Sources close to the celebrities told TMZ that Kim, Khloe, Kourtney , Kris, Kendall and Kylie gave $500,000 to The Red Cross and The Salvation Army Tuesday. Sources say the money will be wired and split evenly. Other celebrities have donated to hurricane relief efforts, especially since Kevin Hart put out a call to major stars, asking them to donate. Since then, folks like Chris Brown and T.I. have answered the call. However, T.I. might not be in agreement with the Kardashian-Jenner donations. The rapper said he’d donate to anywhere but The Red Cross, even saying “I ain’t f*cking with no motherf*cking Red Cross.” You can watch his words below. The Red Cross has a reported history of taking in donations with some of those funds not reaching people most impacted by natural disasters. Sad news for horror fans today … Tobe Hooper has passed away. He was 74 years old. The coroner for Los Angeles County has reported that he died yesterday in Sherman Oaks. As of now, the cause of death has not been revealed. If you are a horror fan, you definitely know of all of his many, many contributions to the genre. But for those unaware, Hooper was responsible for bringing us two of the best, most influential scary movies of them all: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Poltergeist. In addition to directing 1974’s Texas Chain Saw Massacre, he also wrote the screenplay and created the soundtrack. Which means that he is, in fact, solely responsible for delivering that entire terrifying tale — and the franchise that followed. Interestingly enough, Hooper taught at a college before making the film, and he made documentaries on the side. He was out doing some holiday shopping in the early 70s, and he came across a rack of chainsaws for sale. He thought about how much he wanted to leave the store, and how starting up a chainsaw would definitely part the crowd. But instead of firing up a chainsaw in a busy department store, he later pulled together a group of his students and other teachers at the college. And that’s how the movie was created. Seriously. Though there wasn’t much blood at all in the film, Hooper had to fight repeatedly to get it down to a R rating, and it was still banned in several countries. Because, as he so impressively proved, you don’t need gore to completely and thoroughly horrify viewers. Twelve years after introducing the world to those wild Texan cannibals, Hooper directed the sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. This movie was very, very different from the first, but still just an absolute gem, proving Hooper’s incredible skill. Which honestly, at that point, didn’t really need proving: eight years after the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre and four years before the sequel, he directed Poltergeist. Which is, of course, also one of the greatest horror movies of all time. He’s directed many other things as well, including a miniseries based on Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot and even a Billy Idol music video. (“Dancing with Myself,” if you were curious.) Hooper is widely regarded to be one of the most influential people when it comes to horror films, and for good reason. And several members of the community are taking the time to pay tribute to him. He was a kind, decent man and my friend. A sad day.” William Friedkin, director of The Exorcist, said “Tobe Hooper, a kind, warm-hearted man who made the most terrifying film ever. If you’re like most Americans, you never heard the name Louise Linton before yesterday. Just 48 hours ago the Scottish actress’ claims to fame were appearing in the 2012 remake of the horror film Cabin Fever and marrying US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, both revolting undertakings that no doubt tested the limits of Ms. Linton’s gag reflex. Now, however, Louise has finally found the fame she’s spent her adult life in search of. Unfortunately, it’s left her frantically switching her social media accounts to “private” like Marie Antoinette boarding up the windows at Versailles. In case you missed Louise’s “let them eat cake” moment, here’s what happened: Linton and her husband recently traveled to Kentucky in a private jet in order to discuss tax reform with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. What former Charlie Sheen co-starrer Louise brought to the table is anyone’s guess, but hey, this is the administration in which former handbag designers are shaping foreign policy , so anything goes. Anyway, Woman of the People Louise posted a photo of herself arriving in Kentucky (a state in which 1 in 5 people live below the poverty line) that rubbed some folks the the wrong way. The pic showed Linton stepping off a government plane looking like she’d been outfitted for a different kind of runway. To ensure none of the poors got the wrong impression that she’s flying around in Target pajama pants and a neck pillow from Hudson News, Linton tagged the many high-end designers responsible for her outfit. The hashtag “#HermesScarf” went