Nathaniel Marston, One Life to Live Star, Critically Injured in Car Accident

Daytime soap actor Nathaniel Marston was critically injured on a Halloween night car crash. The soap star, who is most well-known for playing Eddie Silva on As The World Turns and Michael McBain on One Life to Live , is on life support. His mother, Elizabeth Jackson, made the sad announcement on her Facebook page on November 1. “Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston,” Elizabeth desperately wrote. “He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support. Back and neck broken in several places. Other internal injuries. Please pray that he will recover and walk again.” While doctors treated Nathaniel, his mother kept fans updated: “Just spoke to highway patrol and tribal police. In case rumor mill gets going. Nate was sober according to cops.” She added, “Waiting to speak to Dr. Please pray that Nate does not end up a parapalegic..neck broken and fracuted in neck vertabrea 3,4,5,6, and 7.” “Shoulder broken along with all ribs. Collapsed lung and pnenoma. Please please pray for him.” Tragically, Nathaniel will likely be paralyzed from the neck down.   After speaking to the doctor, the devastated mother wrote, “Spoke to Nates Dr. In all likely hood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine. Nicki Minaj Mocks Disabled Woman in Wheelchair, Pisses Off Fans

Nicki Minaj may not have had the year's best celebrity Halloween costume (that title goes to LeBron James as Prince ), but she's attracting plenty of attention for her fairy godmother get-up. Sadly, it's for all the wrong reasons. In a video clip that's going viral today, a visibly intoxicated Nicki points her “magic wand” at a woman in a wheelchair and roars, “I command you to walk.” Needless to say, a lot of folks didn't find the remark as funny as Nicki and her friends seemed to. Nicki has been running damage control today by tweeting at Perez Hilton (one of the first to post the footage) that the woman sitting in the wheelchair was actually a makeup artist friend of hers. “That's NOT a disabled person and u know that. Are u that desperate for attention?” Nicki tweeted. “Bitch, u knew. That's my friend in a scooter.” Some fans have countered that even if Nicki is telling the truth (a big “if,” as based on the video, it doesn't seem the woman was in on the joke), the clip is still offensive to people with physical disabilities. Before she even “casts her spell,” Nicki can be heard to remark, “Now, if only I could find Handi Man,” a reference to the disabled superhero character played by Damon Wayans on the '90s sketch show In Living Color. So regardless of whether the woman was someone that Nicki knew, Ms. Minaj was clearly having a laugh at the plight of people with disabilities, and she should probably be apologizing instead of justifying. Also, Nicki, instead of being the 4 millionth celeb to indulge Perez Hilton's trolling, maybe just take Taylor Swift's advice from last night and let it go.

Fred Thompson Dies; Law & Order Actor and Former Senator Was 73

Former US senator and prolific actor Fred Thompson has passed away at the age of 73. His family broke the news in a statement issued to several media outlets earlier today: “It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of grief that we share the passing of our brother, father and grandfather who died peacefully Nashville surrounded by his family,” said the statement. “Fred was the same man on the floor of the Senate, the movie studio, or the town square of his home.” According to the statement, Thompson died following a recurrence of lymphoma. After beginning his career as an attorney, Thompson alternated between politics and acting for much of his adult life. Thompson served as a Republican senator for eight years. Once considered a rising star of the Senate, Thompson retired after his term expired in 2003, stating that he “didn’t have the heart” for another term. Thompson launched a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, but dropped out after attracting little support in early primaries. As an actor, Thompson is perhaps best known for his role as District Attorney Arthur Branch on Law & Order and its spinoff series SVU, Trial By Jury and Criminal Intent. In addition to portraying Branch from 2002 to 2007, Thompson starred in dozens of feature films, including Cape Fear, In the Line of Fire and Die Hard 2. Heidi Klum Halloween Costume: What Did She Go as Now?

Heidi Klum has done it once again. The super model, who hosts a super Halloween party every year and who comes up with super creative costume ideas, left the jaws of every warm-blooded male hanging out on Saturday night. Because she dressed as Jessica Rabbit. The Project Runway host made a dramatic entrance into her own shindig over the weekend, emerging into a spotlight from the dark to reveal her incredible outfit, one complete with crazy prosthetic breasts… a giant butt … and amazing fake eyelids. Earlier in the week, Klum had teased that she would get into costume as the “ultimate male fantasy.” And transforming into the luscious cartoon vixen from  Who Framed Rodger Rabbit? certainly fits that description. Texas Teacher Draws Penis on Student’s Paper, Keeps Job Somehow

Talk about a dick move! Literally! An El Paso, Texas school teacher is in the news this week because she drew a penis on a student's assignment, yet will somehow not lose her job as a result of this action. The student’s mother, Sandra Green, discovered the phallic piece of “art” work on her sons’s social media account and told her local ABC affiliate that Chapin High School language arts teacher Kim Juzdowski admitted to the drawing in a contrite email. She apparently went through with it the student “wasn’t doing anything in class.” Which we guess is a metaphor for jerking off.  She gets points for originality. But loses many more points for being totally out of line and possibly a tad mentally unbalanced. A spokesperson with the  El Paso Independent School District told The Huffington Post that Juzdowski “understands that the drawing was in bad taste and that it was inappropriate for the type of relationship a teacher should have with a student.” That's nice and all… but that's it. Yes, according to reports. She will not face any kind of discipline. She definitely won't lose her job, we know that much. Green believes the lack of punishment is rather absurd and is looking to have her son transferred. And she brings up a pretty good point in the following video report: Imagine if gender roles were reversed here. Imagine if a male teacher drew a pair of breasts or a vagina on a female student's paper. It's not a question then whether or not the teacher would be fired. It's only a question of how hard the door would hit him on the way out.

