Source: Credit: Derrick Salters/WENN.com Back in June, Melyssa Ford suffered a near-fatal car accident when an 18-wheeler crashed into her Jeep in L.A., causing it to flip three times. While Ford survived, as she was wearing her seatbelt, she fractured her skull and has spent the last few months trying to recuperate. Over the weekend, the model, actress, and former video vixen gave fans an update on how she’s been doing . “I’m battling Depression,” she started out. “Crushing, malignant Depression. It was always there; it’s just been made a little worse because of the head trauma from the crash.” She also explained that she feels guilty because although she survived, she’s not always grateful. “There are days where simple tasks takes the effort of 40 men,” she said in the Instagram caption. “Mornings where I’m unhappy to wake and see the sun because it’s another day spent listlessly looking for solid meaning in life. The guilt I feel at having survived and not feeling constant gratitude is a heavy weight to bear. I’m trying to jump back into my life but it feels like there are two Me’s: Before and After the crash. And I barely know who Before Me is anymore.” She ended her note by urging her followers to check in on their “strongest friend” because “no one ever does.” Our hearts go out to Ford and we are keeping her health and peace of mind in our prayers. As you’re no doubt aware, celebrities play the game of life by a different set of rules than the rest of us. Behavior that wouldn’t fly for a hot second in the world of plebes is not only condoned but celebrated when it’s perpetrated by an actor with a role in a corporate film franchise or one of the few recording artists that can still sell out a stadium. But if the #MeToo movement has taught us anything, it’s that even for the rich and powerful, there comes a time when society draws a line in the sand. Which is why the whole world is looking at Drake right now with a collective “bruh, WTF are you doing?” expression. As you may have heard, the rapper maintains a close friendship with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. Brown opened up about her close relationship with the 31-year-old rapper at the 2018 Emmys last week, and we imagine every single viewers’ face simultaneously contorted into a perfect replica of the “yikes” emoji. Millie Bobby Brown on Drake To be clear, Millie is in no way at fault here. We imagine most 14-year-olds would leap at the chance to befriend one of their favorite recording artists. It’s Drake — and to a slightly lesser extent, Millie’s parents — who are deserving of the hard side-eye here. In order to understand how creepy this is, you need only to strip Drizzy of his celebrity status and re-examine the situation as though he were just Some Dude. If you knew nothing about Drake other than the fact that he’s a 31-year-old man who’s in the habit of routinely texting a 14-year-old girl and telling her how much he misses her, whatever shred of sympathy you might have had for the rap world’s answer to Humbert Humbert would likely go right out the window. Like most celebrities, he gets a pass on certain actions that would get him rightly shunned from civilian society. Fortunately, in 2018, powerful men no longer get away with every kind of questionable behavior. We’re not saying Drake is as bad as the worst of the #MeToo offenders, but his image as the non-threatening nice guy of the hip hop world has taken quite a few hits in recent months. As you may recall, the summer of 2018 began with the revelation that Drake has a secret son , with whom he’s barely had any contact. Drake attempted a lame explanation as to why he’s been hiding his son from the world (he was actually hiding the world from his son , the rapper explained, in full earnest-Drizzy mode), but for the most part, the public wasn’t buying his victim routine. Shortly thereafter, we learned that Drake was dating an 18-year-old fan and aspiring model. Again, not illegal — but not the sort of thing that inspires much faith in the man’s character. Now, we have Drake’s relationship with Millie. Again, it’s possible that the rapper entered this situation with the best of intentions, but to say he’s handling it poorly at this point would be to massively understate the awkwardness of how this is all playing out. On social media, Brown has attempted to diffuse the situation (see above), while Drake has kept mum, thus leaving her to twist in the wind. We can only hope dude is quietly extricating himself from the situation and gently explaining to Millie his reasons for doing so. You’ve had a very rough year, Drizzy — time to start earning some redemption.

Tiffany Haddish is out here working. Ever since she starred in Will Packer ’s Girl Trip, which was directed by Malcolm D Lee , she’s been everywhere. So when her tv show The Carmichael Show went off the air it was no big deal because she was about to blow all the way up. In 2018 Tiffany will appear in 4 movies, the already released Uncle Drew , Night School which hits theaters this Friday, as well as The Oath and Nobody’s Fool coming to theaters later this year. The saying goes if you ain’t got no haters you ain’t mother effing popping. Tiffany is popping that’s the reason why she has a lot of haters. Haters saying things like she is working too much, she doesn’t deserve her spot or she keeps playing the same character. Well in her new movie Night School she plays a teacher called Carrie, who is trying to earn some extra money to survive in this world by teaching a GED program at night. The movie also stars Kevin Hart , Rob Riggle And Romany Malco who completely steals the show. This movie is just what you would expect from Kevin and Tiffany a silly physical comedy with fart jokes, throw up jokes and a straight roasting session between Kev and Tiff to introduce us to her character. Night School gives us what we love about Tiffany with some brief glimpses at the range of Haddish as an actress. I sat down with Hart, who co-produced this film with Will Packer, and the woman so popping comedic legends are hating on her success. We talked about their hilarious fart scene where I asked Kevin who would he allow to fart in his face. Tiffany suggests Kevin’s wife farted in his mouth before. Hilarious. We also talked about Kevin and Tiffany’s five-year plan after a lot of bad math. For the record Think Like A Man was released in 2012. Lastly, I asked Tiffany how she ignores all the hate she gets and she revealed she got real problems to deal with not to mention how she is cashing all these checks. That’s why she was quiet when Katt Williams spouted off nonsense about her and her career. Of course, they addressed Katt’s comments during their interview with The Breakfast Club , but what about everyone else? Tiffany drops some knowledge and some jokes of course. The interview is perfect to watch just before you go see Night School in theaters everywhere on Friday, September 28th.
