Miley Cyrus Sends Video Message to Sick Fan Just Hours Before Her Death

Regardless of your feelings about Miley Cyrus’ revealing selfies or celebrity feuds, the following story is sure to leave you with admiration for the controversial pop star’s love for her fans. Caley Camarillo was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age. She had been a fan of Miley’s since her Hannah Montana days and her parents were able to arrange for her to meet Miley during the early stages of her illness. Sadly, Caley passed away this week at the age  of 12. Fortunately, Miley was able to play a heartwarming role in the young girl’s final moments. Miley Cyrus Message to Sick Fan The above video was recorded by Miley the day that Caley died. According to a Facebook post written by Caley’s mother, watching the personal message from her favorite was one of the last things Caley did: “I just wanted to share how things go full circle,” wrote Theresa Camarillo. “Miley Cyrus was the very first celebrity that Caley was into and the very first celebrity that she met. Miley sent this video to Caley and she was able to watch it an hour before she passed. She managed to let out a smile. I take great comfort in this for some reason.” After her initial meeting with Miley, Caley went on to meet several other celebrities.  Taylor Swift’s work with sick children  led her to cross paths with Caley  on at least one occasion. But Caley was a Miley fan first and foremost. And it was a final, impeccably timed act of kindness by Miley that brought joy to a young girl’s final hour.

You know that kid on awards night who picks up the certificate in every possible category there? Math, science, art, underwater basket weaving? Yeah, that kid’s totally overrated. (Or a suck up.) That same thing totally happens in Hollywood with overrated movies sweeping awards season year after year.  Obviously, sometimes movies are legitimately good and thus become all that anyone will talk about. This is not a rare or unreasonable phenomenon. Still, you just want to scream and vow never to see the film for as long as you live, even if it means you don’t get the “I’ll never let go, Jack!” inside joke. Other movies, however, are legitimately bad and yet the critics still fawn over them. We’re not $ure how that happen$ either. ( cough AVATAR cough ) So which recent films fit the overhyped bill? Everywhere we turn these days, we’re bombarded with ads for how to get a guy or girl to like us. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend is the ultimate task. After all, we all want to end up living out our very own fairy tale like Kim Kardashian and Kanye, right? Or like Prince William and Kate Middleton ? Yeah, let’s go with that one, since it was  actually a fairy tale and not just an excessive display of, well, everything. But enough about Kimye. Anyway: We dream of walking on the beach with somebody who loves us, or curling up like Blake Lively to Ryan Gosling to talk about whatever it is those two talk about. But with relationships, of course, come all sorts of messy restrictions. You’re not just thinking about yourself! You have to take someone else’s feelings into consideration before you decide whether to have frozen pizza or takeout! As it turns out, there are actually quite a few things better than having a significant other in your life, at least part of the time. If you’re going out to the club and you can’t dance, no worries! There’s always grinding, a “dance move” where you basically dry hump anyone in your general vicinity. Grinding is a move so egregious that schools across the country have attempted to eradicate it threatening students with suspension if they partake in it feverishly. Game of Thrones Actors’ Previous Roles: You’ll Never Guess Where Joffrey Got His Start!

