21 Savage Arrested by ICE, May Get Deported

21 Savage was arrested on Sunday in Atlanta by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — and he now faces the possibility of being deported as a result. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 26-year old – whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph – is accused of overstaying his welcome in America. The rapper hails from the United Kingdom, having been born born on the Caribbean island of Dominica, a former British colony. Authorities say 21 Savage entered this country legally in 2005, but that his visa expired the following year and is now deserves to be kicked out because he was convicted on felony drug charges in 2014. “In addition to being in violation of federal immigration law, Mr. Abraham-Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia,” an ICE spokesman said in a statement to a local Fox affiliate yesterday, adding: “Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. “ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions.” 21 Savage is currently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. The agency will await the outcome of his case before a judge to determine what happens next. (In sort of related news, Joe Giudice was ordered to be deported in October after a judge because the Real Housewives of New Jersey star never became a U.S. citizen and also broke federal law.) 21 Savage is known for singles such as “Bank Account” and “A Lot” featuring J. Cole. He made headlines in 2017 when it was revealed he was dating Amber Rose, although they broke up last year. Hours after the arrest, both ICE and 21 Savage’s lawyer sent statements to E! News. First, the attorney, Dina LaPolt, said the following: “We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with the authorities to clear up any misunderstandings. “Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in this country, especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community-leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.” Then, ICE confirmed that the artist was picked up as part a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta. “Mr. Abraham-Joseph was taken into ICE custody as he is unlawfully present in the U.S. and also a convicted felon,” reads this statement. It concluded by repeating some of the facts we mentioned above: Mr. Abraham-Joseph initially entered the U.S. legally in July 2005, but subsequently failed to depart under the terms of his nonimmigrant visa and he became unlawfully present in the U.S. when his visa expired in July 2006. In addition to being in violation of federal immigration law, Mr. Abraham-Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions.

Many HBCUs have been facing financial woes and the sorority leaders developed this fund as an avenue to help them stay afloat. Through the initiative, $10 million will be distributed to nearly 100 institutions over the course of four years. During the first phase, 32 HBCUs will receive $50,000 on February 28. Amongst the schools that are slated to receive the endowment gifts are Bennett College for Women, Chicago State University, West Virginia State University, Shaw University, Southern University at New Orleans, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Wilberforce University, South Carolina State University and others. “As an HBCU graduate and someone who has dedicated my life’s work to the HBCU community, I personally know that the financial challenges of many institutions have an impact on student enrollment, retention and graduation rates,” Dr. Glenda Glover , International President, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., said in a statement. “Implementing an endowment fund is a critical need and has been a priority for my administration since I took office last year. Alpha Kappa Alpha’s 111-year history is deeply interwoven into the history of HBCUs and therefore it is imperative that we continue to invest in these treasured institutions.” There has been a major effort by individuals and organizations to financially support HBCUs. In January, Black billionaire  Robert F. Smith donated $1.5 million to Morehouse College for the creation of a scholarship program and outdoor study area. Wu-Tang Ain’t Always For The Children: RZA & Ghostface Killah Are Developing A Horror Film Inspired By True Events

Source: Phillip Faraone / Getty Ghostface Killah And RZA Are Developing A Horror Movie RZA  and  Ghostface Killah  are making some major moves in order to expand their filmography. According to reports from Deadline , the hip-hop legends along with producer Shaun Redick (from films like  Get Out and BlacKkKlansman ) are teaming up to develop a film titled  Angel of Dust.  The movie is said to be a “suspense horror thriller” that RZA himself will direct. The film is reportedly inspired by true events the members of the Wu-Tang Clan experienced while growing up in the Staten Island Projects. Ghostface developed the story idea along with his manager Caruso. Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith were tapped to write the modern-day adaptation of the script. Angel of Dust  is supposedly going to center on an exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper named Casey, who is forced to grow up in the streets of Shaolin following the mysterious death of his parents. The boy ends up being confronted by gangs, crooked cops, junkies, along with “a serial killer with seemingly supernatural powers.” “It’s hard to fathom a better way to celebrate the Wu-Tang Clan’s 25th anniversary as rock and rap creative icons than producing a cutting-edge suspense thriller loosely based on true events that though terrifying helped shape one of the greatest groups of all time,” Redick said. “The writers, Leslie and Smith have taken this original idea to seismic levels.” But of course, any film wouldn’t be complete without some music–especially one being made by rap legends. The Wu-Tang Clan will provide the  Angel of Dust  soundtrack, which is going to be produced by both Ghostface and Caruso. RZA will score the movie. “The creative collaboration of RZA and Ghostface has stood the test of time through our music,” RZA explained. “Now the opportunity to put our creative energies together onto the silver screen has arisen and I’m turbo charged. Bong Bong!” Angel of Dust ‘s release date has not yet been announced.

