Robert Durst Left Cat’s Head On Judge’s Doorstep, Victim Claims

The strange case of Robert Durst continues to get more bizarre by the day. On March 14, Durst was arrested in connection with the 2001 death of his friend Susan Berman. He has since been charged with first-degree murder , meaning that he could face the death penalty if convicted. In the days following his arrest, those who knew Durst best  – or simply encountered him during the decades-long period in which he somehow managed to avoid prosecution – have come forward with strange stories of the real estate heir’s troubling behavior. Earlier this week, Douglas Durst stated that he believes his brother killed seven pet dogs as “practice” before allegedly murdering his wife Kathleen McCormack in 1982. Today, Durst has been accused of another disturbing act of animal mutilation by the former judge who presided over the 2003 trial in which Durst was acquitted of the murder of Morris Black. In an interview with the New York Daily News, Susan Criss recalls making a horrific discovery outside of her home, three years after Durst’s trial concluded. “It was June 29, 2006,” Criss tells the newspaper. “I came home from work around 5 pm, and you can imagine how hot it was. I saw something on the walk that leads straight to my front door. “It was a little gray cat that had been cut behind the shoulders. It was a head with its two front legs…It was not just thrown there, it was placed there. “I believe it was Robert Durst. I know this guy had a history of cutting up his dogs.” Criss says she first ran inside to make sure that Durst had not harmed her dogs. She then called local police, who performed several tests, but were unable to prove that Durst had killed the cat. Criss says she believes Durst left the head as revenge for her testifying against him at his parole hearing. Taylor Swift Shares Bloody Cat Scratch Photo, Jokes About Her $40 Million Legs

Last week we reported that Taylor Swift insured her legs for an insane amount of money. Forty million dollars, to be exact. Swifty has yet to confirm the rumor, but it’s not unheard of for celebs to take out policies on their most valuable physical attributes. But while Taylor may never come out and admit that she’s walking around on the world’s most expensive gams, she was more than happy to joke about her upscale limbs following a recent run-in with one of her beloved felines. Taylor posted the above photo with a caption reading, “GREAT WORK MEREDITH I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS” Meredith, of course, is Meredith Grey – Taylor’s eldest kitty, who’s awesomely named for Ellen Pompeo’s character on Grey’s Anatomy. That scratch might take a few days to heal, but  Taylor and her cats are inseparable, and we’re sure she quickly got over Meredith’s betrayal. After all, every cat owner knows the beasts really only love two things – themselves, and taking up the maximum amount of space on your couch. Meredith’s damage to Taylor’s leg is obviously pretty minor, but it’s resulted in something incredible: The singer’s response is officially the Most Taylor Swift Tweet of All Time. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry aren’t down with each other. And it’s not just the classic blondes verses brunettes thing. It goes much MUCH deeper than that. But now cooler heads may be prevailing. It all started with Taylor’s song “Bad Blood,” which was apparently about Katy. Then Perry hit back with the now famous Mean Girls T weet . Since then, it’s just snowballed. However,  a source close to Swift says that “Taylor has let it be known that she would love to kiss and make up with Katy, but so far she hasn’t gotten any bites.” Swift seems to be in the mood of forgiveness. She recently shared a high five with Kanye at the Grammys (with Katy in frame,btw)… … and she’s even reportedly ready to step into the studio with him sometime this year. But a feud with a boy you’re not dating and a feud with a girl who’s totally dissing you are two very different things. Dascha Polanco: Orange is the New Black Actress Criticized For Exchanging Her Cats for Kittens

