Jennifer Hawkins Half Naked for an Underwear Campaign of the Day

Her name is Jennifer Hawkins and I follow her on Instagram, which is probably not her biggest accomplishment in her career, but I like to think it is, at least when I am masturbating, cuz there’s nothing wrong with pretending you matter in the life of half naked women who probably make millions, even if limited to the Australian market, for getting half naked…. She’s not much of an actor….but she’s Australian…and for some reason Australia really speaks to me…because the girls are just hot, rockin’ bodied, and down to get fucking drunk and have a good time….at least that is what I’ve told…cuz the closest I’ve been to Australia was watching Crocodile Dundee in the 80s, and Steve Irwin’s viral video death….and that one Kangaroo porn, that I may have imagined….now this….bra ad….featuring awesome.

Kate Bosworth Seduces in Vs. Magazine of the Day

I like Kate Bosworth….she’s skinny and I never really understood why her career never really took off…unless you consider that movie Blue Crush…which was pretty much her peak…taking off….but I guess at 30 she hasn’t given up yet…and she’s jumped back into the model world…despite being old….becaus she’s tall, skinny and has a great face…that she’s using in this magazine spread…all elegant and romantic…making me fall in love with her all over again…but maybe that’s just gas.

Chris Kyle Shot Dead; "American Sniper" Author Killed at Gun Range

Chris Kyle, a former Navy SEAL who wrote “American Sniper” about his career as a marksman in Iraq, was shot dead at a gun range in Texas Saturday. Kyle, 38, and another man were found dead at the shooting range of Rough Creek Lodge on Saturday afternoon, the Texas Highway Patrol said. The killer, identified as Eddie Ray Routh of Lancaster, Texas, was arrested after a brief pursuit, Trooper and spokesman Lonny Haschel confirmed. The other victim was named as Chad Littlefield, aged 35. Kyle, a Texas native who grew up hunting, served four tours in Iraq with Navy SEAL Team 3, and is credited with 160 confirmed kills as a marksman. His shooting during battles in Ramadi and Fallujah became legendary, and insurgents nicknamed him the “Devil of Ramadi” and put a bounty on his head. Remarkable skill at his craft – one shooting too place from 2,100 yards, 1.2 miles away – earned Chris the reputation as “America’s deadliest sniper.” In a February 2012 interview with NBC News, Kyle said he didn’t want to put the number of people he killed in the book but the publisher insisted. “If I could figure out the number of people I saved, that’s something I would brag about,” he told NBC News’ Lester Holt, regarding the U.S. mission. Those close to him were shocked by the news. “It just comes as a shock and it’s staggering to think that after all Chris has been through, that this is how he meets his end,” Scott McEwen, his co-author, said. After leaving the Navy, Kyle founded Craft International, a group that provides training to military, police, corporate and civilian clients, Reuters said. Kyle was married with two children. Police said Routh is believed to have shot the victims at around 3:30 p.m. before leaving the shooting range and returning to his home in a pickup truck. The link between Routh and the two victims wasn’t immediately clear. The Dallas Morning News reported that Routh is 25 and had military training.

Steven Soder-burnt: Retiring Director Says He Used His ‘Last Good Idea’ While Making ‘Side Effects’

As Steven Soderbergh said at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s preview screening of Side Effects on Wednesday, “There’s Movie A and there’s Movie B and there’s Movie C.”  The director was making the apt point that Side Effect s could have been a heavy-handed movie about a) Big Pharma or b)  insider trading, two of the film’s main motifs.  But Soderbergh chose c),  a much subtler and entertaining third path, and judging from the Manhattan audience’s enthusiastic reaction to the picture, his instincts did not fail him.   Following the screening, Soderbergh took part in a Q&A session with cast members, Rooney Mara , Jude Law and Vinessa Shaw and Side Effects screenwriter Scott Z. Burns. When one moviegoer asked the director, “Did you ever feel like you might have missed an opportunity for a bigger conversation about Big Pharma?” Soderbergh responded:  “I didn’t want to see that. What I loved about what Scott [Burns] did is that that issue was just a Trojan horse to hide a thriller inside of. I feel like, as a movie—that you stand in line and pay to see—I didn’t want to see a serious movie about Big Pharma. I really didn’t. I feel like I can read about that. It’s all over the news. It’s everywhere.” Alluding to his self-proclaimed retirement from filmmaking Soderbergh continued, “That may be a result of the fact that I’m in the twilight of my career. I honestly wanted to make something that…was connected to movies I saw when I was growing up that I thought were fun.” Burns chimed in to explain he generally starts “writing from a place where there’s something I’m upset or passionate about. So, obviously I have strong feelings about that whole issue.”  But, he reasoned, “I don’t like movies that are preachy. If they are, they should be things like An Inconvenient Truth . We all wanted to make something really entertaining. The hope is that it causes a discussion about all these other issues. But we wanted to invite people to go on a ride.” Side Effects offers a lot of plot twists and turns along the way. Even Thomas Newman’s superb, eerie score elicits sensations that don’t necessarily align with the spare, elegant scenes unfolding on screen. “I feel like you should have a reason for every shot and you should have a reason for every cut,” Soderbergh told the crowd at the Walter Reade Theater before praising Burns’ script yet again. “What I loved about this piece of material is it’s an incredible opportunity to take it all down to the marrow,”  he said, adding: “That doesn’t mean it has to be boring. It doesn’t mean that it can’t be stylish. It just means that, as a director, you’re supposed to have the 30,000-foot view of the movie and [to] be able to calibrate how the shots and the cutting patterns are going to affect the audience.” Soderbergh did not sound like filmmaker who was ready to fold up his director’s chair, and after demonstrating his nuanced choice of camera angles for a specific scene, Shaw, who plays Law’s wife in the film, addressed the elephant in the room. “And why are you quitting directing, based on everything you just said?” the actress said. [Insert passionate round of applause here.] “Because I don’t ever want to be in a situation where that’s the solve again,”  Soderbergh said. “I can’t use that again. I used it. And that’s the last good idea I ever had.” Nell Alk is an arts and entertainment writer and reporter based in New York City. Will ‘The Impossible’ Make Oscar Possible For Naomi Watts?