The actors’ on HBO’s most-watched series tend to really disappear into their roles. So much so, in fact, that many Game of Thrones actors look completely different in real life  than they do on the show.  Of course, most of the folks who currently populate Westeros didn’t get their start in the Seven Kingdoms. For the sake of believability, producers made an effort to avoid mega-famous A-listers when casting GoT but whether you realize it or not, you’ve seen some of your favorite sers, maesters and Wildlings in previous projects: 13 Game of Thrones Stars in Earlier Roles 1. Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister These days, Peter Dinklage is best known as fan-favorite Tyrion Lannister. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together once again, a new rumor alleges, and the unlikely catalyst was the former’s recent racism controversy. According to a source close to Gomez, Justin reached out to her after he came under fire for his two shocking n-word videos , seeking emotional support. The insider claims Bieber told his ex that he “needed her by his side” and his heartfelt words sent her flying to Canada on a private jet last weekend. “Justin reached out to Selena when he was getting tons of backlash for his controversial race joke. He told Selena that he really missed her,” the source says. The coup de grace came when he said that Selena Gomez “was the ONLY one who truly understood him and that he needed her by his side.” “He said that his father’s birthday celebration wouldn’t be the same without Selena because she’s part of the family,” the source also reveals. “He also told her she was his soulmate and that he was lost without her.” Swoon alert. To the surprise of no one, these were deep words “that Selena had longed to hear, even though she’s basically heard them before.” “Yep, they are crazy about each other … once again.” Apparently, this convinced Selena to fly to Canada for the low key birthday celebration for his father, Jeremy Bieber, on the weekend of June 7-8. Also, a family friend of Jeremy’s girlfriend, Victoria Nosko, tweeted a thank you message to Selena and others who attended the birthday bash. Moments later, she deleted that tweet and posted literally the same message sans Selena’s name, as if trying to cover up the fact that she was there. Nice try. Seems like these two have rekindled the flame again but are keeping it quiet. Wonder if she’s the one who took today’s Bieber bed selfie . Kelly Clarkson Gives Birth to Baby Girl!!

Kelly Clarkson has finally popped. The singing sensation gave birth to a baby girl this past Thursday, her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock. “Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :),” she Tweeted. This is the first baby for the 32-year-old Kelly, who shared the news this morning. Brandon has two kids, Savannah and Seth, from his first marriage. Kelly and Brandon tied the knot in Tennessee last October. Clarkson has been very candid about her pregnancy, revealing she was having a baby girl before giving birth and talking openly about her weight. “Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can’t wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk,” Kelly joked after announcing her pregnancy. As for shedding the baby weight starting this week? “I’ve never been Gisele Bundchen, so ain’t nobody expectin’ that! I like to set [low] standards so people don’t expect a lot,” the star cracked. Then there was this tweet earlier this month: “Okay my baby girl needs to come on out ASAP. Mama is tired, swollen and miserable hahaha!” She rules. Congrats to the happy new parents! Busted! Citibank Sued By City Of L.A. For Predatory Lending To Minorities Citibank is being hit with a huge predatory lending lawsuit where they are accused of knowingly engaging in predatory lending practices that led to the foreclosure of over 1,200 homes in minority neighborhoods. via Courthouse News Service Los Angeles can pursue claims that predatory Citibank loans in minority neighborhoods caused a disparate number of foreclosures in those areas, a federal judge ruled. The city sued Citibank, Citigroup, CitiMortgage, Citicorp Trust Bank and Citi Holdings in December 2013, claiming they were “reverse redlining” certain minority neighborhoods, resulting in blight and diminished property-tax revenue. A “regression analysis” Los Angeles cited showed that from 2004 to 2011, a black borrower was 2.273 times more likely than a white borrower to receive a predatory loan. The city said it could identify 1,200 loans that resulted in foreclosure, and that it expected the number to rise. U.S. District Judge Otis Wright found sufficient evidence Monday of racial motivation behind the predatory loans. “As L.A. points out, the complaint is rife with allegations that defendants targeted minority borrowers for unfair loan terms based on race or national origin,” he wrote. The banks failed to sway him on their characterization of the city’s alleged injuries as nonspecific. Citing the 1979 decision Gladstone Realtors v. Village of Bellwood, which held that civil actions could be brought against racial discrimination housing sales or rentals, Wright wrote: “the Supreme Court made clear that ‘a significant reduction in property values directly injures a municipality by diminishing its tax base, thus threatening its ability to bear the costs of local government and to provide services.’” “The court finds that it need go no further with respect to L.A.’s alleged injuries of decreased property-tax revenue and increased municipal services,” Wright added. Sounds like Citibank better get ready to drop more than a couple stacks to clean this up….
