Her hairstyle was completed by celebrity hairstylist Cesar Ramirez who commented, “Angelica Ross is not only a good friend, but also a brilliant actress.” We agree! He added, “I jumped at the opportunity to work with her for this year’s Emmy Red Carpet look.” Ross wore a custom Michael Costello gown that Ramirez stated, “was absolutely stunning with all of it’s intricate 3D flowers.” Her dress was meant to be the standout so Ramirez wanted “to keep her hair young, effortless and off the shoulders to show off the full details of the gown.” Ponytails were trending at NYFW and have been a staple on the red carpet for a few seasons now. From a distance, it’s difficult to discern what exactly is going on in the current feud between brothers and former pop stars Nick and Aaron Carter. But one thing we can say with absolute certainty is that the whole situation is incredibly sad and troubling. The trouble started last week when the elder Carter revealed that he had filed for a restraining order against his troubled brother, alleging that Aaron threatened to kill Nick’s pregnant wife . “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today,” Nick tweeted. He added the hashtags “#mentalhealth #GunControlNow and #GunControl,” seemingly in response to Aaron’s allegedly massive collection of assault rifles. “In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” Nick later wrote. Aaron responded with a bizarre social media tirade, during which he claimed that he had been repeatedly raped by his late sister Leslie Carter while he was still a child. Now, he’s leveling similarly shocking allegations against Nick. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Aaron accuses Nick of violently raping an elderly woman. “Hey [FBI] my brother raped Mildred and told me in confidence in his pick up truck she was 91 years old and my brother told me he covered her mouth so no one could hear her scream,” he wrote. “Put me on a polygraph machine please [FBI] my mother knows she was taking care of two elderly women who were on hospice Mildred and opal who my mother was keeping alive,” the 31-year-old continued. “[FBI] what are you gonna do about that!? NOTHING! ? “I’m REPORTING A RAPE FROM NICK ON SN ELDERLY WOMEN WHO WAS DYING AND WAS 91 that he raped. Strap nick up to a polygraph machine and a really good one please.” No word yet on whether or not there’s been any sort of law enforcement response to Aaron’s allegations. But needless to say, these are very tense times in the Carter family, particularly if Aaron is as unhinged as insiders claim. “Nick has beefed up security. There is definite concern for Lauren [Nick’s pregnant wife] and this situation has been very stressful for her,” a source close to the situation tells Us Weekly. “She’s very close to her due date but because of what happened previously with her pregnancies and the stress, they just want the baby to get here safely and there is concern that because of the stress she will go into early labor.” We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available. Source: Steven Ferdman / Getty Lizzo’s Postmates Courier Says She’s “Scared For Her Life” Looks like a lawsuit might be on the way for a certain talented twerking rapper. Lizzo is making headlines again in conjunction with that alleged Postmates pilfering that went viral last week. As previously reported the “Truth Hurts” rapper blasted a Postmates deliverer named Tiffany W. who allegedly stole her food order. “This girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” wrote Lizzo on Twitter, she also included a screenshot of Tiffany’s face. Now Tiffany’s reached out to TMZ and she’s claiming that her days since then have been the “worst of her life”, adding that she’s “humiliated and terrified.” She’s also adding that she did NOT eat Lizzo’s food in part because it was seafood and she does NOT eat that, but moreover because she tried to deliver the order to no avail at a Boston hotel. “We’re told Tiffany went the extra mile and hit up the hotel concierge,” reports TMZ. “She says she went into the lobby and continued to try to contact the customer and heard nothing back. Tiffany ended up waiting for a total of 10 minutes and finally left.” Lizzo has of course since apologized and Postmates is standing behind Tiffany. I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door. — |L I Z Z O| (@lizzo) September 17, 2019 Do YOU think Tiffany W. is preparing to take legal action against Lizzo?

Taking home the win for his role as Korey Wise in When They See Us , Jerome delivered an emotional speech, thanking his mother, director Ava Duvernay and of course, the Exonerated Five. “I feel like I should just be in the Bronx right now, chillin,’ waiting for my mom’s cooking but I’m here,” he said. “But I’m here in front of people I’m so motivated by.” The 24-year-old actor was considered a “lock” by many who saw the limited series on Netflix. Source: Roger Kisby / Getty Yeah, that will get you arrested. Rapper Kamaiyah got pinched after she reportedly licked off a shot in the screening room on a condo. Nah, you can’t make this stuff up. Reports TMZ : Police say Kamaiyah was hanging out at an apartment building in the San Fernando Valley … where she and some friends made their way into the facility’s movie screening room. Not a theater, per se … but close enough. Anyway, on surveillance footage reviewed by management — and eventually by law enforcement — a woman cops believe is Kamaiyah was seen pulling a handgun from inside her bag before letting a round go in the room. She darted shortly afterward. Law enforcement sources tell us it appears the discharge, during the screening last month, was accidental and the gun went off as Kamaiyah was playing with it. We’re told she wasn’t arguing with anyone beforehand … so there’s no reason to think the bullet was meant for anyone. According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, Kamaiyah wasn’t arrested until just a couple weeks ago when a warrant was issued and cops located her. We’re told they found what they believe to be the same gun used at the complex. Kamaiyah was eventually charged with elony negligent discharge of a firearm and had to fork over $35,000 bond.
