Source: Juan Silva / Getty A Colleague Said Improper Medical Procedures Tipped Her Off If you were trying to get nipped, tucked, sliced and made anew, Dr. Matthew Mode was promoting his services in a wealthy part of the Romanian capital Bucharest. Mode even created a social media profile flashing his Patrick Dempsey-esque good looks, and he posted videos of his cosmetic surgery operations. Only problem is, Mode allegedly wasn’t a real surgeon. His name wasn’t even Matthew Mode. According to Metro , Mode previously went by Matteo Politi and he was allegedly carrying out plastic surgery on people and giving lectures to trainees with no medical background whatsoever. Authorities caught wind of Politi and he was arrested while trying to flee Romania. Colleague Adina Alberts expressed concerns about Politi’s credentials when he appeared to not follow proper procedures for washing his hands prior to surgery and he didn’t seem to hold a syringe right. Alberts went on to say one of Politi’s patients suffered “complications” after her breast surgery. Romanian health authorities said Politi was issued a doctor’s permit last year in March, but this was after he submitted a forged diploma claiming that he qualified as a doctor in Kosovo. Politi also submitted a fake CV saying he studied at the prestigious John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. However, they confirmed with the New York Times that they had no record of a student named Matteo Politi or Matthew Mode. Mr. Politi also lied about having previously practiced as a plastic surgeon in the UK, Italy and Spain despite never finishing secondary school. There’s even questions as to whether Matteo Politi is, in fact, his real name. According to the Times , in 2011, a court in Italy discovered that he practiced medicine illegally under that name, and he received a suspended prison sentence. Politi’s lawyer in that case, Silvia Sanna, said he didn’t take the exam to become a licensed practitioner in Italy and he didn’t have a medical degree from an Italian university. Politi is now under investigation for fraud and he’s expected to be held in Bucharest this week.

Live the life you’ve imagined!” Dreams that are tied to a confident, better you, tied to career goals and an impact in society, are of the few remnants of our innocent and wondrous childhood fantasies. However, in reality, many of us see career goals bringing personal happiness as fictional as wishing on stars. Discrimination, HIV stigma and social statuses seem to plant us in mud, with a generous percentage of people just achieving enough to manage the next breath. There are times that hope shines through the dense polluted clouds of realism, and we find ourselves thinking that by chance a rare opportunity is afforded to our lives. An unforeseen position, promotion or opportunity teases us with the goals of fantasy coming into the waking light and telling our stories in all facets of public health. If only for a moment, the thought of living our ‘lottery of life’ enters the mind and holds root within the desert of desperation. The dream continues to be just that: an occurrence within our minds that never quite translates into our reality. Hope can be manufactured into dreams coming true, outside the realm of “princesses castles’ and ‘heroes destined to change the world.” My own foray into the world of HIV advocacy and activism for an underserved and vulnerable population has so far seen many of my dreams come true, while at the same time having no visibly viable resources to speak of to many in my community. I now find myself to be the Deputy Executive Director of the Transgender Strategy Center , devoted to the needs of my community, in an area where, historically, there has never existed anything like what we created. It had only previously existed in my dreams. Here are the main ten steps that could assist you with achieving the same for yourself. Simplify your life. Don’t hesitate for opportunities within your ability. Join HIV committees/boards. Volunteer. Network socially. Network online. Network. Make relationships with organizations with a similar mission. Form a coalition. Find volunteers/pro-bono contractors. Search for sponsors to conferences and trainings. Realize realistic time factors. Whatever you do, just don’t give up. Sam Lloyd, a veteran actor best known for playing the character of Ted throughout the entire run of Scrubs, has received devastating news. He’s been diagnosed with a severe type of cancer. Lloyd most recently appeared on an episode of Happy Together. His small screen resume also includes stints on Shameless, Cougar Town, The Middle and Desperate Housewives. According to a newly-created GoFundMe campaign page, doctors diagnosed the 55-year old with inoperable cancer in January after discovering a brain tumor that had metastasized from his lungs. The news came mere weeks after Lloyd and his wife, Vanessa, welcomed their first child. Lloyd reportedly went to see a physician just under a month ago after having experienced weight loss and headaches. Upon their examination, doctors discovered the tumor, which has spread to Lloyd’s liver, spine and jaw. The aforementioned GoFundMe campaign was launched by Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife. Other members of the Scrubs cast and crew – including creator Bill Lawrence and stars Zach Braff and Kate Micucci – have used social media to promote the traguc cause, to their support for Lloyd and to