Here’s a shout-out for Naomi Watts , and I am afraid she’ll need it.  She’s the sole Oscar nominee from director J.A. Bayona’s   The Impossible, and that means she has a real uphill climb for a win.  Watts is up against four other nominees in the Best Actress category — Jennifer Lawrence ( Silver Linings Playbook ), Jessica Chastain ( Zero Dark Thirty ), Emmanuelle Riva ( Amour) and 9-year old Quvenzhane Wallis ( Beasts Of The Southern Wild ) — whose movies have the additional momentum of a Best Picture nomination. It’s a huge disadvantage now that the Academy at large is voting, not just the actors branch. Although a big hit in Bayona’s native Spain, The Impossible   — which tells the story of a family fighting to survive the catastrophic Thailand tsunami of 2004 — underperformed in its U.S.  run. The movie’s mid-December opening, which took place the same week that Academy balloting began, didn’t help its Oscar chances either.  That Watts made the Best Actress short list at all is a testament to her gritty, visceral performance, which she has described as the most physically challenging movie of her career. And she’d have a real shot at a statuette if Academy members actually took the time to watch the movie. (Voting begins Feb. 8 and ends Feb. 19.) The one advantage Watts does have over her fellow nominees is that she is playing a real life person: Maria Belon, a Spanish wife and mother who lived to tell the tale and has enthusiastically endorsed Watts’ performance at various events this season.  Chastain’s character, Maya, is also said to be based on an actual CIA operative, but the actress claims to have never met the woman who inspired her Zero Dark Thirt y role.  Although the Thailand tsunami took more than 200,000 lives, The Impossible is not about dying. Bayona and his screenwriter Sergio Sanchez have crafted a powerful, harrowing film about living and, more importantly, family. Particularly during its grueling first half,   The Impossible is, at times, almost unbearable to watch as the injured and frightened Maria (Watts) and her older son Lucas  ( Tom Holland ) attempt to find what’s left of civilization after being swept away and nearly killed by the tsunami. Gravely injured, Maria clings to life while her son leads them on, looking for medical attention and holding out hope that his father Henry ( Ewan McGregor ) and two younger brothers, who were separated from them by the cataclysmic event, are still alive. Once the pair finally make it to a makeshift hospital, Maria is not given much hope to survive, and Watt’s plays these scenes brilliantly, acting largely with her eyes. Meanwhile, Henry and his two other sons are desperately seeking to determine if  Maria and Lucas are okay, and in one devastating scene that will resonate with any father, McGregor breaks down during a phone call home, no longer able to bear the emotional toll of what has happened to his family.  It’s a sterling moment for McGregor, who should have joined Watts on the Oscar honor roll this year. He has never been more effective on screen as he is in those moments (surrounded, by the way, by many of the actual survivors of the 2004 Tsunami who were cast as extras). For those who know the true story of Maria, the decision to change the nationality of her and her family may seem jarring at first, but quickly becomes inconsequential  thanks to the performances of Watts and McGregor in roles that would test the mettle of the best actors. As for the tsunami itself, it has been exquisitely re-created the old fashioned way using a water tank and models. Although it comprises only a few minutes of the film — in the beginning and in brief flashbacks near the conclusion — it is stunningly realistic and a chilling reminder of how fragile life can be. Bayona understands that the best way to accomplish this is not through special effects but through the extraordinary performances of his actors. The Impossible is impossible to shake off, and Academy members should not miss Watts’ incredible performance in this movie. Follow Pete Hammond on  Twitter. Follow Movieline on  Twitter.

Tara Conner Busts Out Nicely

It has been a while since I did a post on former Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner , but here she is at the Miss Nevada USA Pageant after-party with what appears to be a pair of new funbags. Those things look amazing and I’m sure they’re exactly what is needed to resurrect her career. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing more of those in the near future.

Miranda Kerr is Amazing in February’s Jalouse of the Day

Miranda Kerr is fantastic….on all fronts except maybe her personal life…I mean she didn’t have to marry and get knocked up when she was in her prime…even if she had nannies to handle the kid and a metabolism that would allow her to bounce back from the kid…cuz it is easier when you are younger…or even if at the time her career could have gone either way and a young millionaire actor from the same town as her was a good option for a retirement plan….even if no one remembers who Orlando Bloom is but this wide faced beauty has taken over the world…but ultimately…none of that matters when we’re looking at her photoshoot pics….

OMG! Candice Swanepoel Posted a Bikini Pic of the Day

I am pretty sure that like a pornstar with a contract…or a WWE superstar with a contract…Candice Swanepoel has a contract with Victoria’s Secret and they own all aspects of her career…because why wouldn’t they?! I mean they found her, they pumped millions into marketing her, they let her on their all star team, they should fucking monetize and benefit from all aspects of her career because it all stems back to them…I mean it’s not like they are nice people, just helping a South African friend get ahead, introducing her to the right people, they are a business and she’s a pivotal part of it, at least right now… So in them owning her, I can assume that they also run all her social media, as if she’s a line of panties, and they use her followers to shout themselves out while posting standard archive pics like this, and it’s really not all that bad of a thing….considering she’s half naked in it and that half nakedness totally blinds me from all the evil that surrounds her…from Blood Diamonds….to Blood lace and not just cuz of an unexpected miscarriage or period….all business is evil at least when it comes to Candice Swanepoel….
