A Pennsylvania woman reportedly stabbed her boyfriend with a box cutter before threatening to kill him because he failed to get her a birthday gift, according to the New York Post on Friday. A woman by the name of Georgia Zowacki had been drinking vodka on her 55th birthday on Wednesday when she is said to have stormed into her live-in boyfriend David Rea’s room in West Newton, allegedly proceeding to slash his arm and hold the weapon to his throat, police told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette . Rea, who met Zowacki two months ago, didn’t completely forget his girlfriend’s birthday–He had taken her out for a meal earlier in the day, but didn’t buy her a gift, a card or any cake, according to cops. Zowacki was also furious that nobody else had gotten her a gift, according to the paper. “She stabs me four times. Then she went to my neck and said, ‘I’m going to kill you,’ ” Rea told cops following the incident. “She got very belligerent.” During the attack, the birthday girl allegedly trashed her boyfriend’s room, smashed his television, and bolted, according to the paper. Georgia Zowacki was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.

But Ellen isn’t the only celebrity giving Akbar and his foundation a helping hand. Oprah Winfrey made a surprise visit to West Side High School on Friday, dropping in to say she is giving $500,000 to West Side’s summer initiative, which is also held during the school year on Friday nights. “I heard about West Side and all of the great things that are happening here,” Winfrey said to a packed gymnasium. “I thought, ‘what can I do?’” She continued, saying, “I was moved by his story…Let me find this guy. Let me see what I can do to help further what he’s trying to do.” Winfrey–who came along with her longtime BFF and CBS co-anchor Gayle King, even had something extra for the kids. Everyone who was at the “Lights On” program would receive a $50 gift certificate to go shopping, as well. Students have said that their school is often maligned for having a reputation as a place where fights occur–but thank to Principal Cook and his staff, that narrative is changing. Senator Cory Booker has even tweeted about the principal, praising him during Black History Month as someone who should be admired. Oprah talked about the principal’s impact during her surprise appearance, praising his efforts and saying, “Everybody always talks about the grades. You can’t start to talk about the grades unless they feel safe, unless they feel seen, unless they feel respected, unless they feel valued.”
Have you noticed something unusual about the ongoing Jenelle Evans custody case? No, sadly, it isn’t that Child Protection Services swooped in this week and left with Jenelle’s two young kids (Ensley, 2; and Kaiser, 4), along with David Eason’s daughter from a previous relationship, 11-year old Maryssa. Those who have followed Jenelle and David’s marriage for any period of time have been aware that this was always a possibility. Their home is inarguably a danger zone, considering all the guns Eason keeps around; the fact that he used one to shoot and kill the family’s dog a couple weeks ago; and also the strong likelihood that he assaulted Jenelle while drunk last October. The only real surprise in this situation is that authorities didn’t remove the young children earlier. What is unexpected to some, however, is how quiet Evans has remained throughout the ordeal. Go take a look at Jenelle’s Twitter feed and you’ll notice links to a few celebrity gossip stories around the Internet. How has she not lashed out? How has she not been ranting and raving over the removal of her sons and stepdaughter? It’s simple, really: Because she isn’t allowed to. According to Radar Online, the North Carolina judge in charge of Jenelle’s case has ordered her and her dog-murdering husband to abide by a gag order. They are legally banned from discussing this legal issue in public. For those just catching up: Eason has admitted to killing the family pet, Nugget, because he alleged that the small dog lunged at his two-year old daughter and placed her in danger. This was merely the latest in a long line of ugly and violent incidents, but it garnered national attention because people love dogs and because it was so nasty, brutal and unnecessary. We mean, Eason beat little Nugget bloody and senseless with his bare hands before taking the canine into the woods and putting a bullet into it. Just so very disgusting all around. Considering the uproar around the attack, MTV finally fired Evans from Teen Mom 2 and then Child Protective Services did a wellness check and determined that the kids living with Eason and Evans were not safe in their home. (Jenelle’s nine-year old son, Jace, is remaining with his grandmother, which is where he lives on a typical basis anyway.) On Friday, Jenelle and Eason were spotted holding hands outside of a North Carolina home after a judge adjourned their case for the day and said the custody hearing would continue next week. It’s conceivable that the case may not be resolved for several months, if not even a full year, with Jenelle’s kids being kept away from her during this time. “She’s sick over everything,” a source close to the reality star has told Radar Online, adding: “Her stomach is upside down, she has anxiety, she’s not eating. She doesn’t know what to do. It’s hard.” This may be so. Even for someone as seemingly self-centered and irresponsible as Jenelle Evans, the reality of actually losing your kids must be devastating. And yet…. there’s a step Evans could maybe take that would put her kids back in her arms a lot sooner than later. She just doesn’t seem willing to make it. Which is to say: She could finally divorce Eason. Legal insiders have stated that making it clear her children will no longer be in the presence of this violent bigot would carry heavy weight with the judge. It may be the only way she has her family back under her roof some time this calendar year. Tragically, however, Evans has exhibited all the signs of an abuse victim who is incapable of walking away from her abuser. Well, that didn’t take very long. Just a matter of days, in fact. After initially offering up some nice words to Meghan Markle after the Duchess of Sussex welcomed her first child on