Neil Fingleton Dies: Game of Thrones Actor Was 36

The sad news keeps coming this weekend — just as we’ve learned of beloved actor Bill Paxton’s death , we’re learning another star has also passed away. Neil Fingleton, an actor whose work was featured on shows like Game of Thrones and Doctor Who, has died. He was only 36 years old, and the cause of death has been listed as heart failure. In addition to his acting, Neil was known for one other thing: at 7’7″, he was one of the tallest men in the world. In 2007, he was officially named the Tallest Man in Britain. In an interview with the Guinness book of World Records in 2007, he explained that “I have always been taller than everyone since I remember.” “My height really took off when I reached 11 and was touching 7 foot. By the time I was 16, I was 7-foot-5 and stopped growing at 18 when I was 7-foot-7.56.” But he said that while he was undoubtedly the tallest person in nearly any room, “I have never been self conscious about my height. I am more conscious of going bald so that should tell you.” “I never let my height play a negative part in my life,” he went on. “I always do what I want.” Born in England, he came to the U.S. to play college basketball for the University of North Carolina and the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. After graduating, he went on to play professional basketball in several countries, including England, Spain, Italy, Greece, and China. But it wasn’t too long before he returned home to England to begin his acting career. Neil had roles in movies like X-Men: First Class, 47 Ronin, and Jupiter Ascending. He was also the motion capture actor for Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Though he was perhaps best known for his television roles. He played the Fisher King on Doctor Who, and Mag the Mighty in Game of Thrones . Both shows have huge fan bases, so it should go without saying that his fans are mourning him right now. “RIP Neil Fingleton,” one fan wrote. “A real life giant and a badass one on TV.” Another wrote “So sad. Just wanted you fall in #gameofthrones season 6, only to read of your death online. 36 with achievements.” Fellow Game of Thrones actor Ian Whyte tweeted “Very sad to hear of the tragic passing of Neil Fingleton. He followed his dreams. Rest in peace.” Our condolences to his friends and family. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam

Daryl Easton, a magician best known for his awe-inspiring card tricks, was found dead inside Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle on Friday, according to various news outlets. He was 61 years old. The body of the entertainer was found in a closet of the popular private club, which offers upscale a dining experience and magic shows to attendees. It has been in business since 1963. A Hollywood police spokesman told the The New York Daily News that employees discovered Easton’s corpse inside a closet, wearing only his underwear. He had a bag over his head and appeared to have hanged himself. Cops have ruled the death a suicide. The Magic Castle has acknowledged Easton’s passing and paid tribute to the late magician on Facebook. “The magic community mourns the loss of one of our most beloved and talented performers and the AMA’s deepest regrets and heart-felt sympathy go out to Daryl’s family,” reads the social media statement. Milo Yiannopoulos Uninvited to CPAC Amidst Pedophilia Scandal

Milo Yiannopoulos has made a career out of courting controversy, but today, the alt-right provocateur finds himself on wrong side of a raging scandal that may bring his time in the spotlight to an abrupt end.  In recent months, Yiannopoulos – an editor at Breitbart News – has become a household name due in large part to his incessant trolling of politicians and celebrities with whom he disagrees. The most baffling example of this tired routine was Yiannopolulos’ spat with Leslie Jones of Saturday Night Live, whom he publicly denigrated for having the audacity to star in a movie. That particular bullying campaign led to Yiannopoulos getting banned from Twitter , and many hoped that would be the last they’d hear from the alt-right’s most articulate mouthpiece. Unfortunately, in the months that followed, Yiannopoulos’ far-right beliefs entered the political mainstream, and the 32-year-old became an inescapable media presence. This past week may have been the biggest of Yiannopoulous’ career, as his interview with Bill Maher went viral, and he landed a keynote speaking slot at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. However, it now looks as though Milo’s meteoric rise may have come to a halt thanks to some shocking comments he made regarding sex with minors. In a podcast interview that resurfaced last night, Yiannopoulos seemed to advocate sexual relationships between “younger boys and older men.” Not surprisingly, CPAC organizers withdrew their speaking invitation shortly thereafter: “Due to the revelation of an offensive video in the past 24 hours condoning pedophilia, the American Conservative Union has decided to rescind the invitation,” reads a statement issued by the organization. Yiannopoulos took to Facebook to apologize for – but also to defend – his statement: “I am a gay man, and a child abuse victim,” he wrote. “My own experiences as a victim led me to believe I could say anything I wanted to on this subject, no matter how outrageous.” He added: “But I understand that my usual blend of British sarcasm, provocation and gallows humor might have come across as flippancy, a lack of care for other victims or, worse, ‘advocacy.’” Yiannopoulos has described being molested by a priest as a young student at a Catholic school, but he has repeatedly denied being a victim, and speaks of the experience in positive terms. Many other prominent conservatives, including President Trump, are still scheduled to appear at CPAC. View Slideshow: Donald Trump Impeachment Party: Who’s Attending?

