine … engaging in prostitution. Jones allegedly says of Cardi, ‘Just a Grammy nominated prostitute running around spreading her herpes.’ Latasha and Starmarie even posted a video together making more allegations of STDs and hooking.” TMZ goes on to say. Cardi reportedly gave the bloggers an opportunity to retract their statements , but the women allegedly refused. “She’s suing them for defamation, and seeking an injunction to delete the videos they posted,” TMZ states, as Cardi says she’s never been a prostitute, never used cocaine or molly, and does not have herpes. 90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson is continuing her battle with lupus . But fortunately, she says her husband Jay Smith is really “stepping up” to the plate amidst her fight. Ashley recently opened up to InTouch Weekly following her latest health scare, which led her to be hospitalized again for the second time within a month. The 32-year-old raved about her husband’s gentle qualities saying “he has been a saint” and has remained right by her side. “Jay completely stepped up since surgery,” Marston told the news source. “[He’s been] taking the kids to school, cooking, cleaning. He makes sure I’m comfortable and is always eager to get whatever I need.” Ashley, who found love with Jay on season 6 of the TLC reality series, was hospitalized on January 13 after being discovered unresponsive in her home due to complications related to her lupus diagnosis. She later announced to her fans via social media that she would need to undergo kidney surgery due to acute kidney failure. “I was found unresponsive this morning at my home,” she shared at the time. “The ambulance took me to the hospital where it was found that I am in acute kidney failure due to lupus. I will begin dialysis shortly. “I will not let this beat me. I know I’m strong enough to battle through this, not just for myself but for my kids,” she continued. “I will be transferred to another hospital this evening that is better equipped. Please pray for myself and my family as I know it’s going to be a very tough road ahead for all of us. Thank you for your continuous support and prayers.” On February 14, just one month later, Martson was once again rushed to the hospital. This time it was for an unknown reason, although it was assumed to have been related to her ongoing lupus battle. Just as her sympathetic husband had done before, he waited at his wife’s bedside throughout her second long stay at the hospital. “He has been a saint when it comes to my health,” she informed her fans. “It isn’t easy for him to see me in pain but he just talks me through it and stays strong for the both of us.” “I think he is definitely ready for the two months to be up as intimacy is important in a marriage,” she concluded in regards to the long period of time she has to take before she can partake in strenuous activities. Aka sex. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack the body and can lead to organ failure, which is Ashley’s unfortunate situation. The reality TV couple appeared on 90 Day Fiance which shared Smith’s visa process that allowed him to legally enter the United States. And although they found true love and eventually tied the knot, the two have been the target of controversy and divorce rumors . However, seeing Jay’s charming ability to care for Ashley and the trust she has for him at this hard time proves that their relationship is the real deal. And even though they initially announced that they were done with the 90 Day Fiance franchise forever , they later revealed that they agreed to appear on the spinoff 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After ? Email Submit Teachers that want to carry arms will have to undergo drug testing as well as psychological testing. They will also have to have 144 hours of firearms training and have a valid concealed weapon permit. The House Education Committee, which is led by Republicans, passed this school safety bill with a 11-5 vote. The bill is tied to the “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act” which says “each sheriff may establish a Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program and appoint certain volunteer school employees as school guardians.” As of January 2019, there are 726 armed volunteer guardians in 25 Florida counties. The act was passed last year after a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the Parkland city of Florida left 17 people dead. “The more people that are there to defend students, to defend other teachers, the better,” Republican Rep. Jennifer Sullivan of Eustis said. “If a teacher does not want to go through the program, I don’t want them to go through the program.” The passing of this bill is opposed by teachers unions as well as Democratic representatives who don’t believe teachers should double as law enforcement. “Teachers want to teach children and broaden children’s minds,” Democratic Rep. Susan Valdes of Tampa told the Sun Sentinel. “If they wanted to be a cop, they would have gone to police academy and become a cop.” Republicans feel that with a bill like this in place, it will help prevent mass shootings at schools from happening. “If this bill was in place before Parkland, how many less lives would have been lost?” Republican Amber Mariano said in defense of the new legislation. That means that all of the recalled products should have a “best if used by” date of Nov. 30, 2019, along with the establishment number “P-7221” printed on the back. This most recent situation definitely isn’t the first time a product of theirs has caused some trouble for the company. Tyson asked customers to return 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets back in January because they may have been contaminated with rubber. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service gave this recall a “Class I” label, which means a high health risk and a “situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.” Yikes. The agency says if you have any potentially contaminated strips in your fridge or freezer at the moment, you should return them to the store you got them from or just throw them out. The release also points out that “there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