Raven-Symone Sort of Defends Spring Valley Assault Officer

Raven-Symone is in hot water today for comments she made on After the View . The former actress – who has never met an opinion she did not share – addressed the controversy surrounding a Spring Valley High School student who was violently arrested this week and said the following: “The girl was told multiple times to get off the phone. “There’s not right or reason, for him to be doing this type of harm. That’s ridiculous. But at the same time, you gotta follow the rules in school. First of all, why are there cell phones in school? “This shouldn’t even be a problem to begin with, and he shouldn’t have been acting like that on top of it.” Why is Raven-Symone receiving backlash for these comments? And perhaps the school ought to change its cell phone policy in general. But these are separate points. The young woman could have broken a rule and still not have deserved THAT. Because THAT was utterly insane and ridiculous and uncalled for. Spring Valley High School resource officer Ben Fields slammed an African-American student on the ground and dragged her across the room. Not because his life was in danger or because the student was exhibiting any sort of physical threat toward anyone. But because she was on her phone?!? Come on, Raven-Symone. You’re smarter than this.

Kim Zolciak: Greetings from My Hospital Bed!

Kim Zolciak has given fans an important health update. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, who was forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars due to a stroke, shared the following photo on Instagram today and included with it a helpful message. “My surgery was a success!! I can’t wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it’s over!” Zolciak captioned a selfie from her hospital bed. “Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too.” Via hashtags, Zolciak added that “God is incredible” and that her family has been “so supportive.” Zolciak suffered a small stroke last month, which prompted an evaluation from doctors and the discovery that Zolciak had a heart condition . “It was a blessing in disguise,” Zolciak told Good Morning America on October 9, regarding the diagnosis. “The minor TIA revealed that I have a PFO, which is like a hole in your heart. I was born with it and it never closed. That’s what caused it, basically.” Zolciak had said previously that she planned on playing a role on the Dancing with the Stars finale, but her status for that series is now unclear. We still have multiple days until the calendar flips to October 31. But we’re just gonna go ahead and call it right now: Colton Haynes just won Halloween. For this year and possibly every year going forward. The former Teen Wolf and Arrow star, who impressed fans when he went out as Princess Fiona in 2014, celebrated the annual holiday early this past weekend. By dressing as Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Where does one even start in praising this outfit? The wig? The makeup? The bodysuit? The cape and leotard? Officer Violently Arrests Student in Classroom, Stars React

Celebrities have joined many on Twitter who are outraged over the viral video of a police officer placing a student under violent arrest. The incident took place at in Columbia, South Carolina. The disturbing footage (featured below) depicts a white officer (identified as Ben Fields) grabbing an African-American young women who is sitting at  her desk. Fields grabs her from the desk, causing it to topple over, and then drags her across the room. According to various report, he had been called to the classroom due to the student’s unruly behavior, though she’s sitting calmly at her desk when the arrest takes place. It has also been reported that a second student was taken into custody for attempting to intervene. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says Fields, a deputy and the school’s resource officer, has been placed on administrative leave as the situation is investigated. In response, the hashtag “#AssaultAtSpringValleyHigh” trended across the United States on Monday evening, with multiple stars responding to the shocking arrest on Twitter. “I can’t unsee what I just saw,” wrote Olivia Spencer, while Olivia Wilde added three words: “Disgusting and shameful.” Cher also chimed in with “Teen girl in classrm thrown around like rag doll. Every1 on TV saying ‘we can’t see what she did b4 video’ Who gives a flying Fk!! She’s a CHILD” and Charlie Sheen certainly did not think Fields was winning. “I won’t even offer you the dignity or recognition to print your name. Jay Z And Harry Belafonte Squash Their Beef Over Activism

Harry Belafonte and Jay Z Settle Differences Harry Belafonte famously criticized The Carters for failing to acknowledge and speak out against social injustices. Jay Z snapped back saying that his mere presence was his activism, and even called Belafonte a “fail” in one of his tracks after the incident. Well it seems all fences have been mended, as Hov was spotted attending a chat about social justice that Belafonte hosted alongside Usher, even after suffering a minor stroke. Via PageSix : Legend Harry Belafonte, 88, participated in a Q&A on “music and social injustice” with Usher on Friday, despite having suffered a seizure a night earlier. Spies said Jay Z secretly turned up and “was backstage and spoke with Belafonte and Usher for a long time . . . Then he sat in the audience for the event.” Belafonte and Jay Z had a beef beginning in 2012 when the older entertainer said, “I think one of the great abuses of this modern time is that we should have had such high-profile artists, powerful celebrities. But they have turned their back on social responsibility. That goes for Jay Z and Beyoncé, for example.” Jay Z fired back in 2013, “This is going to sound arrogant, but my presence is charity. Just who I am. Just like Obama’s is.” He even dissed Belafonte in a song, saying, “Mr. Day-O, major fail.” But it seems the two have finally buried the hatchet.