The footage captures a woman laughing while pouring water on a 9-month-old girl asleep in her crib. The infant starts coughing until just seconds later, when another splash of water pours on the child’s nose and leads to both more coughs and some crying. “Payback for waking me up all kinda times of [the] night,” 33-year-old Caitlin Alyse Hardy wrote in a post that accompanied said video as she posted to her Facebook page. This is all according to the information the Sumter County, South Carolina, Sheriff Anthony Dennis tells PEOPLE . Several people who spotted the video once it went up alerted the sheriff’s office with their concerns, sending the link to the office’s website and to the sheriff personally, he recalls. “I didn’t think it was real at first,” he explained. When questioned, the suspect told investigators “she was joking or playing a game with the baby.” “We didn’t take it as a joke or some type of game she was playing with a 9-month-old,” he says. “We wanted to make sure the child was okay. Luckily, the child was okay, but on Wednesday, authorities arrested Hardy on a charge of cruelty to children for the January 29 incident. “Hardy did pour a bottle of water on a 9-month-old female infant while the infant was sleeping,” the police department’s statement alleges. “After being poured with water the second time, the infant woke up coughing. Hardy video recorded the incident and posted it on her Facebook page.” Hardy was booked and released from jail on Wednesday after posting a $1,500 bond, according to reports from TV station  WIS  in Columbia.

Firefighters Rescue Stuck Teens Clearly, the weather is wacky all over the globe right now. Several regions across Italy are being flooded with rain showers, which caused a group of  Italian teenagers’ car to swerve off the road. Thank goodness for firefighters, though. A group of brave marshalls used ropes and planks of wood to rescue the three teens from the muddy river after their car reared off the road in heavy rain. Luckily, the teens were unharmed. But no word on whether or not their car mad it out the rainy madness.

Democratic Governor Ralph Northam was put on blast by a right-wing website Big League Politics that is run by former Roy Moore campaign official. You remember Roy Moore, right? The alleged pedo-perv who ran for governor and is said to have hung out at Alabama shopping malls to meet young girls back in his 30s. We digress, but it was worth noting. Anyway, BLP published a photo from Northam’s medical school year book that shows two men, one of which is him, standing side-by-side wearing Blackface and a KKK outfit respectively. Obviously Democrats from all corners of the party are calling for him to resign immediately. Northam has no plans on tendering one, instead, he offered this “apology” via Twitter Friday night. In his statement Friday, Northam apologized for the “decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now.” “This behavior is not in keeping with who I am today and the values I have fought for throughout my career in the military, in medicine, and in public service,” he said. Today, in a weird turn-of-events, Northam is doing a complete about-face. According to CNN , he’s now unsure that it is him inthe photograph because he doesn’t remember taking it. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has told a source he now believes it is not him in a racist yearbook photo and that he has no recollection of taking the photo, according a top Virginia Democratic source who spoke to the governor on Saturday. Northam told the source he was in touch with some of his former Eastern Virginia Medical School colleagues, who said they believed many of the pictures in the yearbook were mixed up. Sir, if you don’t get the entire f**k out of here. You went on the internet and admitted it was you! This Trump era got political gaslighting at an all-time high.