A year after landing a huge distribution deal with Apple, Black tech entrepreneur Silas Adekunle is on his way to becoming the highest paid robotics engineer in the world, The Guardian reported. Silas Adekunle is the Highest Paid Robotics Engineer in the World https://t.co/ZGxbHpk6lU pic.twitter.com/OIhj1ej7Nm — Afrotech (@AfroTech) September 23, 2018 Adekunle, 27, is the creator of Reach Robotics; a company designed to teach STEM education through gaming robots, the news outlet writes. The Lagos, Nigeria native launched the company in 2013 with the mission to utilize augmented reality as a learning tool. The robot figures—which are called MekaMons—can be controlled with smartphones and players can utilize a Bluetooth functionality for their robots to battle each other. Users can also use code commands through Apple’s Swift Playgrounds coding app to control their robots. Adekunle—a graduate of the University of West England—says he couldn’t reach this level in the tech industry without the guidance and support from his alma mater. “When I started out, I had amazing support from my university and the Bristol Robotics Lab – but communicating the potential of MekaMon, as well as the technology itself, to people outside of that world required some imagination,” he told Pulse . “We believe that this technology has huge potential within STEM education – both as a teaching aid and as a means to inspire the next generation – whatever their backgrounds – to aspire to a career in STEM.” Adekunle says that he wants to use his journey to inspire the youth in Africa to pursue careers in STEM. “I hope that I might be a positive example of what is possible for kids in Nigeria with the same passion for dissecting technology and developing devices that I did at their age,” he told the news outlet. Photo By Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call Arizona Representative Paul Gosar’s Family Stars In Commercial Endorsing His Opponent In Arizona, Democrats win when the family feuds . Six of Representative Paul Gosar’s nine siblings have decided to endorse the candidate running against their brother after being fed up with his extreme views on immigration, health care, and white supremacy. The video, which came out on Friday, features Gosar’s brothers and sisters — Tim, David, Grace, Joan, Justin and Jennifer Gosar, in an ad for endorsing Dr. David Brill, a Democrat, for Congress in the Arizona primaries. Let’s just say, you have to be one terrible person for your entire family to hate you this bad. David Gosar, a lawyer in Wyoming, tells The New York Times , they just did what they had to do. “What are we supposed to do when Paul makes excuses for the Charlottesville Nazis, goes to a march for Tommy Robinson, a despicable right-wing British thug and gives a speech, is a birther, slanders an old man, George Soros, who didn’t do anything wrong to him and then refuses to apologize, is on a mission to destroy health care coverage, denies climate change despite not having a clue of what he’s talking about, and supports a policy of kicking out DACA kids and taking babies away from parents at the border? Are we supposed to be silent? Or if we don’t, when we speak out we’re included in the term, “petty?” None of this is even close to being any kind of a joke to us.” Paul Gosar responded by sending out an angry tweet aimed towards his siblings. “You can’t pick your family. We all have crazy aunts and relatives etc and my family is no different. I hope they find peace in their hearts and let go all the hate. To the six angry Democrat Gosars—see you at Mom and Dad’s house! #AZ04 #MAGA2018″ Thanksgiving is going to be awkward in the Gosar house!
Kailyn Lowry has always been open about her feelings … super, super open. And now, in her upcoming book, she's being more open than ever. In some new excerpts from the book, titled A Letter of Love, she writes about her relationship with Javi Marroquin, and how it's evolved over the years. Let's just say that this girl is holding nothing back … 1. These Crazy Kids Have Kailyn and Javi ever just had a calm, non-dramatic relationship? No, right? 2. A Romance for the Ages They met in 2011, when Javi kept creeping on her while she worked in the mall, and things just gotten crazier and crazier since then. 3. Moving Fast They got married in September of 2012, and just over a year later, their son, Lincoln, was born. 4. Not So Great Things were never really good between them, or at least they weren’t on Teen Mom 2. He seemed a little too controlling, and they just never really seemed to have fun together much at all. 5. So Sad In 2015, she got pregnant again, but she ended up having a miscarriage, and in his grief, he blamed her for it. 6. The End That was the final nail in the coffin — or one of them, at least — and they filed for divorce that December. View Slideshow
Image via Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images/Scott Dudelson/Getty Images Daz Dillinger Celebrates Suge Knight’s 28-Year Prison Sentence Yesterday, news broke that Suge Knight plead guilty to the manslaughter of Terry Carter following the now-infamous argument on the set of Straight Outta Compton . Suge wasn’t exactly Mr. Congeniality within the music industry and he accumulated more enemies than friends during his tenure as the CEO and founder of Death Row Records. One such enemy is Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger. Daz couldn’t possibly have been more jovial at the news that his former boss will sit behind bars for what is presumably the rest of his natural life. The rapper/producer took to Instagram to blow some celebratory kush in the air and sprinkled a pinch of salt Suge’s wound and even mocked his family. Sounds like Daz hasn’t been as forgiving of Suge like Snoop Dogg has. The beef never dies.
