New Miley Cyrus Tattoo Supports Gay Marriage, Equality

It’s small, but important and effective and it forces us to give major props to Miley Cyrus. The singer Tweeted the words “All LOVE is Equal,” last night, along with her new tattoo, which is an equal sign. Check it out below: Cyrus has made her views on gay marriage well known over the years. She spoke out against Carrie Prejean in 2009 and she brought up the topic in contrast with the Casey Anthony verdict a few weeks ago. In this example, someone disagreed with Miley over Twitter, which prompted the following response: “where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t. GOD is the only judge honey. ‘GOD is love.'”

Casey Anthony Leaving Jail

Wearing blue jeans and a bright pink top, Casey Anthony, 25, walked out of the front door of the Orange County Booking and Release Center in Orlando, Fla., at 12:14 a.m. Sunday. “She had a look of relief on her face,” said Tony Zumbado, a photographer selected by the jail to witness her release. “There was a smile on her face. She looked glad to be out of there.” Just after midnight, as hundreds of protesters jeered and called her a baby killer, Casey Anthony became a free woman. She had been

Casey Anthony Supporters Sending Her Moral Support, Cash For Some Reason

Casey Anthony has been receiving plenty of death threats since she was found not guilty of murder last week, but not everybody hates on her. Support and sympathy from strangers has poured in, as has cash – her bank account is benefiting from financial contributors, People reports . Sympathetic admirers, who need to reexamine their lives, have been sending Anthony letters of encouragement – and checks in the mail. As of Thursday, the 25-year-old earned $472.18 from at least 17 different donors, according to Orange County Corrections Department records. That’s a drop in the bucket compared to the amounts she’s going to be sued for imminently, but every little bit helps when you’re flat broke. Texas Equusearch, for one, is suing Casey Anthony for more than $100,000 to recoup the money they spent searching for Caylee Anthony. Since Casey was convicted of lying to law enforcement authorities four different times, the company certainly has grounds to go after her. In any case, Anthony, who does not appear to know the donors, has spent some money and will keep the rest when she’s released July 17 . Anthony bought deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, eyeliner, hair ties, premium chicken breasts, peanuts and jalape

Casey Anthony Video Deemed "Too Inflammatory" For Trial May Soon Be Released

A judge is considering whether to unseal a video of Casey Anthony considered so inflammatory that it would have infringed upon her right to a fair trial. The jailhouse video shows Anthony reacting to news reports that a child’s body had been found in a swampy area near the family’s Florida property. The tape reportedly shows Casey doubled over and hyperventilating when Orange County jail officials reveal that a body was found near the home. Too inflammatory to be played for a jury? What the heck is on that tape? It’s not like the videos that were played (such as below) were flattering … Casey Anthony Jail Video At the time of the December 11, 2008 video, the body was not yet identified as the remains of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony. The court took what is called an “unusual step” and sealed the video on June 17, 2009 claiming the public seeing it would violate Casey’s rights. The court “could not absolutely protect the defendant’s right to a fair trial” if the “inflammatory” tape got out, according to the order to seal it . Casey Anthony was found not guilty last week of charges of killing Caylee and is now scheduled to be released from jail this Sunday night. Regarding the video and whether it will be released now, Orlando television station WKMG-TV Local 6 filed the request to unseal the tape. WKMG-TV made the request July 6, arguing “that with the jury is sequestered, no prejudice to the defendant’s right to a fair trial could incur.” While other pieces of evidence could be seen as damaging, the court said “no other item … would carry a similar inflammatory impact.” If released, the tape could spark more outrage surrounding the verdict. Casey Anthony death threats have been common in recent days. In the past week, the jury , Anthony family and Judge Belvin Perry have received threats regarding the case in addition to Casey herself. Anthony’s highly-anticipated release from jail on Sunday has already prompted concerns for her safety and calls for extra protection.

Bill Maher on Casey Anthony Verdict: Akin to Republicans!

Bill Maher is rarely afraid to speak his mind. The comedian lost his ABC program, Politically Incorrect , in 2002 when he said Americans were “cowards” for “lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away,” while the terrorists on board the 9/11 planes were “not cowardly.” Now, the talk show host is creating a scandalous stir once again. On HBO’s Real Time Friday night, Maher compared the verdict in the Casey Anthony trial to “Republican thinking.” His reasoning? Bill Maher Compares Republicans to Casey Anthony Jurors “[Half of American voters] say ‘I’m with the party that cuts all these programs for real people, for the 99 percent. Planned Parenthood, environmental protection, college, health care, infrastructure, but holds the line on private jets.’ Voting for them is as stupid as voting not guilty for the mom who lost her baby for a month and went looking at a wet t-shirt contest… “Yes, Republican base, you are just like that jury. It’s pathetically clear who’s killing the middle class but you keep letting them get away with murder..” Watch the full monologue above and decide: Did Maher go too far?

Kristen Stewart on Casey Anthony Comparisons: Please Stop!

No matter where you stand on the Casey Anthony verdict , this much is certain: there’s a much better chance this Florida native is a murderer than Kristen Stewart. Therefore, it’s easy to understand where the Twilight Saga star is coming from when she says: please, please stop comparing me to Anthony. A source tells Us Weekly that Stewart is sick of the chatter over whether or not she’ll portray Anthony in the inevitable movie about that likely killer’s life. “Her people are really annoyed about the Casey Anthony comparisons,” says the insider, who acknowledges the physical resemblance. “Kristen wants that talk to blow over soon because it looks really bad.” Is there any chance Stewart would take the role? Any chance at all? Heck no, says the mole. “She would never for no amount of money portray that girl. It’s grossing her out. All those entertainment shows are doing polls and what not and her people just want it to stop!” [Photos: WENN.com]

THG Asks: Did the Casey Anthony Jury Get it Right?

Welcome to THG Asks, a feature in which two of our celebrity gossip experts debate topical issues in the entertainment world and you decide who wrote the winning argument! Today, THG Asks : Did the jury in the Casey Anthony case get it right? YES by Hilton Hater I firmly believe Casey Anthony is guilty. But I don’t know this for a fact. I wouldn’t bet my life on it. Would you? That’s the decision jurors were faced with in this case; heck, in any court case. A strong suspicion isn’t enough, a hatred for the defendant doesn’t suffice, a number of lies and conflicting stories don’t add up to the one key element missing here: EVIDENCE. Can you tell me how Caylee died? Is there DNA that links Casey to the scene? Is there anything beyond (admittedly grotesque) stories of how Casey partied soon after her daughter disappeared and her searches for terms such as “chloroform” online? Our court system places an extreme burden of proof on the prosecution because the last thing anyone wants is for an innocent person to be convicted. Jury members are instructed to take the words “beyond a reasonable doubt” very seriously. A killer has almost definitely walked free. Nancy Grace has been given opportunities to rant like an attention-starved lunatic. Both results are regrettable. But, given a lack of hard evidence, I’m not sure what we could do to change them.
