NFL Gets First Full Time Female Coach Big strides were made in the sports world today , as the first woman was placed in a full-time coaching position with the Buffalo Bills. Via CBSnews : A New York state sports team made history on Wednesday. As CBS2’s Steve Overmyer reported, the NFL coaching fraternity has officially crossed gender lines. The Buffalo Bills hired the NFL’s first female, full-time coach. Kathryn Smith will be the Bills’ special teams quality control coach. Smith spent twelve seasons in the Jets organization before following Rex Ryan to Buffalo. “She certainly deserves this promotion based on her knowledge and strong commitment,” Ryan said in a statement. CBS affiliate WIVB-TV, Buffalo reported Smith started her career as an intern with the Jets before spending time as a player personnel assistant, and assistant to the head coach. The move comes as part of a new wave of gender progress in men’s professional sports. Just months ago the Arizona Cardinals hired Jen Welter as a temp coach in the off-season. In the NBA the Spurs hired Becky Hammon as their assistant. Smith’s position is considered an apprenticeship to becoming a head coach. Nice! Good for her getting this groundbreaking role… Twitter

Johnny Depp: Drunk and Disoriented at Film Fest Appearance?

Rumors of Johnny Depp getting drunk (or drunker than usual) before public appearances have been circulating for months now, and the pics of Depp at last weekend’s Palm Springs International Film Festival are unlikely to quash the speculation: “He was very friendly but almost unrecognizable!” one onlooker told Radar Online . “He looked to have put on a good 30 pounds at least.” “His hair was a greasy mess, and his teeth were yellowed too. It was pretty shocking. He looked more like Marlon Brando than Johnny Depp!” Apparently, it wasn’t just Depp’s appearance that had attendees worried, as the 52-year-old’s behavior was strange even by the lofty standards he’s set throughout his career. Sources say Depp careened from table to table making small talk throughout the evening, but had little to say when he took the stage to accept an award. “During the dinner, he went over to Christian Bale’s table and squatted on the floor talking to him,” said one witness, who adds that the actor wasn’t nearly so chatty during his acceptance speech: “He kind of mumbled, ‘How was the beef?’ He seemed really confused and rambling and then just ended abruptly by saying ‘It’s over with, that’s it,’ before just walking off. People were kind of looking at each other like, ‘What just happened?’ It was bizarre.” Rumors that Depp’s drinking is getting out of hand began when the actor gave a clearly inebriated speech at last year’s Hollywood Film Awards .  Since then, there have been reports of Depp’s drinking is driving Amber Heard away after less than a year of marriage. We doubt that, as she usually looks pretty happy by his side on the red carpet…and we kinda doubt that she’s that good an actress  Plus, we imagine the woman knew what she was getting into when she exchanged vows with a wobbly Captain Jack on a remote island in the Pacific. Depp’s latest appearances are part of his awards season push for Black Mass,  which despite its title, is not a documentary about Johnny’s liver.

A new report points fingers at Kanye West for straying from his marital bed. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry , West is messing around with Savannah Winters, a model/dancer from Texas who performed on his tour. One of Winters’ alleged “close” friends from high school notified Fameolous  about the affair, claiming that West bought Winters a Mercedes for Christmas, and even invited her to his May 2014 wedding to Kim Kardashian. “I got some major tea for you but I have to remain anonymous,” the source told the site.   “One of my friends from high school is messing around with Kanye West her name is Savannah Winters she was the star on his tour I suspected they were messing around when he invited her to his wedding but last night it’s was confirmed when I went thru her phone i saw messages in regards to the Mercedes he bought her for Christmas I’m digging for more information. “And don’t believe the hype about Tory her boyfriend,” the source added.  “That’s a choreographer he knows about her life ass [sic] a high end escort since she was a Houston Rockets cheerleader. She might be the new kid on the block but she is definitely making her mark on the best and brightest of the music biz. Penning Monica’s new single “Just Right For Me” and “Discover” on Chris Brown’s latest album “Royalty”, the Memphis, TN native is taking the scene by storm and just might be the one to pull R&B from the dead. After moving to Miami at such a young age, Jozzy began writing for Timbaland, as well as artists on Kanye’s G.O.O.D. music label. Around this same time Jozzy also learned firsthand how social media can be the Devil… or at least how quickly things can get out of hand. She was recruited to write for none other than the Queen Bey and posted a phone pic to twitter with the caption: “THIS IS WHO I’M LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW! JAY Z AND BEYONCE #BLESSED TO BE HERE”. Needless to say, tons of Beyonce fans swarmed the account and Jozzy was asked to remove the photo; but not before it had a chance to go viral. All of that attention led to a very pivotal moment in her career when Missy Elliot personally reached out in admiration of Jozzy’s silky 90’s style & her tone. “MISSY was the real reason for me wanting to pursue my career as an artist” – Jozzy recalls. Now under the music powerhouse Polow Da Don, Jozzy is prepping her launch as a solo artist and enhancing her career as a songwriter by writing for not only Chris Brown and Monica, but Usher, Pitbull, Ciara & Fergie, to name a few. Chelsea Clinton: Pregnant With Second Child!

Some actual good news out of the world of politics today as Chelsea Clinton – the daughter of former president Bill Clinton and current presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton – has announced that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting their second child. Chelsea shared the news on social media moments ago, tweeting, “Next summer, Charlotte is going to be a big sister! Feeling very blessed & grateful this holiday season.” Hillary Clinton commented on the tweet, writing: “Your dad and I could not be happier for you, Marc, and Charlotte. We’re so excited to meet our second grandchild!” Chelsea gave birth to daughter Charlotte in September of 2014. Democratic front-runner Hillary has frequently gushed about the toddler on the campaign trail and cheerfully discusses her duties as a grandmother in interviews. A former correspondent for NBC News , Clinton has stepped away from her career to focus on being a mother.  Following her announcement on Twitter, Chelsea elaborated on her exciting news in a Facebook post: “Being Charlotte’s parents has been the most joyous, meaningful and loving experience of our lives and we are very excited about growing our family in the new year,” the 35-year-old wrote. We’d like to offer our congratulations to Chelsea and Marc on their impending bundle of joy. Sadly, the newest addition to the Clinton family will be breastfeeding in November of 2016, and thus, unable to assist with her grandmother’s campaign.