In case you don’t recognize the name (And why would you?) Dascha Polanco is the actress who plays Dayanara Diaz on Orange is the New Black. The role was obviously her big break, but if the details of a story that recently leaked online turn out to be true, Polanco could soon be better known for her questionable treatment of pets than for her acting. Dascha stands accused of dumping her two healthy, well-behaved cats off at a shelter so that she could adopt two kittens. To make matters worse, witnesses say Dascha’s cats were dropped off in a beaten-up cardboard box with air holes poked in the side.  The actress had reportedly not called in advance to see if the shelter was accepting new animals and when a clerk told her they were unable to accommodate her cats, Dascha lost it and screamed, “Don’t you know who I am?” The shelter eventually accepted the cats, and shortly thereafter, Dascha began posting photos of two very young kittens on her social media accounts. Polanco has reportedly been added to the national DNA (do not adopt) list that’s circulated among shelters to identify irresponsible pet owners. Celebrities mistreating pets is nothing new, but the callous, public nature of Polanco’s behavior makes it unique…as does the indignant response that she posted on Facebook: “I walk with my head high and I’m nauseated by the ppl that bully and choose to express such hurtful words. You may have thought the shots of Taylor Swift dancing at the Grammys that hit the web yesterday were as good as it would ever get in terms of Swifty GIFs. And you may be right. Those GIFS are hilarious, after all, but they don’t sum up all that is T-Swift quite like the sight of her avoiding girl drama and attempting to bro down with potential celeb besties. (Read: Taylor’s two favorite pastimes.) First, we give you this awkward moment between Taylor and her candy-colored arch nemesis: Yes, the Taylor Swift-Katy Perry feud is still going strong, and the fact that Katy may or may not have dissed Taylor during her Super Bowl halftime show probably didn’t help matters. Witnesses say things got tense when Taylor and Katy found themselves in close proximity on the red carpet. Taylor reportedly “brushed past” her rival, while Katy kept her eyes glued to her cell phone. Did it get cold in here or is it just us? Johnny Cash Love Letter Voted Greatest of All Time: Read It and Weep!

When you hear the name Johnny Cash, you probably think of the rugged, gravel-voiced Man in Black who was as well-known for his hard-partying ways as for his timeless contributions to the world of country music. But apparently, beneath that rough exterior beat the heart of a true romantic, because when Cash wasn’t penning tunes about shooting men just to watch them die, he was composing love letters that would make the badass inmate at Folsom get a little misty. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a British insurance company commissioned a poll to determine the greatest love letter of all time.  Despite some stiff competition from the likes of poet John Keats and Henry VIII (?!), Cash came out on top with this mash note for his wife June Carter Cash, written on her birthday in 1994: If it just got a little too dusty in here for you to make out the text, here’s what Cash had to say to his longtime love: “We get old and we get used to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe we sometimes take each other for granted. “But once in a while, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 Earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much.” Yeah, feel free to crib that one word-for-word if you’re at a loss for what to scribble in your last-minute Hallmark card, fellas. Makes Michael Jordan’s love letters sound like the lunatic ramblings of a man driven to insanity by the thought that he might one day own the Charlotte Bobcats. The 2005 film Walk the Line  memorably depicted June and Johnny’s romance, but this letter gives us a sense of what really kept the First Couple of Country Music united throughout their many ups and downs. Jeana Keough: Returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County?

Former Bravo star, Playboy centerfold and real estate agent Jeana Keough is negotiating a return to The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to reports. Says an inside source of Keough’s reported comeback: “Bravo has reached out to Jeana. They have asked her what is going on in her life with the hopes of understanding what a potential storyline for her could be.” The 59-year-old, who was a series regular on the first five of the show’s nine seasons, “has had lots of changes going on in her life,” the source continues. “Her daughter recently got married, her oldest son is dating someone new, and she has two exchange students that live with her and keep her busy!” The last time we saw Keough on screen, during a guest appearance in Season 7, she made up with Tamra Barney , ending the pair’s ongoing feud. Relations with Vicki Gunvalson are also very positive. “Vicki and Jeana are still good friends,” the source said. “Vicki has made it publicly known on social media that she would love Jeana to come back.” “The two definitely would have a great relationship.” While you could see tension between Gunvalson and Barney leading to Keough being used to stir the pot, the insider said it could also be the reverse. She could also be utilized as a mediator, or some even more high-profile “role” that pays tribute to her past contributions to the entire Bravo brand. “Since the show was initially built around Jeana, it wouldn’t make sense for her to be a part-time cast member,” the insider concludes of Jeana. “Hopefully they would want to honor her legacy in the franchise,” this source tells Radar , and that obviously would mean “giving her a full-time position.” What do you think?
