Amanda Seyfried is most known for her roles in Mamma Mia and Les Miserables . Roles that could be described as “good girls”. In her newest film, Lovelace , she puts a different spin on the good girl image. Despite Seyfried’s performance being applauded in many of the Lovelace reviews , the actress recognizes that there is risk in taking on the role of Linda Lovelace. In an interview with The Sunday Times, Amanda Seyfried admits that the porn biopic “may ruin my career.” A film about a porn icon is not one that many actresses might jump on so Seyfried is likely correct in her reservations. However, if the film’s first weekend at the box office, in limited release, is any indication, Seyfried has no need for concern. Lovelace averaged $184,000 in each of its 118 theaters which is not too shabby. Not great, but not horrible by any means. Are Seyfried’s fears unfounded? What say you? Nope. I didn’t know who Christine Marzano was before seeing her at the Paranoia premiere, but I think you can figure out why she caught my eye. And it has nothing to do with whether or not she’s famous. It almost never does. Anyway, I still don’t know who Christine is because I’ve been too busy staring at these pictures to look her up. According to US Magazine Listen up, Justin Bieber! Mark Wahlberg has been there, done that — and more — and he has some free advice for you. In a live webchat with U.K. newspaper The Sun, the Pain & Gain star jokingly offered up a few nuggets of his own hard-won wisdom for the 19-year-old singer, who’s had a recent spate of bad press. “Justin, are you listening? Don’t be so naughty, yeah?” Wahlberg quipped in a faux British accent. “Be a nice boy, pull your trousers up, make your mum proud, yeah? Stop smoking all that sticky icky, you little bastard.” Then, taking a more serious tone, the father of four added: “He’s a kid. Let him live his life. I would hope that he would look at it like I wish I looked at it and think, ‘You know what, now is the time to be focused and to be disciplined and to be the best that I can be in this career.’” Wahlberg, 42, speaks from experience, having struggled with substance abuse and criminal charges when he was a teen. Bieber’s offenses, by comparison, don’t look so bad to the actor. “He’s a teenager living in a different day and age…I was in prison before I got a record out, and I don’t think he’s been to prison, and I don’t think he wants to go,” Wahlberg told The Sun. “He’s a nice enough kid.” That said, fame can be a slippery slope, the former rapper warned. “You’re going to be a teenager, but if you’re being a teenager in the spotlight, then you’re going to be criticized for it,” he explained, citing Bieber’s young, female fanbase. “This career can be short-lived — you might as well be the best you can while you’re doing it.” Wahlberg — who has been in talks to do a movie with Bieber — doled out some similar advice to the star during an interview with Vulture in April. “I think it’s best to put down the phone and Twitter and all that stuff, and just be a little more low-key right now,” he said. “Because they’re watching every move he makes, everything he says, and less is more. I know a lot of people are down on Britney Spears these days, but not me. Sure, she’s had her ups and downs, but I feel like she’s finally gotten her act together again. P.S. From supporting Justin since 2008, I was finally able to meet him June 26th 2013. I had been at the arena since 10 a.m. and the doors didn’t open until 6 at night. I spent the day with friends walking around and just hanging out. At around 4, most of my friends had gone back to their hotel to freshen up, while myself and four of my other friends that were still at the arena decided to grab something to eat and charge our phones. While we were walking we noticed someone walking in front of us and he had a one of the ‘All Access’ passes on a lanyard around his neck, and was pretending to be on the phone. We ended up going the same direction as him and and stopped to talk to him. He asked if we were going to the show that night. We told him we were but that two of our friends didn’t have tickets. He said our best bet was to wait outside the loading dock where the buses came in and wait for Scooter. After we ate, we headed back to the arena and people had already started to line up to enter the venue. The line was pretty long and we decided to go over by the loading dock and try our luck. We waited for almost 3 hours and we were started to give up and lose hope of Scooter ever coming out. The security guy was really nice and told us that there was a car waiting for Scooter but he didn’t want to let him in even though he was supposed to because he had heard about our friends that didn’t have tickets and wanted to see if we could get tickets. There was about 15-20 people outside and everyone waiting didn’t have tickets and were out there for the same reason. Right as I was about to tell my friends that we should probably go in because we didn’t wan’t to miss the countdown, everyone started screaming. I quickly got up off the floor and ran to the gate to see what was going on. That’s when I saw Justin coming up the driveway on his segway followed by Scooter and 5 security guards! It all happened so fast but he came up to the side of the gate I was on and went across grabbing everyone’s hands. He started making his way back and taking people’s phones and taking selfies with the fans through the fence. When he came up to me, he grabbed my phone and our fingers awkwardly locked when I gave him my phone. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. I don’t even remember him saying anything except when he was leaving and he mouthed, “Thank you, I love you,” and waved to everyone. It was so surreal. After I finally got myself together, I walked into the arena with my friends who had tickets. The concert was absolutely amazing and by far the best day of my life. The thought of Justin coming out to say hi and meet the fans who didn’t have tickets honestly never even crossed my mind. Justin was the last person on this earth I would have had the chance to meet. I kept telling myself, “He’s too famous. It’s just never going to happen, I don’t have enough luck,” and after 5 years it finally happened. He is such a genuine and amazing person and even more flawless in person. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever actually think I could be here writing my very own MBE. All I can say is to never give up, no matter what. All the time and money you’ve spent on him and his career will all be worth it without a doubt. The 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, turns 52 today. He’s probably feeling like he’s 52 going on 73 at this point in his career. Between still-modest economic growth, widespread global instability, myriad administration scandals and polarization in D.C., there’s a lot on his plate. Whichever side of the political spectrum you’re on, you have to admit, the man’s got a tough job. At the very least, Obama could use some birthday wishes! Just hang in there, Mr. President.
