Is it too late? Folks have had enough of “Basketball Wives” making a mockery of black women on TV and Shaunie O’Neal, Vh1 and Shed Media are now making promises that may be hard to keep — no more physical violence on the show. We know Jen must be relieved she won’t be getting smacked on camera anymore! Peep the full statements below. From Shaunie O’Neal: “This has definitely been a heated season. “Basketball Wives” is filled with a lot of strong personalities with months, weeks, days and hours condensed into about 45 minutes each episode. Unfortunately, a lot of these personalities have clashed and let their opinions and emotions overwhelm them which has at times gotten the best of them, escalating into physical confrontations. As this group has been blessed with strong, smart, independent, sassy women with as much passion as vocabulary, there’s NO excuse for physical violence. So the cast, SHED Media and Vh1 have done a gut check, to stop allowing physical violence demoralize the show and impose a no-physical violence policy. Personally, I almost didn’t come back to the show but I thought it was important for this to be said as some of the past actions this season I have not agreed with, it’s not what I stand for and never have. So moving forward, we have agreed to better the show, still with plenty of drama and fun (how can we help that?!) but with a more responsible attitude all around. This is important for me specifically as an executive and what I do and don’t attach my name to, as a grown woman, and as a positive role model to my kids. “ Nice — but how much fun has this season really been? Especially for poor Jen? Here’s the statement from SHED Media: “Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the Basketball Wives in a balanced way. Our producing partner Shaunie O’Neal feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance. We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a non-violent fashion,” reports Shed. “We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season.” And this is what Vh1 had to say: “Lately, there has been a lot of conversation about Basketball Wives, a series featuring strong, intelligent women with very passionate viewpoints which can sometimes escalate. We at VH1 agree with and support Shaunie and the show producers’ “no excessive physical confrontations” policy on the series moving forward,” reports VH1. “We are all committed to balancing the candid, bold excitement that the viewers have come to love in the series with storylines and representations they can be proud of.” Is it too little, too late? And do you even believe them? Continue reading →

Peep what the Sugary one had to say about Mr. Ross: “I can’t sit up here and say I’m bitter to Rick Ross, ‘cus like anybody else, we don’t know Rick Ross,” Suge said. “That’s a guy who uses somebody else’s name. This guy comes from being a correctional officer. I don’t got nothing negative [against him] personally, I just feel like he do do good music, and you can’t take that from him. That boy got bars, he’s gonna write…at the same time, I feel like there’s a line you cross, and Rick Ross crossed that line. If you’re gonna be with guy [Diddy] who killed Tupac, you can’t go turn around and do a record [called] ‘Tupac Back’…Rick Ross is a grown a$$ *****. This brawl was embarrassing as hell to watch: KIRKWOOD (KMOX) — It’s the latest video seen around the world, capturing a huge fight at a St. Louis Community College campus. The incident, which happened Monday, begins with a woman getting into an argument with another woman while holding her young daughter. One of the women begins to attack the woman as she holds the child. Eventually, she backs away and puts the child down and the two really start to go after each other. More fights erupt. At one point, a pile of people rolled around in the bushes while throwing punches at each other. The first woman even shrieks, “Where’s my baby?!?” First faculty members, then campus police step in and try and calm things down. A circle of stunned students stood and watched. Of those involved, three were arrested and charged with assault. Five were expelled from the college. Now, we don’t suggest you turn the page and watch the video to see this debauchery… not before turning down your volume and clearing the kids because these heffa’s are loud!

Lil Wayne Not Allowed To Skate In Peace, So Young Money Goons Spit And Beat Up Thirsty Pap’s… BIKE! [Video] Lil Wayne’s entourage spat in a photog’s face, pushed him to the ground in the rain, then beat the crap out of his bicycle — this according to a police report filed last week in Miami. According to the report, obtained by TMZ, the photog spotted Wayne and his entourage skateboarding outside some church — right beside a “no skateboarding” sign — so he decided to take a few pics. The photog claims Wayne and his boys packed it in after it started to rain — so he followed the group to their car, snapping pics along the way. According to the report, Weezy didn’t much like the attention (as you can see in the video) — so he ordered his goons to take the man’s camera … at which point roughly eight men surrounded him, and intimidated him into deleting several of his photos. You know you are already wondering if the police were called, since they look all white: In the wake of this week’s junior varsity tournament baseball game that ended in a brawl, parents said eight JV players have been suspended and kicked off the Yuba City High School team. Officials at Yuba City Unified School District would not confirm the punishment meted out so far, but parents said they’ve spoken among themselves and many think the punishment was too extreme. “Was our pitcher wrong? Absolutely. Nobody is denying that. However, are our boys supposed to sit back while their whole dugout comes and tackles our pitcher?,” asked parent Stacy Todd, referring to the moment in the game when the pitcher for the Yuba City team threw a baseball at the first base coach after he’d allegedly called the pitcher’s mother an insulting name. Todd’s son Camryn was suspended for five days for admitting he’d thrown a punch during the fracas. She said her son did not expect to be banned from baseball for the season. “He’s devastated. He had no idea he would be kicked off the team,” Todd said. Several students at Yuba City High School said they had mixed feelings about the punishment. “I think he was just defending his mom, but I don’t think he needed to go that far as to throw the ball and rush on the coach,” Yuba City High freshman Lissette Luney said. Meanwhile, veteran umpire Sarjeet Singh said officials have to keep control of a game. “Basically, you have to see those things coming,” Singh said. “Sometimes you don’t, you don’t. But, I feel at the high school level you can see it coming.” RELATED STORY: Districts investigate brawl at youth baseball game Monday’s game at Granite Bay between Del Campo and Yuba City ended in a fight, which for a time was posted on YouTube. In the video, it appears that members of the Yuba City team charge onto the field and fighting erupts. “The administration and adults are ultimately responsible for what occurred on the baseball field,” Singh said. “They have to assume responsibility for the situation and dish out punishment as needed.” Some parents said they believe part of the blame lies on the officiating. There was only one umpire working the game, the normal number for JV baseball. “Certainly, the more adults the better,” San Juan Unified School District spokesperson Trent Allen said. “But, you do have multiple coaches, you have the ump and you hopefully have caring parents, hopefully setting a good example for students.” Although, in the video, a person who appears to be a parent is clearly seen running onto the field. “They’re trying to help,” Singh said. “But, really they’re just fueling the fire… Between the lines, no parent belongs on a baseball diamond!” Investigations by both the Yuba City Unified School District and San Juan Unified School District are underway. If warranted, punishment could range from a single game suspension to expulsion from school. “The consequences that are at hand for this kind of thing would be suspension from school, suspension from the team, being removed from the team, being placed up for expulsion,” Yuba City Unified School District Superintendent Nancy Aaberg said. “Any of our players who came out of the dugout and threw punches would certainly face disciplinary action,” Allen said. “And then, of course, we’ll look at how our adults behaved as well.” Image And Source News10/KXTV More On Bossip!
