Carly Rae Jepsen has taken a stand in favor of gay right. By canceling a concert appearance organized by the Boy Scouts of America. The Canadian crooner – who is currently opening for Justin Bieber in London – had been booked to perform at the National Scout Jamboree in Mount Hope, West Virginia in July. But she announced via Twitter this morning that she was backing out of the gig and made the reason why as clear as can be: “As an artist who believes in equality for all people, I will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer,” Jepsen wrote. “I always have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level … and stay informed on the ever changing landscape in the ongoing battle for gay rights in this country and across the globe.” Train has also canceled its appearance at the show, but has said it will gladly reverse this decision if the Boy Scouts of America reverses its policy on not allowing gays to enlist.
Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King made headlines last week when she resigned her crown in the wake of allegations that she starred in a porn video. Those allegations have since been confirmed … by a second video. Melissa King Video The production company responsible for King’s (reportedly frigid) porn skills seeing the light of day posted a clip of her signing a legal release on camera. In the SFW footage (below), a fully clothed woman identifies herself as Melissa King and says she’s not under the influence of drugs or mind-altering substances. The footage is titled “Miss Teen Delaware Confession.” Melissa King, who resigned from her title early last week, was reportedly paid just $1,500 to appear in the adult video – and was declined a role in a sequel. A representative for the site that posted the video said King not only approached them (not the other way around), but would have done more, too. The company was unimpressed by her debut, however. King initially denied appearing in the porn film, telling Delaware Online that the woman in the video was “absolutely not” her. Of course, it totally is. Numerous Tweets she’s posted since the story broke (not to mention the relinquishing of the crown), all but confirmed it, even if she didn’t confess. Whatever. If Kim Kardashian is any indication, a young girl can land on her feet quite nicely after landing on all fours on an amateur-looking sex video.

Thug life… Gang Member Caught With 100 Bags Of Drugs In Rectum A New Jersey man suspected of being a gang member was recently charged with drug possession and intent to distribute after police officers found 100 bags of drugs stuffed into his donkey booty during booking. via News One An alleged Bloods gang member was caught with 100 bags of h****n in his rectum as a result of a routine traffic stop in New Jersey, according to a police report obtained by The Record. Rasoul H. Speight of Port Jervis, N.Y., and Gary T. Sylak of Shandaken, N.Y., were stopped by cops as they traveled north on the Palisades Interstate Parkway because their 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer had unclear license plates. When the officers approached the vehicle, they allegedly smelled “sticky-icky” and asked for permission to search the car. Though nothing was found inside of the vehicle, a records check revealed that both men had outstanding warrants for traffic violations. Both men were cuffed and transported to the Interstate Parkway Police headquarters in Alpine, N.J. During processing, Speight was found to have bags of heroin in his rectum and Sylak had a syringe and a spoon, both with heroin residue, inside of his jacket. That’s not gangster. This year, in a continued effort to show racing fast cars should appeal to more than just its traditionally white fan base, the circuit brought in African American celebrities such as recording artists 50 Cent and T.I. and future Hall of Fame NFL star Ray Lewis to the Daytona 500. It’s a long way from the traditional slate of country singers. Yet even with the best intentions, the intended message may not be getting out. “Damn, I don’t see no black people lol,” 50 Cent tweeted Sunday after arriving at Daytona International Speedway. That was about the last message NASCAR was hoping to have hammered home to 50 Cent’s nearly eight million followers. The truth is the truth though. NASCAR itself has taken numerous steps through the years in attempt to open up its fan base – if for no other reason than to tap into a potential lucrative market. yahoo nydailynews Continue reading →
It makes me laugh that Taylor Swift’s choice of dresses is making news…I mean it makes me wonder if we’ve lost all hope….or maybe things in our lives are just so boring and pathetic…that we have become mindless drones that fill our brains with useless fucking content and information like what dress Taylor Swift is wearing….like there aren’t fucking injustices in the world…or diseases to be cured…or corruption in the government…or fights that need to be fought…or adventured to take….but instead I am here…and you are here…looking at a skinny bitch who loves to get fucked by a lot of different people and covers her tracks by pretending they were in a “relationship”….so she doesn’t come across as being a slut…cuz it will ruin her vanilla image that behind closed doors is filled with anal….and in that comes a tighter fucking dress…cuz it’s time to have a little sex appeal….because everyone is watching….god knows why….so make the fucking most of it….when all I see is a cum stain on our society….but I feel that way about all these celebrities that are just distraction to the actual bad shit going on…. Cruchy Karrueche says she will forever be mixing business with pleasure… Karrueche Admits That She Still Loves Chris Brown Despite the many photos of a reunited Rihanna and Chris Brown plastered all over the internet, magazines, televisions screens, and anywhere else there is to look, Breezy’s mini-caked ex boo thang Karrueche Tran insists that her business and personal relationship with Chris is iron clad. via VIBE As the Chrianna reality show plays out, her relations with Chris remain blurry at best (snapshots of her and the superstar linger on her Instagram). But she’s willingly hanging on by a thread. “He’ll always be in my life because we have a line together,” she states. The prospect of a three-way chat with Rih, that’s a little more unlikely. “It would take me to somewhere I wouldn’t want to go,” says Karrueche, still oddly cordial. “Whatever it is will never be understood, even from Chris and Rihanna.” This “sit down” definitely sounds highly unlikely. Wonder if Rih-Rih would agree to that? Photo Credit: Cliff Watts/VIBE

Cameron is sticking to her guns Model Cameron Russell Says She Won The Genetic Lottery With Her Beauty Via CNN Last month the TEDx talk I gave was posted online. Now it has been viewed over a million times. The talk itself is nothing groundbreaking. It’s a couple of stories and observations about working as a model for the last decade. I gave the talk because I wanted to tell an honest personal narrative of what privilege means. I wanted to answer questions like how did I become a model. I always just say, ” I was scouted,” but that means nothing. The real way that I became a model is that I won a genetic lottery, and I am the recipient of a legacy. What do I mean by legacy? Well, for the past few centuries we have defined beauty not just as health and youth and symmetry that we’re biologically programmed to admire, but also as tall, slender figures, and femininity and white skin. And this is a legacy that was built for me, and it’s a legacy that I’ve been cashing in on. Some fashionistas may think, “Wait. Naomi. Tyra. Joan Smalls. Liu Wen.” But the truth is that in 2007 when an inspired NYU Ph.D. student counted all the models on the runway, of the 677 models hired, only 27, or less than four percent, were non-white. Damn, 4 fawking percent… I am not a uniquely accomplished 25-year-old. I’ve modeled for 10 years and I took six years to finish my undergraduate degree part-time, graduating this past June with honors from Columbia University. If I ever had needed to put together a CV it would be quite short. Like many young people I’d highlight my desire to work hard. But hard work is not why I have been successful as a model. I’m not saying I’m lazy. But the most important part of my job is to show up with a 23-inch waist, looking young, feminine and white. This shouldn’t really shock anyone. Models are chosen solely based on looks. But what was shocking to me is that when I spoke, the way I look catapulted what I had to say on to the front page. Even if I did give a good talk, is what I have to say more important and interesting than what Colin Powell said? (He spoke at the same event and his talk has about a quarter of the view count.) She makes a good point, say what you want about “post-race America” but when it comes to the catwalk, if it ain’t white, it ain’t right . The numbers don’t lie. Image via WENN