encourage others to donate. “This is Sam. He was Ted on SCRUBS. He’s a pal. Just had his first baby. Get involved if you can. I am,” wrote Lawrence as a caption to his Tweet, which included a link to the GoFundMe page. You can donate HERE if you wish. By all accounts, 2019 was off to a roaring start for our dear friend, Sam Lloyd,” reads the opening of the message on this GoFundMe account. It continues: “He and his wife, Vanessa, had recently welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby boy named Weston to the world. “The musical that Sam had been working on for over a decade had just been accepted into a prestigious theatre accelerator program. There was so much to be grateful for…” The page then shared the following precious photo of Lloyd, his wife and his son — prior to going into detail about the awful development. This is how the page concludes: In the face of this devastating news, Sam and Vanessa have been incredibly strong and positive. Humor and laughter, which have been a huge part of Sam’s life, will undoubtedly help him with what lies ahead. Just hours after being diagnosed, Sam was cheering on his beloved New England Patriots in his hospital room. When the nurse asked him to “cheer quieter,” Sam politely nodded. When the nurse left the room, Sam turned to Vanessa and his friends and said, “What are they gonna do? Kill me?” Sam is, simply put, a sweet, kind, and generous soul. Through his music and acting, and most of all his friendship, he has blessed all of our lives immeasurably. Throughout his wonderful life, including his more than 30 years in Los Angeles, Sam has perfected the fine art of friendship. So many of those friends have reached out, wanting to know how they can help support him and his family during this difficult time. As Sam and Vanessa face the challenges ahead, they will both have to put working on hold. There will be a range of medical, childcare, and other expenses. Raphael Samuel of Mumbai, India is suing his parents for giving birth to him because they didn’t ask for his consent. The 27-year-old (yes, 27) is an ‘anti-natalist,’ who believes parents don’t have the right to give birth to a child who has not agreed to being born. Samuel apparently has a great relationship with his parents telling The Print , “I love my parents, and we have a great relationship, but they had me for their joy and their pleasure.” He continues saying, “My life has been amazing, but I don’t see why I should put another life through the rigmarole of school and finding a career, especially when they didn’t ask to exist.” Samuel is urging people to ask their parents for an explanation as to why they chose to have children. He believes parents owe children for bringing them joy. What are your thoughts? Should Raphael be able to sue his parents?

The 20-year-old hasn’t STOPPED posting about it online. Reginae’s entire twitter timelines is filled with subtweets to Lucci and dramatic retweets about someone crossing her. She’s suggested Lucci never truly “cared” for her. Felt this one . https://t.co/KeFE0UR1pY — Love me (@reginae_carter1) February 6, 2019 Regine also posted and deleted: “Whoever played with my heart … u a dumb mf .” Then she hit the send button on this message: “I don’t think u ni**as ever grow up tbh.” Both messages disappeared within a few hours. So far, neither Regine nor Lucci has publically commented on their break up. Reginae deleted all the photos of her and Lucci off her IG page. However, Lucci still has this one photo up of them from attending a Gatsby’s themed Birthday party last month. Maybe it’s time for Reginae to put some of this energy into her acting career, or maybe even some song writing???
Source: Spencer Platt / Getty One New York Resident Gives A Chilling Account Another moment of police terror reportedly went down in New York last year, and now a resident of the city is taking action. According to New York Daily News , a Brooklyn cop, who’s been accused of years of civil rights violations and false arrests, is once again being sued for excessive conduct. Evelyn Gonzalez, 51, who works as a security guard is accusing Sgt. David (Bellethead) Grieco of carrying out an early-morning raid at her Brownsville apartment, then arresting her and a family friend Tray Stroman, 27, on trumped-up charges that were dropped before they even got a chance to appear before a judge. Gozalez has filed a notice of claim and according to their lawyer, if a settlement is not agreed upon, they will file a lawsuit in state court alleging wrongful arrest. The whole incident went down shortly after 7 a.m. on April 13, 2018 when Gonzalez was asleep in her room and Stroman, who works in a barbershop, was resting on the couch. Emergency Service cops tried to bust through the front door so one of Gonzalez’s four children, Joseph Cordova, 24, left from his bed to open it. That’s when police rushed in with Grieco and other officers having their guns drawn, according to Gonzalez and Stroman. Neither Gonzalez nor Storman have ever been arrested, however Cordova has been arrested ten times, including two cases that are still pending for possession of a knife and for possession of drugs. He was convicted in 2014 for weapons possession, for which he received five years probation. Cordova, who isn’t apart of the lawsuit, and his mother believe the raid was part of an ongoing attempt to harass Cordova, considering that past charges against him didn’t stick. The cops allegedly swept through the