May 6, Samantha Markle has returned to accusing her half-sister of being selfish and insensitive. In an interview with Mirror, Samantha pleaded with Meghan to let their dad, Thomas Markle, actually see his grandson at some point in the near future. “It’s sad. He should have been involved. Being excluded is like a dagger through his heart,” Samantha said of her father’s lack of inclusion in the pregnancy and the birth, adding to the British publication: “Poor Master Archie is not getting to know a creative, loving person.” This has been a running, irritating theme from Samantha for several months now. She has taken every opportunity possible to lash out at Meghan, alleging that the Duchess has basically been a mean jerk for cutting their farher out of her life. He buys toys, plays creative games, he’s funny and nurturing and communicative with them.” For his part, Thomas at least said the right things shortly after Archie came into the world. “I’m delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well,” he told The Mirror, adding: “I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain… “My congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry.” He sort of sounds over his issues with Meghan, but Samantha refuses to let them go. Say this about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: They are nothing if not reliable. One week after welcoming their fourth child (via surrogate), the world famous couple has announced the little boy’s name… … and it may not be Bear, as some social media users had suspected , but it is highly unusual. Are you ready, readers? Are you ready to say hello to PSALM WEST?!? Kardashian revealed her fourth child’s name on Twitter and Instagram this afternoon, several days after simply telling the world that “he’s here and he’s perfect.” She did so in form of a text conversation with her husband, as you can see below: “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need,” West wrote, to which Kim simply wrote “Psalm West.” And now this question is answered. Psalm joins siblings North, Saint and Chicago in a family full of kids whose names are also nouns. That’s not a statement of judgment, it’s just a fact. Prior to this announcement, folks had started to believe that child number-four would be named “Bear” because Kim had included a bear emoji along with photos from her recent baby shower. The mother of four followed her baby name reveal a few minutes later with an update on the week-old, adding simply: “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.” Psalm was born via surrogate on May 9, 2019. He siblings are aged five, three and 16 months. In April, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said she was considering naming her son after her brother, Rob Kardashian. “But then it’s like, North, Saint, Chicago, Rob,” Kim told Jimmy Kimmel at the time while a guest on his talk show. “It doesn’t really go. I really was feeling like that, or Robert. And my brother approved it, so that’s, like, our one kind of name. I like Rob West.” So do we. But Kim is right: Once you’ve gone with North, Saint and Chicago, you really have no choice but to follow those up with something like… Psalm. As of right now, we don’t believe the child has a middle name. We actually don’t think any of Kim’s kids have a middle name. Will any siblings join this ever-growing immediate family? It doesn’t sound that way. “Kim and Kanye have known for awhile and are very excited. They had one male embryo left and are thrilled it has worked out,” a source previously told E! News, adding back then: “Kim always wanted four kids and having two boys and two girls feels perfect. “They were very happy with the entire experience the first time and are so grateful to have one more baby.” As for how she and Kanye arrived at the name Psalm? Kim has not yet said. However, she did try to explain the process to Kimmel a short while back: “We all weigh in. I definitely take a family survey, but it’s usually after the baby’s born and we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like. “I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me.” So we guess this one looks like a Psalm, huh? A-Ha! One mahor Royal Mystery has officially been solved. Almost two weeks removed from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcoming their first child into the world, Kensington Palace has made Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s birth certificate available to the public. Yes, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor . We may still need a little while to get used to that name. Regardless, however, the document that confirms he actually exists does list a couple of interesting tidbits on it. For starters, the little one was born at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster. The whereabouts of just where Meghan and Harry went for this blessed event was kept under wraps until now, with some outlets writing that Markle was even considering going WAY against Royal Tradition and going with a home birth. But she thought better of it in the end. As for what else the certificate tells us? One interesting note is that this paper lists Meghan’s official job title as “Princess of the United Kingdom.” (Harry’s is listed as “Prince of the United Kingdom.”) A former star on the USA Network legal drama Suits, Markle worked as an actress for many years. However, she was forced to give this line of work up when she fell in love with a Royal. Her official title is Duchess of Sussex, but now we know that her occupation is apparently that of “princess,” whatever that entails exactly. As also mentioned on this certificate, Archie Harrison was born on May 6 at 5:26 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. He is seventh in the line to the British throne, but his parents are determined to give him a normal childhood. As normal as possible under their circumstances, that is. Along those lines, however, they’ve moved away from Kensington Palace in favor of a home in the country, Frogmore Cottage; and they’ve opted not to give Archie a royal title . Naturally, and sadly, Markle has been criticized already for these decisions. Some Brits will simply hate her forever. But at least Harry loves his wife very much, along with the child they’ve created together