viral shortly thereafter, but not because Twitter was so impressed by Louise’s fashion sense. To drive home the point that she’s some sort of cartoon bad guy rich person, a la Monty Burns or Cruella De Ville, Linton attacked an Oregon mother of three who dared to suggest that her post was in poor taste. “Have you given more to the economy than me and my husband? Either as an individual earner in taxes OR in self sacrifice to your country?” Linton wrote, in an emoji-laden screed. “I’m pretty sure we paid more taxes toward our day ‘trip’ than you did. Pretty sure the amount we sacrifice per year is a lot more than you’d be willing to sacrifice if the choice was yours.” She went on to slam Miller for being “adorably out of touch,” before sarcastically quipping, “Your kids look very cute. Your life looks cute.” After what we imagine was a hilariously WTF?! reaction from her husband (who, as the producer of the Entourage movie, is a man who knows good taste), Louise issues a half-assed apology … through her publicist: “I apologize for my post on social media yesterday as well as my response. It was inappropriate and highly insensitive,” read a statement issued by Linton’s handlers. As you can see, the apology is boring, boilerplate, and almost certainly not penned by Louise herself. Really, the only reason we’re reporting on it at all is so that we can bring you the exciting news that Louise literally played Marie Antoinette in an episode of CSI: NY! Louise Linton on CSI: NY But that wasn’t her only gloriously apt film role. Louise also had a few lines on the now-defunct CBS drama Cold Case . She played a woman named Louise in an episode titled “WASP”! You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Well, you can … but who would want to? Oh, do yourself a favor and google Louise’s memoir – a harrowing account of her post-boarding school gap year living amongst black people. It’s the “feel awful about this administration and the state of our society” book of the year!
When you think about it, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra really are remarkable, right? They’ve been through so much together — after all, they’ve been dating for 12 (!!!) years. If you can even believe it, these two started dating when they were just 13 years old, and ever since then, their lives have been a roller coaster ride. And not always a fun one. They both grew up with extremely troubled home lives: Tyler’s father was in and out of jail with his drug addiction, and Catelynn’s mother was pretty darn emotionally abusive, from what we’ve seen in early seasons of Teen Mom. We can’t imagine those issues got any better when their parents got married after they began dating, making them step-siblings. Then, a few years later, Catelynn got pregnant, and after taking a good, hard look at their situation, she and Tyler made the very selfless, very mature decision to place their baby for adoption . A decision that earned them an alarming amount of ridicule and shame from their parents. It’s all just so very sad, isn’t it? But through it all, they had each other. And they still do! Yesterday, they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and to mark the special occasion, Tyler shared a special message to Catelynn on Instagram. “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY babe,” he wrote. “We have been together for 12 years & now 2 of those years we have been married.” “I am so lucky to have found you when I did. I love you SO much!” Precious, right? He also shared his wedding vows to her, which, you may remember, were pretty much the best wedding vows in the history of reality show weddings. Maybe even weddings in general, it’s hard to say. And hey, since it was just their anniversary, and since Tyler shared them again and everything, why don’t we revisit those vows? First, grab some tissues, brace yourself, maybe grab a pet or a stuffed animal or something … and here we go. “Catelynn,” his vows began, “from middle school sweethearts at the tender age of 13, to two teens in a crisis facing the odds together, to becoming parents and building a household together, to playfully goofing around together like children as if no one is watching …” “All of these things and many more are the reason I want to make a promise to you, a promise that as long as I’m alive you will never be alone, you will never question if you are beautiful, you will never doubt that you are worthy, and you will never wonder if you are loved.” “You are my angel, my soulmate, my best friend,” he wrote in that darling speech. “I believe you were brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me.” He finished it all of with “I anxiously await to be able to love you forever as my wife .” Those are the amazing vows he wrote for Catelynn, and, just in case you somehow forgot, he cried while reading them to her at the wedding. Catelynn and Tyler have their problems for sure, but still, it’s obvious that they love each other. Happy anniversary, guys, and here’s to many, many more!
