Taddrick Mingo Says Jermaine Dupri Never Paid Him A judge has shut down Jermaine Dupri’s attempt to have his ex-personal assistant’s lawsuit thrown out of court, and now his former employee can continue on in the legal battle accusing the music producer of never paying the man a dime for four years of work. The music producer’s ex-assistant, Taddrick Mingo, filed a federal lawsuit back in 2014, claiming his former boss of screwed him out of wages and overtime along with violating labor laws. Mingo began working for Dupri back in 2010 as his personal assistant, road manager and record engineer. He said he normally worked 65 plus hours a week and never received his wages despite the producer assuring him the money would come eventually. Mingo said he worked for more than four years and was never received a paycheck. He ended up resigning from the job due because he wasn’t paid. He then sued Dupri for back pay, loss of income and damages. Dupri fired back and counter-sued his ex-assistant denying the allegations he screwed his former friend out of wages. He explained Mingo reached out to him and asked for a job as an independent music producer. He told his friend that he could use his studio for free and also live in the complex due to the man not having a home. Dupri argued Mingo was an independent worker and not employed by him due to him working for various record labels and being able to make his own schedule. Then on August 18th … the judge presiding over the case came back with his decision and sided with the former assistant by shutting down Dupri’s attempt to dismiss the case. The judge says that Dupri exercised significant control over Mingo and the facts show the producer owned the music studio where Mingo worked out of and had the power to hire and fire employees. Despite Dupri’s claim the man wasn’t his personal assistant, the judge notes that regardless of the title given to him by the producer, he did in fact complete tasks associated with an assistant. The judge notes Dupri controlled Mingo’s work schedule and conditions of employment and the employee had to be available 24/7. Further, he says the evidence does show that he wasn’t paid a dime and was dependent on Dupri as a result. He ordered that Dupri’s motion to toss the case completely is denied due to the evidence thus far showing Mingo has a case to pursue against the producer. The lawsuit will continue on with the ex-assistant pursuing damages for the 4 years of allegedly unpaid work he performed for the producer.

Yes, Swift actually attended and gave all of the fellow jurors a huge shock in the process. How would you feel if you walked in to do jury duty and the one of the biggest stars on the planet was waiting to do the same thing? The mind really boggles. Everyone was probably pretty star-struck at the shock of crossing paths with Swift. Swift was happy to rise to the occasion and take selfies with the crowd. It even resulted in a video with her doing shout outs to the family members of one of the jurors. The video didn't stop there. She also gave out road safety advice to the family members. It's all pretty bizarre, but great at the same time. Alas, it wasn't all fun and games. Swift was excused from her duties after learning the severity of the crime. Ken Whitehouse, a spokesman for the Davidson County district attorney general’s office, said Swift couldn't take part due to her ongoing sexual assault lawsuit against David Mueller. “She asked to be left off out of concern for an upcoming trial in Denver where she was – she used the term – ‘groped’ by a fan at a meet-and-greet,” said Whitehouse. This guy and any other person who defends a dog after it has killed a human for “teasing” it is as dumb as a box of nails… Straight up! actionnewsjax.com : Four dogs were removed from an Eastside home Friday night after police say a man died as the result of an animal attack. The dog’s owner is defending his pets and took us inside his backyard where the attack happened. The dogs’ owner, Lephus Felton, believes his dogs were provoked before the attack. But Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators and neighbors that we spoke with say that wasn’t the case. “My dogs ain’t no vicious dogs. They’re vicious to protect this yard,” Felton said. Felton owns the four dogs. Our crew watched animal control officers remove the dogs from Felton’s home off Van Buren and Jessie streets. “My dog is trained to protect this yard I have signs, beware of dog signs, all over,” Felton said. Felton showed us where the deadly attack happened in his backyard. “It happened right here. How are they going to get him and pull him back in?” Felton said. Felton said the unidentified victim, a man police say is in his 60s, provoked the animals. But witnesses tell Action News Jax and JSO investigators the victim was taking out the garbage at this dumpster behind Felton’s yard when the dogs went under this fence and dragged him back here, killing him. “Looks like they went underneath the fence by all accounts we have,” said JSO Sgt. C.H. Ford. “No. How are they going to do that there?” said Felton. Felton said the only time his dogs have shown signs of aggression is if passersby would tease them. JSO said it is too soon to tell which dogs actually attacked and what will happen to them.