Roger Mathews Pens Letter to JWOWW, Admits to Abuse

Roger Mathews has admitted to assaulting Jenni “JWOWW” Farley. Following a series of scathing messages back and forth between Farley and Mathews this week, the latter has written a very long and revealing letter to the Jersey Shore star on his official website. It addresses Farley's claims that Mathews has pushed and hit her . It also addresses a video Farley posted that appeared to depict Mathews shoving her to the ground. We've summarized Mathews' letter below and included many excerpts from it, while also outlining the ongoing feud between these estranged spouses, who share two young kids together. With some quick background, we guess: The couple got married in October 2015 and share a two-year old son, who is Autistic, and a three-year old daughter. 2. Farley Filed for Divorce in September 2018 She cited irreconcilable differences at the time and Mathews immediately said on social media that he planned to win her back. All seemed okay. 3. But Then… … the two got into a major verbal altercation inside their home in December 2018. The police were called. Mathews was escorted out of his house and Farley was granted a restraining order against him. 4. Fast Forward About 6 Weeks… … and Farley exploded at Mathews via a lengthy letter of her own on her own official website. It accused Mathews of making “false accusations” against her and trying to “disgrace” her name. 5. It Said A LOT More, Too Farley alleged that Mathews has abused her and mistreated her and shoved her, writing at one point: “Your actions have and continue to place the children in harm’s way. The big 5-0 is right around the corner for Jennifer Aniston! And when it comes time to blow out the candles, we know just what she will be wishing for … A new beau!  Jen never imagined herself being single at 50 (honestly same) but, that is the tragic case for the Friends star.   I mean it’s really not that tragic, she still looks flawless at nearly 50-years-old and is an award-winning actress. As her big day approaches on February 11, Jen is panicking to find someone to spend it with, even if it’s fake.  The actress is so set on not being alone for her 50th year that  she has created a plan to find a ‘fauxmance’ .  Radar shared that single Jen is ready to “alleviate her loneliness” and hopefully before her birthday. A source close to Jen told the celebrity gossip publication that “she’s outwardly insisting that she’s fine about it, deep down she’s humiliated.” She assumed “she would be settled into a new relationship by now.” So did we considering her past dating pattern? Justin Theroux and Aniston announced their split last year right before her 49th birthday. Surprisingly just months after Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their own divorce. Of course, we all wish that Jen and Brad could give their love a second chance , but Jen reportedly is looking for younger men now anyway.  She claims she wants someone who is not looking to get “too serious,” according to a source from Life & Style. I’m pretty sure any young man would be happy to join Aniston for her birthday bash. She really must not be looking hard enough. The source told Radar that Jen is extremely lonely and that being single is weighing heavily on her.  I would suggest turning to Kourtney Kardashian for some advice on how to catch the young men .  The actress deserves to have some care-free fun! Especially on her birthday and after the disaster that was last years. “Jen is searching far and wide for a handsome man to make sure people aren’t feeling sorry for her,” reports Radar . The Finesse Fell Through: New Jersey Man Caught On Tape Faking A ‘Slip and Fall’ For Insurance Fraud

Source: Westend61 / Getty Man Fakes A Fall At Work And Gets Charged With Fraud A man from New Jersey has officially been charged with fraud after surveillance footage showed him faking a “slip and fall” at his former workplace, according to reports from   CBS . The (honestly kind of hilarious) video shows 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky purposely turning over a cup of ice onto the floor of his office’s break room. After then throwing the cup in the garbage, he walks back over and steps on an ice cube, and very unconvincingly “falls” on the floor. The man stayed there, laying on his back until he was discovered, CBS reports. Following this poor attempt at some insurance money for his “accident,” Goldinsky was later arrested on January 15 and charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception since, ya know, the fall seems completely non-accidental . The incident took place last year at an unidentified company in New Jersey, where Goldinsky was employed as an independent contractor. Following his arrest, he was released with a summons until he has to go to court in February. “Yes, I was brought to the police department,” he said to CBS New York. “I didn’t do it, it was a mistake.” But, on the contrary, authorities believe that the footage clearly shows he faked the fall. Following the incident, Goldinsky filed a claim for an ambulance and medical care at a hospital for the injuries he allegedly suffered. This is still an open and active investigation, according to prosecutors. The New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal is taking a bigger interest in cracking down on insurance fraud within the state, according to CBS New York.