If you were to ask Rachel Lindsay, DeMario Jackson has a lot in common with Jon Snow. Because he came back from the dead? Because he may be the Prince That Was Promised? No. Because, according to Lindsay, Jackson knows nothing. Appearing on The E&G Podcast yesterday, Jackson touched on his brief stint as a suitor on The Bachelorette this past season, one in which Lindsay gave him the boot after learning DeMario had a girlfriend. “I was only there for the two weeks in the house,” Jackson said, prior to delving into controversial territory: “From the beginning you knew that she was attracted to white men. You knew that. No disrespect, you just knew. She had that vibe. “From night one, we all set down, all the guys and I said, ‘They’re going to have a black representative, either myself or Eric, and they’re going to have Dean, Peter, and Brian as the final four.’ “We all caught that.” In the end, Lindsay selected Bryan Abasolo over Peter Kraus on the show’s finale. Both men are white, but that’s nothing more than a coincidence, Lindsay says. Commenting on a photo from the podcast’s official Instagram page that was promoting Jackson’s appearance on E&G, she wrote the following on Tuesday: “Says the guy that dated Lexi [a white woman]. Demario never knew me and still doesn’t.” DeMario, of course, has become more famous for the controversy that engulfed him and Corinne Olympios on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise than for his time on The Bachelorette. Production on that spinoff was halted for a couple weeks while Warner Bros. conducted an internal investigation that eventually cleared DeMario of all sexual misconduct charges. He appeared on the show last night, sat down opposite Chris Harrison and discussed all he’s been through. “I know who I am. I know I’m not that monster they’re trying to portray on TV,” Jackson said. “Like Michelle Obama said, ‘When they go low, you go high.’ It was hard to go high, but I had to do it because I train and mentor children, and I can’t tell them to be something that I’m not. “That’s what kept me going. And great family, friends, school teachers, people at the gym. It was crazy to see the response from them… There was just so much love. I was extremely humbled.” Olympios will speak on air to Harrison next week. Beyonce really did give birth to twins a couple months ago. It wasn’t a rumor. There’s no conspiracy here. We even know their names: Sir and Rumi Carter . However, you’d be forgiven if you doubted Beyonce really did squeeze not one but TWO kids out of her womb in June, considering the photos that have surfaced of her since. In snapshot she shared two weeks ago, for instance, the artist is rocking a crop top and showing off a stomach that is already back to being svelte. On Monday night, meanwhile, Beyonce attended sister Solange’s Saint Heron: Wine and Grind party at MASHstudios in Los Angeles. And she got herself fully dressed up for the occasion, rocking the tight, short dress in which she’s pictured above and below. The global superstar didn’t post a caption with these photos on her official website because that’s just not how she ever rolls. But not very much really needs to be said, does it? Can you believe this woman is only a very recent mother of twins?!? Jay Z and Beyonce welcomed their latest kids on June 15. We’ve heard that the stars aren’t getting much sleep these days as a result, but that’s to be expected. And this is what a source tells People Magazine for its latest issue: “Beyonce has been very busy with the newborns, but she’s also been able to relax a bit. It’s helped her that Blue has been such an amazing big sister.” As is the case with many parents who already have a child upon introducing another one or two kids into the household, Bey and Jay made a point to spend a lot of “quality time” with Blue before she became a sibling. They want to make sure she never feels jealous or insecure. However: “There was no need to worry because Blue is great,” says this source. “She takes her job as a big sister very seriously and helps out a lot.” That’s so great to hear! Neither Beyonce nor Jay Z have said much in public over the past several months. They are holed up in a rented Malibu mansion and trying to enjoy this newly-expanded family. As for their oldest daughter? Blue is excited about starting kindergarten,” writes People, adding: “She misses her friends. It will be fun for her to get back to her own life at school.
