Ryan Murphy Confirms Javier Bardem on Glee

Javier Bardem may have jumped the gun last week when he announced that he would “rock the house” on a season two episode of Glee , since both 20th Century Fox and Cory Monteith hadn’t yet heard about the casting coup, but now creator Ryan Murphy is confirming the rumor: “[That’s] something we’ll probably do in the first half of the season.” As for the possibility that Murphy will reunite with his other Oscar-winning _Eat, Pray, Love_star, he said, “No, Julia [Roberts] will not be doing the show.” [ Access Hollywood ]

‘Hulk Is Bigger Than All of Us’: Edward Norton Offers a Facebook Franchise Farewell

You won’t like Edward Norton when he’s conciliatory. Fresh off a weekend of he said/he said mudslinging , the erstwhile green menace has apparently decided to act like Bruce Banner even though he can’t play him. Norton has taken to Facebook to post a note to his fans — many of whom apparently actually cared for The Incredible Hulk — expressing regret that he’ll lay down the tattered purple sweats in The Avengers . After the jump, take a look Norton’s mannered and utterly vanilla response and imagine a world where the casting decisions for a Marvel feature don’t take up 72 hours of your time.

Is J.J. Abrams Pretending to Make a Fake Movie as Cover for Super 8?

Are those super-hot 13-year-old girls who are readying their headshots for the Super 8 casting call actually auditioning for a different , J.J. Abrams-produced movie? According to The Playlist , the new issue of Production Weekly claims that the leaked casting information was for another project, but I’m guessing the industry trade has merely stumbled on Abrams’s plan to keep Super 8 secret, because the potentially fake front movie makes this casting call even more inappropriate.

Katee Sackhoff on 24 and the Unlikely Thrill of Being Waterboarded

Katee Sackhoff is a self-admitted thrill junkie — that’s why she was a perfect fit for the daredevil pilot Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica , and it’s what made her casting on the final season of 24 sound like a no-brainer. Still, her character Dana Walsh hasn’t always had an easy time of it; during the first half of the season, she was often stuck in a subplot involving a no-good ex-boyfriend, and it’s only recently that Sackhoff’s gotten to show off her action-packed bona fides as Dana was revealed to be this season’s obligatory, villainous mole. In advance of tonight’s episode, Movieline spoke to the always-candid actress to get her own feelings about her character’s arc and to hear about the torturous stunt she couldn’t wait to do herself.

Courtney Love Shoots Down Robert Pattinson Casting Rumor as "Stupid"

He hasn’t given an interview or done much press in awhile, but Robert Pattinson is at the center of two new rumors. The first is clearly ridiculous: sorry, Gossip Girl fans, but the Twilight Saga star did NOT hook up with Leighton Meester . As for talk that Pattinson was Courtney Love’s first choice to play Kurt Cobain in a movie about the late rocker, the former Hole singer has halted this casting possibility in its track. “Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offense [to Pattinson],” Love told The Canadian Press. “I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenage girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time.
