Source: Peter Dazeley / Getty Trans Woman Sues Cobb County Police For Sexual Harassment A transgender woman is suing Atlanta-are Cobb County police department for sexually harassing her and outed her as transgender to the other inmates according to the AJC . Sierra Castle says Cobb County officers refused to put her with female inmates, denied her her medication and ignored her requests for medical attention while in custody. “I was afraid. I was embarrassed. I was humiliated,” Castle told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Peep how f**ked up this is. Sierra went to the police station to file a report about a traffic accident that damaged her car. While at the station her license plate was run and it was revealed that there was a warrant for her arrest for a $15 seat belt fine. While on the way to jail, Sierra says she got nervous about her gender and told the transpo officer that she was trans even though she has had full reassignment surgery and legally changed her name. “I honestly don’t think I should have even said anything, but I was nervous,” she recalled. “I’m not someone who goes to jail. I was scared.” Sierra says that when the officers at the station were told they began to laugh, pat her down inappropriately, changed the gender on her wristband to “male” and altered her records in the system. Dirty game. Sounds like Cobb County is about to either settle big time or pay out a LOT of money.

The bill, which passed in December and aims to reduce the number of incarcerated people. Trump said Monday that a “Second Step Act” will focus on “successful re-entry and reduced unemployment for Americans with past criminal records.” He noted that ex-convicts with criminal backgrounds are unemployed at rates up to five times the national average. In fact, African-American male felons are more disadvantaged than any other demographic group. He touted passage of the First Step Act during his State of the Union Address in February, but details of the measure were worked out by a bipartisan coalition of lawmakers and President Barack Obama before Trump took office. As the national movement to restore felon voting rights picks up steam, Trump likely sees an opportunity to capitalize on the votes of Black felons and their families who benefit from his proposed legislation. At the press conference, Trump called Gregory Allen , who was released from prison early under the First Step Act, to the microphone. The Iowa House last Thursday overwhelmingly passed a proposed constitutional amendment to grant voting rights to the ex-convicts. Alabama’s felons displayed the power of their newly restored rights in the 2017 election that helped to sweep Democrat Doug Jones into the U.S. Senate in one the nation’s reddest states. The biggest prize would be in the swing state of Florida where a 2018 referendum restored felon voting rights . Up to 1.4 million felons—disproportionately African-American—regained their rights to cast ballots under the referendum, reversing an 18th-century law that made it nearly impossible for felons to vote after serving their time in prison. Florida, which has banned more felons from voting than any other state, was blocking 21.5 percent of African-Americans from casting ballots , achieving the goals of felony disenfranchisement laws that were historically intended to reduce Black voting power . Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff may seem like one of the happiest famous couples out there. But each writes in the couple’s brand new book about past troubles in their marriage. And not just basic, harmless troubles, either — we’re talking soul-altering sins that caused both Jeremy and Audrey to question their values, their morals and the overwhelming desires present in their private parts. We’re not really kidding. First, as previously outlined, Audrey wrote openly in “A Love Letter Life,” the tandem’s memoir that just went on sale today, about how she and Jeremy engaged in some naked behavior prior to getting married. They didn’t have sex, no. But they did engage in some impure actions that involved a bathing suit . Naughty, right? Yes, if you are a devoted Catholic, as Jeremy and Audrey have often claimed to be and have often written and talked about with their social media followers. Now, the former Little People, Big World cast member is here to delve into his own shame; to explain to readers that he isn’t the wholesome and clean-cut husband he’s maybe always come across as on television or on Instagram. Jeremy, too, has sinned. When he first started dating Audrey, Roloff writes in this book that he was “failing behind the computer screen,” explaining in more detail: “I had wandering eyes when it came to risqué images and social media profiles I had no business looking at.” In other words: Jeremy liked porn. However, Roloff somehow argues here that he wasn’t into porn in the traditional sense. That is, the naked sense. “I know many men who excuse their porn habit because there is no nudity,” says Jeremy. “But the sin of porn can happen in the mind with or without articles of clothing, no matter whether it’s on an Instagram feed or an explicit website.” Ummm… okay then? We’re not entirely sure how porn can “happen in the mind,” unless Jeremy simply means here that he used to picture women naked in his head. This is also known simply as being a male . But Jeremy was ashamed of the behavior. The father of one says in the memoir that about once a month, he would become “lazy, bored or stressed,” and scroll naughty websites. “I realized I was a hypocrite,” he admits. “I said I believed one thing but acted out another in secret, and I was breaking down, whether or not I recognized it.” To be clear, Jeremy wasn’t acting out any lewd fantasies or actively doing anything untoward… unless you consider perusing some websites to fall into this category. Which Jeremy evidently does. After kicking the habit for a bit, Roloff tells readers he grew stressed as a result of his 2014 wedding — and got bitten once again by the adult entertainment bug. “The parasitical sin had not vanished,” he actually writes. At this point, he sought help in his local Bent, Oregon church group. “It was here that I found a pastor who wouldn’t stand for unrepented, habitual sin,” says Jeremy, adding: “He called me out and set me straight as he explained the Biblical truths about someone who refuses to turn from sin and walk in righteousness.” Jeremy also opened up at last to Audrey. He told her everything. And it nearly ended their relationship. “When I saw the look of betrayal in her eyes, I felt mournfully sorry. Tears ran down her beautiful face. ‘Why Jer?’ she asked. ‘Why?’” he recalls in the book. (NOTE: Perhaps this explains why Audrey once posed nude in a bathtub ; to give her husband something to ogle at without feeling guilty.) Thankfully, The couple worked through their issues and later welcomed daughter Ember in 2017. But the end was nigh there for a little bit. “Audrey was devastated. My behavior had fractured our trust, scarred our intimacy, and broken our unity,” he writes. These days, Jeremy isn’t touching the keys on his computer screen any longer in an attempt to look for sexy women. This is racist at it’s core, but if you’re someone who loves guacamole and avocado toast more than you care about what happens to human beings, perhaps this will strike fear into your soulless existence. According to DailyMail , almost 50% of vegetables and 40% of fruits that are imported into America are grown in Mexico. Let Steve Barnard, president and chief executive of Mission Produce, tell it, we would only have enough avocado for three weeks worth of green cool, creamy dip. A complete shutdown would ultimately cost the U.S. $137 billion in trade imports. ‘When a border is closed or barriers to trade are put in place, I absolutely expect there would be an impact on consumers,’ said Monica Ganley, principal at Quarterra, a consultancy specializing in Latin American agricultural issues and trade. ‘We’re absolutely going to see higher prices. This is a very real and very relevant concern for American consumers.’ Mexico also is said to be a major importer of fossil fuels that are created here in America.