apartment, flipped a living room table, and broke two televisions AND a humidifier that Gonzalez needs for her asthma. The cops also allegedly rampaged through the kitchen, dumping coffee and oatmeal on the floor. “They even ate my bananas,” Gonzalez said. Stroman, who posts rap videos online, went on to say the cops plugged their phones into a speaker and listened to his music. “I’m like, ‘Is this a warrant for music?” Stroman said. “I was lost.” It’s not clear if the cops even had a warrant to search the apartment. Gonzalez said when she asked, the cop tried to use a restaurant flyer to pass as a warrant. Gonzalez and Stroman said Grieco continually asked about guns and drugs, indicating the cops were tipped off. However, no guns or narcotics were found. The police only focused on one marijuana joint in the living room and two in a bedroom. Cordova admitted that he does smoke marijuana. The nightmare continued after the raid when Gonzalez said that she, Cordova and Stroman were handcuffed and taken into custody. Gonzalez said she and Stroman spent around 18 hours in custody and she said the police didn’t even give her access to her medicine. When they finally got out, The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute them. Cordova was charged with marijuana possession and possession of a forged credit card, but the case was adjourned and dismissed soon after. Gonzalez says when she got home, $800 was missing from a jacket in her closet – money she said she was saving for her two granddaughters. On top of all this, Gonzalez’s Brownsville apartment is covered by the 73rd Precinct, but they were taken to the 67th Precinct where Grieco is assigned. No one has yet to explain why Grieco was carrying out a raid in a precinct he wasn’t even assigned to, although investigations do often cross precinct lines. Grieco, 48, has a long history of being an ain’t sh** officer, including searching two homes without a warrant and being involved in a 2013 75th Precinct investigation. The anti-crime unit at the time was accused of illegal apartment searches and the theft of jewelry and thousands of dollars, according to court papers, Internal Affair docs and police sources. Over the years, Grieco has been the defendant in 29 lawsuits. But yet… This man is still on the force. Gonzalez’s and Stroman’s lawyer Joel Berger said, “For this cowboy to still be on the force is outrageous. He should have been terminated years ago. The fact that he hasn’t been is really indicative of the travesty the NYPD discipline system is.” Grieco is currently a sergeant who was one of NYPD’s top overtime earners in 2017. His $73,000 of extra pay upped his salary to $190,000 and last year he made $164,700. Out of the 29 lawsuits against Grieco, 16 of them were settled, costing the city more than half-million dollars.
Jennifer Lawrence has struck a deal with a very special high-end art dealer: She has agreed to marry him! Indeed, according to multiple outlets, the Oscar-winning actress is now engaged to someone named Cooke Maroney. (We guess she isn’t so gross after all, huh, Lala Kent? ) The 28-year old actress was spotted out and about in New York City over the weekend wearing what Page Six described as a “massive ring” while dining at Raoul’s, an upscale French restaurant. “It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it,” a source told this section of The New York Post, adding: “The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots.” A few days prior to this outing, Lawrence and Maroney were seen in The Big Apple’s West Village, also looking like two people very much in love. News of Lawrence and Maroney’s romance went viral in June of 2018, making this a semi-fast engagement. They’ve only been dating for about six or seven months. The two were subsequently spotted together in Paris, Rome and New York on multiple occasions, with one insider saying the following to Us Weekly about the relationship: “They definitely appear to be in it for the long haul. “Cooke plays very coy when speaking about her to his friends and colleagues. He is clearly smitten about her.” The beloved Hunger Games star was previously linked to Nicholas Holt from 2011 to 2014… Chris Martin in 2015 … and director Darren Aronofsky from 2016 to 2017. This bombshell report now raises a very obvious question to readers and fans: Who the heck is Cooke Maroney? A few facts about the future Mr. Jennifer Lawrence: – As mentioned above, he works as an art dealer. Specifically, he works at the Gladstone 64 gallery in New York’s Upper East Side — and one of the gallery’s biggest clients is Lena Dunham’s artist father, Carroll Dunham. – His parents own a farm. For real! According to Cosmopolitan, Cooke’s mom and dad, James Maroney and Suki Fredericks, own Oliver Hill Farm in Vermont, where he grew up. – He isn’t the jealous type. This is just an assumption, but Lawrence brought Maroney as her date to the September premiere of The Favourite, the Oscar-nominated movie that stars her ex, Hoult. But Lawrence has said on record that she remains close to all of her exes. “I don’t think that you can have any sort of bad relationship with anybody if you’re just blunt,” she told Marc Maron on a podcast in February 2018. “Everybody always knows how you feel at all times and there’s no lying, it’s just honesty. Everybody’s a good guy to each other. … Every time I go through a breakup, it’s not like my heart isn’t broken. They just never did anything to like, devastate me.