Awful news today out of the world of reality television and cooking: Carl Ruiz, a well-known chef who appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and more of Guy Fieri’s programs, has died in his sleep. He was 44 years old. The tragic news was confirmed on Sunday by social media personality Matt Farah, who was close to Ruiz and who announced that his friend passed away on Saturday night from a heart attack. “I’m heartbroken that my friend chef Carl Ruiz is gone,” Fieri tweeted after the news went public. He added: “I have no words to describe what a great friend he was to me and my family. His ability to make me laugh and smile under any circumstances was only outshined by his talent as a chef. “Over the years, I’ve met a lot of great people but a friend like Carl is one in a hundred million. Carl ’The Cuban’ Ruiz will forever live on in my heart and in those of all who loved him.” Ruiz’s family restaurant — Marie’s Italian Specialties in Chatham Township, New Jersey — was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives twice over the past few years. Carl was later hired to appear on Fieri’s shows Guy’s Grocery Games and Guy’s Ranch Kitchen. The two chefs became very close as a result. In June, Ruiz opened the restaurant La Cubana in New York City, from whose Instagram account there was posted a tribute earlier today. “On behalf of the La Cubana family, with heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved Executive Chef Carl Ruiz,” the post read. It continued as follows: “No words can fully express our sadness at the sudden loss of our dear friend and brother. “Beyond his immense culinary talent, Carl’s larger-than-life personality never failed to entertain, enlighten, and uplift every person he encountered along his #Ruizing adventures. His fierce intellect and infectious humor knew no bounds. “He was a mighty force of down home Cuban cuisine, and lived life to the fullest, just as he cooked—with ‘dancing always’ as the most important ingredient.” This is how that in memoriam message concluded: Here at La Cubana, Carl paid proud tribute to his Cuban roots each night, and it is here that Carl’s legacy, undeniable spirit and passion for his culture will live on. We hope we make you proud, Carlito. To honor the work you loved so much Chef, La Cubana will continue your work in establishing The Carl Ruiz Scholarship Foundation for aspiring chefs. We love you! You are already missed. Rest easy. And here is how Guys Grocery Games and Guy’s Ranch Kitchen star Eric Greenspan saluted his late pal: “RIP Carl Ruiz,” Eric Greenspan wrote on Instagram, adding: “You hear it a lot, but never could it be more true. The world is significantly worse without you. Heaven doesnt know what just hit it.” Fellow Food Network star Alex Guarnaschelli tweeted: “This man was somehow fatherly, comforting, wise, reckless, brilliant, wickedly funny & unique all in 1. My life will be lonelier without him. Love you Carl. “I’ll make sure no one puts pineapple on pizza best I can without you here. #rip @carlruiz.” “Remember how Carl would sometimes say, ‘That’s it I’m leaving Twitter forever’? Then he would be back on 2 hours later with an update: a hotdog from somewhere special & a cackle of glee?” she added. “Carl was a great cook & shared every moment of his life with us & I already miss it. #rip” May he rest in peace. The Emmy Awards are meant to recognize the very best in television. But let's be honest: This is now a silly exercise because there's simply too much television for one awards show to properly cover. And it's also silly because no one really cares who wins Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series, do they? We care about all those fashion choices on the red carpet? Who wore it best? Who wore it worst? And who barely wore anything at all? Scroll down to find out! 1. Jenny McCarthy 2. Justin Hartley 3. Renee Bargh 4. Sharon Osbourne 5. Erin Lim 6. Dascha Polanco View Slideshow
W hen it comes to supporting the youth, it takes a village. After the story of a St. Louis woman who makes 100 lunches for children in her local community every day made headlines, several donors have stepped up to contribute to her initiative, St. Louis Public Radio reported. For five years, Champale Anderson has used her own money to make free snack bags for kids in her St. Louis neighborhood who would otherwise go hungry. She started a GoFundMe with a goal of $1,500. It's raised more than $60,000. (via @stlpublicradio ) https://t.co/jIHeHeR1wx — NPR (@NPR) September 19, 2019 Champale Anderson —a mother of six—has been providing youngsters in her neighborhood with breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the past five years. After noticing that many of the children in her community were living in poverty and would often go without food, the health care provider decided to take action and launch a project designed to combat hunger. Through her Champ’s Teardrops initiative, she provides students with nutritious bagged lunches and snacks. She has an open-door policy where kids in the community can stop by her home to pick up food. “I noticed the kids they are always hungry. They get off the bus and they take off running and they never know what I will have in the bag. I switch up and have special treats for my special babies,” she told Fox 2 News . “It makes me proud. My goal is to go to different neighborhoods and give out bags.” Since launching a GoFundMe page for her project, Anderson has gone far beyond her $1,500 goal and raised over $65,000. She plans on using the funds to grow her project and continue to make an impact in the lives of children in her community and beyond. Initiatives like Champ’s Tearsdrops are needed as childhood hunger remains an issue in the U.S. According to the nonprofit No Kid Hungry , more than 12 million children in America live in food-insecure households. Further research revealed that 17.9 percent of children under the age of 18 live in homes where there are scarce amounts of food or there is a lack of safe and nutritious food options.
