Source: Momorad / Getty Former Ohio Teenager Acquitted On Charges Of Murdering Her Newborn baby 20-year old Brooke Skylar Richardson was found not guilty on Friday after being accused of killing her newborn baby and burying her in the backyard. The former Ohio cheerleader was acquitted on three serious charges, including aggravated murder and involuntary manslaughter — however, the jury did find her guilty of gross abuse of a corpse which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. According to reports , the defense team argued during the trial that Richardson, who was a high school cheerleader at the time, was scared because the baby, which she named Annabelle, was stillborn. Meanwhile, prosecutors suggested that Richardson killed her baby and then buried the body in the backyard of her family’s home in Carlisle, Ohio days after her high school prom because she did not want to “ruin her perfect life”. Assistant prosecutor Steven Knippen said in court: “Shortly, after murdering her daughter and placing her daughter in the dirt, and not even having the decency to cover it with a blanket, she sent two elated text messages: My belly is back, my belly is back.” The shocking verdict came after an eight-day trial during which jurors had to decide whether Richardson was just a frightened 17-year old who experienced a stillbirth or “a cold-blooded murderer”; and they chose the latter. The young defendant was sentenced to three years of basic supervision but will serve no more jail time. As part of the sentence she was set to spend seven days in the county jail, but Warren County Judge Donald Oda II credited her with time already served. Meanwhile, there are women of color sitting in jail for crimes they actually didn’t do. SMH. This story totally reeks of White privilege.

Like most social media feuds, it was hard to tell who was right or wrong, but people still took sides. Since then, they have rarely mentioned each other — until now. DeRay McKesson wrote a scathing and long piece on King. He then implies King stole money from Justice Together, where McKesson was a board member at one point, and said, “To date, it is not clear that Shaun filed the appropriate taxes for Justice Together, as there is no 990 form available for public review from the IRS website.” He also slammed Shaun King’s fundraising report, claiming it was not independent. McKesson also alleged he “did not ‘raise’ millions. He took credit for other people’s work… He takes credit for 100% of all funds raised for any fundraiser whose link he has ever posted online, in an e-mail blast, or re-tweeted .” McKesson also referenced the Clarissa Brooks incident, where King demanded an apology after she reportedly said that he stole or spent money that was raised for Cyntoia Brown , which King claimed he never raised money for. McKesson cites a bunch of failed projects from King. Basically, McKesson believes King is a fraud. King has been defending his name for weeks after Rihanna announced she will honor the Morehouse man at an upcoming awards ceremony. Social media went ham and demanded that she reconsider . In response, King released a 72-page report of “ every single penny I’ve ever raised since” Black Lives Matter began. The documents were compiled and authored in part by people like Tamika Mallory , Co-Chair of The Women’s March and Co-Founder of Justice League NYC and civil rights attorney Lee Merritt . The report focused on fundraisers that King promoted through his social media accounts and provided what King said was a full accounting of his financial relationship with Real Justice PAC and Action PAC along with five years of his tax returns. In addition, King said the authors of the fundraising report had unlimited access to his and his family’s checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, retirement accounts and money management software. “ I’ve helped raise over $34.5 million for families, charities, causes, & campaigns,” King tweeted Tuesday morning. “A 7 person expert review board inspected every penny – including the past 5 years of my tax returns. The family of Botham Jean , the man who was killed by Dallas police officer Amber Guyger a year ago this Friday, had nothing but glowing words for King. “We have had the pleasure of interacting with Shaun King in the months following Botham’s murder,” Jean’s family wrote. “Shaun has become more than another voice for our family. At first, it looked like they were just two young, beautiful ships passing in the night. But these days, Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are banging in “Pleasure Town.” By which we mean Dean’s van. Mostly. Dean explains how he first nervously met Connor Saeli after their Bachelor in Paradise love triangle. “I was like, ‘Hey, man. It’s nice to meet you,” he says. Dean even complimented him, saying: “You’re even more handsome in person [than] you are on television and from a distance.” “We didn’t really talk much,” the 28-year-old admits. “And then the reunion happened,” Dean recalls. “And he tried to talk s–t.” At the reunion, Connor had questions for Caelynn about why she had left Paradise with Dean. “Connor is this really incredibly good-looking dude,” Dean correctly acknowledges. “I was terrified.” “I was, like, building him up, and then after the show, I shook his hand,” Dean recalls. He continues: “And I was like, ‘Hey, it’s nice to officially, formally meet you.’” It’s always intimidating to meet your girl’s ex. Especially when he looks like Connor. Especially when he looks like Connor shirtless . “He leans over,” Dean narrates. “And he goes, ‘Nice to meet you too, man. I would really love to see the van sometime.'” “‘I’ve been thinking about doing the van life myself,'” he says that Connor told him. Personally, the van is fine — Dean’s doing okay. I’m just glad to see the mustache in the ashes of history where he belongs. That was not the end of it, if you can believe it. Dean relates to Nick that he slid into Connor’s DMs to wish him luck in the future. Standard politeness stuff. Well, apparently Connor once again brought up how much he envied the freedom of Deanie’s current lifestyle. “Are you jealous of it, or do you wanna talk s–t about it?” Dean asks rhetorically while recalling this exchange. Folks, it sounds like Dean’s van is a sore subject for him and he’s a little self-conscious. You can make fun of it if you want, but don’t expect him to fall in love with you if you do. Despite that clear point of contention, Dean says that he and Connor are “fine.” Dean is the one who ended up boning Caelynn into the sunset, so that’s probably a good alm to his ego. In fact, Dean says that he would “love” to help Connor get set up like he is and give him advice and generally show him the ropes. “You seem like a great guy. I wanna be friends,” Dean says. From there on out, its pretty standard stuff — Lauren plays piano and digs interior design, but her favorite pastime is hanging out with Josiah. But still — nursing, yodeling, interests that don’t involve Jesus and housework? Seems that Lauren may have a richer interior life than some folks gave her credit for. For years, we’ve been hearing that despite all of the hype about Jinger, Josiah is the real Duggar rebel , the one who resists his father’s influence at every turn.