through sexual intercourse. “As every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon,” the Prince said in his first remarks about Archie. “He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm,” Meghan later added. Meghan and Harry got married in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May of 2018. These are tough times in the life of pop icon Britney Spears. At this point, it doesn’t appear that the situation is as dire as Britney’s infamous 2007 meltdown , but that’s only because the singer is older, wiser, and surrounded by a slightly better support network. Back in April, Spears checked into a mental health facility , ostensibly because she was distraught over her father’s potentially fatal health issues. Now, it appears that the situation is more complicated than that. Reports of Britney’s efforts to bring an end to the conservatorship that has governed for life for over a decade have brought about a resurgence of the #FreeBritney movement, which was initially created over 10 years ago by fans concerned for Spears’ well-being. It now looks as though the 37-year-old may have been committed against her will, and it seems that parties who do not have her best interest at heart are going to great lengths to maintain control over her life. Sadly it seems that Spears can no longer trust her father, who is the main executor of the conservatorship. And she was recently forced to file for a restraining order against Sam Lufti, an ex-manager whose efforts to exploit Spears for financial gain have been well-documented. Britney is clearly fighting a battle for her freedom against some very stiff opposition. But fortunately, she’s not doing it entirely on her own. On Thursday, Spears posted a photo of herself smiling alongside boyfriend Sam Asghari. She captioned the pic, “I love this man.” Fans found encouragement in the pic for a number of reasons: For one thing, it’s good to see Spears smiling again. More importantly, it’s reassuring to know that she and Sam are still going strong, as many Spears worshippers consider this to be her healthiest relationship to date. And Britney will need all the help she can get in the months to come. TMZ previously reported that Britney’s mom is going to war on her daughter’s behalf and has joined the battle to bring the conservatorship to an end. We have an update on the tragic death of Ashley Massaro . As previously reported, the former WWE Diva and Survivor: China contestant was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning after paramedics responded to a call for help. Massaro was reportedly found unconscious at her home in New York after she failed to show up for her job at a local radio station. Despite the best efforts of emergency medical technicians on the scene, Massaro did not survive. She died at the age of 39. At the time of this initial report, few details were available regarding exactly what transpired — but The Blast has now published a statement from Shelly Martinez (who wrestled as Ariel), in which this close pal of Massaro’s says the following: “My best friend from the wrestling business died from suicide two days after responding to 300+ fan letters. She was the happiest I have seen her in years, so stoked that people still cared about her 11 years after her career was over. “There are no signs. It comes without warning. If you are going through the worst shit in your life, just know that you are not alone. PLEASE seek help.” Martinez is referring here to a recent Tweet from Massaro, where she showed off a pile of fan letters and wrote as a caption: “Just answered a ton of fanmail so you guys should be receiving them soon!” Prior to her suicid, Ashley Massaro had been part of a class action lawsuit against the WWE in which 60 wrestlers accused the company of failing to protect its employees from repeated head trauma and concussions that eventually led to long-term brain damage. The lawsuit was dismissed last year after a judge deemed it “frivolous” and ruled that some of the claims occurred past the statute of limitations. However, it was appealed shortly after and is still ongoing. Therefore, Martinez may be a bit off base when she says that Massaro taking her life came out of nowhere. It sounds as if she was actually in a lot of pain. According to the affidavit, Massaro says she was “literally knocked out cold for five minutes,” and says afterward of how WWE responded: “Not only did I not receive treatment, but I was told to brush it off.” Massaro claimed to have “sustained multiple concussions” throughout her wrestling career, along with “hairline fracture in my spine and sustained numerous back injuries.” She was “ultimately diagnosed with herniated discs in C4 and C5 of my vertebrae.” In the affidavit, which Massaro wrote in 2017, she explained: “Aside from my on-going physical injuries that were sustained in the ring, and my former battle with addiction, to this day I suffer from depression, for which I take medication; migraine headaches; and severe short-term memory loss.” Massaro was the first winner of the WWE Diva Search before retiring from the company in 2008. She left behind an 18-year old daughter named Alex who has shared a tribute and a couple of photos of herself and her mother in the wake of this tragedy. “i wish i could have gotten more recent pictures,” she wrote along with the following image, for example. She later added: “i love you mommy i want to wake up in your arms more than anything i want to give u a big hug please come back this cant be real.” Just so tragic all around. As authorities continue to investigate what happened, those who knew Ashley are in mourning. “She is so much more than her image,” Leslie Nease, a fellow Survivor contestant and friend, told People Magazine. “After we were both voted off we spent hours in deep conversation for several days. She had a very soft and kind side. I am so thankful I was able to see that and know her that way.” Added Torrie Wilson, who wrestled alongside Ashley in the WWE: “I can’t even begin to explain how devastated I am to hear about [Ashley Massaro] – legit one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. “When we fall into a dark place it can seem like it will never change but if you are there PLEASE keep hope & reach out for help.” Amen.
