Ashlee Simpson is now a mother of two! The singer welcomed her first child with husband Evan Ross yesterday; Ashlee, 30, already has a six-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli. “Their whole family was around to support them,” a source told E! News. “Evan was very emotional and loves Ashlee so much.” Evan Ross, 26, “did not leave her side and wanted to go through this with her every step of the way. He can’t wait to be a dad.” “He would do anything for Ashlee and now this baby girl. Ashlee is doing great and can’t wait to get home to to be with her family.” Ash’s son, Bronx, is from her previous marriage to musician Pete Wentz. Yes, he was born quite a few years ago at this point. “I think with every child it’s different,” Simpson said. “It feels new to me too, and it’s been six years. Dr. Walter Palmer was the Internet’s favorite topic of conversation this week – and he wasn’t exactly thrilled about it. On Tuesday, Palmer admitted to killing Cecil the lion – the beloved mascot of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park. The backlash was immediate, and millions on social media began calling for the Minnesota dentist’s head. Within 24 hours of the news going public, Palmer went into hiding in response to the thousands of threats of physical violence that were posted on Twitter and Facebook. Yesterday, the US Fish and Wildlife Service issued a statement encouraging Palmer to contact them, so that he might work out a deal that would allow him to avoid prosecution. Today, Palmer took the bait (pun intended) but it remains to be seen if the organization will be able to save him from being extradited. Right now, it looks as though Palmer’s only real punishment will be a lifetime of dirty looks from strangers. Both the US and Zimbabwean governments are expected to offer him the chance to avoid prosecution under two conditions: Palmer will be forced to testify against the guides who illegally helped him track and kill Cecil, and He’ll be asked to provide free dental services for impoverished families in Zimbabwe. Yes, he’s getting off easy, but at least the second part of the deal ensures that something good will come out of this ugly situation. As for Palmer’s dental practice – it’s closed its doors indefinitely.

More and more it seems Scott Disick won the baby mama lottery when he knocked up Kourtney Kardashian. Kourtney dumped Scott almost three weeks ago, but it now looks as though she’ll be paying for the mistake of getting involved with him for the rest of her life. Page Six is reporting today that Kourtney will likely be forced to pay Scott child support . Legal experts say Kourntey will get primary custody, but she’ll also be forced to finance Scott’s time with the couple’s three kids. “Children have the right to live in the lifestyle of both parents regardless of where they are,” says Goldie Schon, a California-based family law attorney. “While Scott may only have the kids 10 percent of the time, because [Kourtney] is such a high-income earner it’s very likely she would pay him child support. On April 23, child star Sawyer Sweeten committed suicide . The Everybody Loves Raymond star shot himself in the head while in Texas visiting family members. Now, a toxicology report has disclosed that 19-year-old Sweeten had used drugs before his death. According to a toxicology report , Sawyer had marijuana or “cannabinoid” in his body. Jacklyn Stines, Sawyer’s cousin, reported that he may have been suffering from depression. She said, “I’ve heard he was depressed, but I don’t know what exactly about.” “There is a history of depression in the family, all through. Many of them are on medication for depression,” Stines added. Sawyer and his twin brother Sullivan and their sister Madylin worked together on Everybody Loves Raymond . They played Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton’s kids on the hit show from 1996 to 2005. Sawyer grew up on the show and was cherished as a cast member. Very sad news today out of the music world: Daron Norwood – a country music singer who has released three studio albums and had two songs make the Country Top 40 over the years – was found dead in his Texas apartment on Wednesday. He was 49 years old. Per E! News, Police Chief Brant Harrison says that officers and medical personnel responded to a call about an unresponsive individual around 2 p.m. yesterday. Upon arrival, they found Norwood dead in a bedroom. An investigation is underway, but there do not appear to have been any signs of foul play. Over the course of his career, Norword released such albums as: 1993’s Daron Norwood, 1995’s Ready, Willing and Able and 2012’s I Still Believe. The two singles that reached the Top 40 were “If It Wasn’t For Her I Wouldn’t Have You” and “Cowboys Don’t Cry.” They were both off his debut album. After overcoming a substance abuse problem, Norwood and his wife co-founded “Keep It Straight” in 1997 in order to warn children about the dangers of drinking and drug abuse.
