The Hunger Games has landed another Oscar nominee. With Philip Seymour Hoffman already on board Catching Fire in the key role of Plutarch Heavensbee, Lionsgate has confirmed that Julianne Moore will portray President Alma Coin in the final two installments of the franchise, Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2. The character is the stoic leader of Katniss and company’s rebellion against the Capitol. Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 will be released in November 2014 and 2015, respectively. Other casting items related to the film include: Natalie Dormer as Cressida . Stef Dawson as Annie Cresta. Evan Ross as Messalla.

Great news this week out of Good Morning America. Robin Roberts will resume her full-time duties with the program following Labor Day, making the announcement in an interview with Vanity Fair and joking about how she’s managing to sneak in one more four-day work week due to the holiday. Robin Roberts to Make Full-Time GMA Return The anchor underwent a bone marrow transplant last September after she was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder. She returned to Good Morning American in February, after taking more than six months of medical leave and has slowly been working her way back up to regular status, even interviewing Michelle Obama along the way. She also hosted ABC’s red carpet coverage of the Academy Awards and received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPYs in July. Farrah Abraham will not play any role on Days of Our Lives, despite reports that she auditioned to play a hooker , which did seem to make sense logically. Abraham definitely did try to secure the part of call girl Destiny on the long-running NBC soap opera, but a new report says she will play no part on it . “That is false,” a rep for the soap opera said regarding the casting rumors. The audition tape has surfaced online, however, and it’s hilarious. Watch: Farrah Abraham Audition Tape Yeah. At least she can swear and play with her hair a lot. So convincing! Farrah Abraham auditioned for the soap opera part earlier this year, and the above video “leaked” much like her “private” sex tape with James Deen did. Overall, her acting is pretty terrible, but at least she can fall back on her singing career (see below) if all else goes south for her down the line. Amanda Bynes is at it again on Twitter, this time slamming Jenny McCarthy of all people after the Playboy legend expressed genuine concern for her. Last night, Jenny heard from an unreliable source (Jonathan Jaxson) on Twitter that police were knocking down Amanda’s door in fear for her life. After passing along the rumor – which no reliable site, THG included, even bothered running – out of true concern for Bynes, Amanda let her have it: “I need help?” she Tweeted at Jenny. What are u talking about? Aren’t u 50 years old? I’m 27, u look 80 compared to me! Why are you talking about me?” “You’re ugly! Police weren’t at my house old lady! Shut the f–k up!” We know Amanda Bynes only has hot friends , and has a thing against “ugly” people, but has she seen Jenny McCarthy? Hottest would-be friend ever! It’s unclear why “ugly” has become Mandy’s default word when lashing out at “haters,” but Jenny, to her credit, responded to Amanda with a simple apology: “@AmandaBynes sorry girl. Looking out for ya.” To which Amanda cheerfully replied, obviously: “@JennyMcCarthy thanks! I’m sorry if I offended you! You’re beautiful! I was lying! I’ll delete our tweets!” That was nice of her, we suppose … of course, the original tirade was totally unnecessary as McCarthy, 40, was only expressing positive wishes. Then again, trying to apply logic to this particular human being is akin to expecting Lindsay Lohan to be contrite and take responsibility for her actions. Is Minka Kelly the perfect choice for the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey? She’s the latest sexy actress to be rumored for the coveted part. The former Friday Night Lights star has supposedly caught the casting director’s eye, which is not a shock given her gorgeous eyes, lips, and body. Can she act well enough to command that kind of part, though? Her FNL role gives her plenty of cred, as it was one of the best shows ever. But she also hasn’t done all that much since, beyond date Derek Jeter and be hot. There are also a ton of other names under consideration for Ana Steele, some of whom bring more star power than Minka, and others who bring less.