Angelina Jolie & Jared Leto: Dating?!

Over the weekend, Angelina Jolie spoke publicly about her divorce from Brad Pitt for the first time. It’s been months since the couple parted ways following a still-mysterious confrontation between Pitt and the couple’s eldest son aboard a private jet, but until this week, both actors have refrained from speaking about the split publicly. That’s not terribly surprising, considering how closely Pitt and Jolie guarded the details of their personal lives were throughout their marriage. Of course, true privacy isn’t possible at that level of fame, which means that in the absence of on-the-record updates from the tabloid media will meet the demand for Brad and Angie news with unsubstantiated rumors. We’ve already heard (almost certainly bogus) reports that Brad is dating Kate Hudson . Now it’s Angie’s turn for a made-up rebound relationship. And gossip columnists have decided to set her up with an even more high profile and unlikely new boo:  Yes, according to Star magazine, Angelina is dating Jared Leto. To be clear, we wouldn’t put it past her, and when Jolie does move on, it will probably be with someone famous and weird as hell, not unlike Leto. We just don’t think it’s happening yet. A source tells the magazine that Angie and Jared aren’t just hooking up, they’re rushing headlong into a serious relationship: “The word is they spoke several times on the phone before meeting up in L.A. for dinner, and they’ve been seeing each other whenever they can since then,” says one source. “Angie’s been telling friends Jared has a special way of making her feel good about herself.” Another insider adds: “He’s been good for her, helping put a smile back on Angie’s face.” Yes, he’s putting a smile on that face of hers. We can’t help but thing the person who made this source up got Jared confused with Heath Ledger. Anyway, as we said, this almost certainly BS, but we wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s impossible. This is a woman who went from Billy Bob Thornton to Brad Pitt. In a way, Jared Leto is the next logical step. Which would make this the only time there was anything logical about Jared Leto.

22 Celebrities Who Prove The Future Is Female

From Tina Fey and Alicia Keys to Emma Watson and Meryl Streep, these stars have spoken out against sexism, fought for women's rights, and much more.  Here's a list of 22 celebrities who proved without a doubt that the future is female! 1. Tina Fey Tina Fey’s career in and of itself is inspiring, and she’s known for shutting down sexism in more than just her writing. At the Center for Reproductive Rights Inaugural Gala in New York City in 2012, she was quoted saying, ““And if I have to listen to one more grey-faced man with a $2 haircut explain to me what rape is,” Fey said, “I’m going to lose my mind!” 2. Amy Poehler In all honesty, everything about Amy Poehler proves the future is email, but her foundation, “Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls,” is a pretty perfect example. 3. Jennifer Lawrence Jennifer Lawrence stood up for what was right when it came ot equal pay. She published an essay in Lena Dunham’s newsletter about the issue. Later, she spoke up about the word “feminism” stating, “I don’t know why that word is so scary to people… It shouldn’t be, because it just means equality.” 4. Kerry Washington Kerry Washington has spoken about women’s rights on several occasions, and she’s not been shy about her political views. Here’s a quote from her op-ed piece in The Daily Beast: “We, the people, especially us women, have to make sure our leaders know how we feel, what we think and what we care about. Together, we need to stand up for the kind of America we want — one where women and girls are equal, strong and proud, and where we all have a president who has our back.” 5. Scarlett Johansson Scarlett Johansson is sick of inappropriate questions. “Now, were you able to wear… undergarments?” a reporter asked her about a film. Her response? “What’s going on? You’re like the fifth person to ask me that question. Since when did people start asking each other in this industry about their underwear?” 6. Taylor Swift Taylor Swift has had some of the best possible responses to sexism, including the perfect comeback to someone pointing out that most of her songs are about ex-boyfriends. “I think, frankly, that’s a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says that about Bruno Mars. They’re all writing songs about their exes, their girlfriends, their love life, and no one raises a red flag there.” View Slideshow
