In a new biography, Simon Cowell writes that Sharon Osbourne left the British version of The X Factor because she was irritated by Cowell’s romance with fellow judge Dannii Minogue. But on yesterday’s edition of The Talk , the America’s Got Talent panelist begged/yelled to differ. ”I’m, like, pissed off because you’ve got a whole career to talk about… Why bring Mrs. O into your messing around?” Osbourne asked, adding that her boss (Cowell produces AGT ) “likes to glamorize, he likes the publicity, he likes the attention.” Why else might Simon say certain things about Sharon and others? She’s officially too old for our celebrity babies section, which we continue to use anyway, because we’re lazy and don’t get a lot of celebrity toddlers search queries. Still, SIX! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ only child (he has two adopted kids from his marriage to Nicole Kidman) Suri has been under a microscope since the day she was born and we thought she might not really exist. Kate Gosselin has scarcely been in the news lately. Thank goodness. Don’t worry, though: even with TLC mercifully cancelling Kate Plus 8 last year, the attention-starved mother of eight isn’t about to rest on her laurels. She’s blogging like a madman for CouponCabin (dot com) and longing for the morning that someone will call and offer her brood a new reality show. Don’t hold your breath, Kate. But happy 37th birthday babe. It seems like only yesterday that Kate was burning up our TVs with her weekly emasculation of Jon … then burning up our site with her marital problems. Memories. Yes. “She loves it,” Bieber Carson Daly on AMP Radio yesterday, talking about Selena Gomez , of course. “It is about her.” Justin Bieber on Radio Disney The artist also appeared on Radio Disney (above) and said all the right things about actually being a quality boyfriend for Selena. Go ahead and take notes, fellas: “You just have to be honest, that’s the first thing, because if you’re not honest, then the relationship is just not a good relationship. At the end of the day, your girl would appreciate you being honest more than lying to her and vice versa.” Bieber added that he’s “loving and patient” in his relationship, while millions of fans around the globe added: OMG, I love him so much, he’s so adorable and Selena better treat him well or else she’ll have to answer to me. Happy 26th Birthday, Lady Gaga!

One of the most successful, buzzed-about singers in all of music turns 26 years young today. Happy birthday to Stefani Germanotta, a.k.a. Lady Gaga! The only question is how the New York native will celebrate. From urging fans to donate money to victims of the Japanese earthquake to using her star power to promote gay rights and denounce bullying, she’s never been one to rest on her laurels – even during as self-imposed media blackout. This year promises to be quieter for Gaga following 2011’s release of her smash hit sophomore album Born This Way , but don’t expect her to fade away. Not by a long shot. Love Lady Gaga or hate her, there’s no debate over the impact this artist has had on the industry, and her immense popularity with fans is unquestioned. Naked or clothed, with or without makeup , dressed like a slab of meat or a rumored hermaphrodite , we love us some Gaga. And we’re clearly not alone. Kris Humphries: Pay Up and I’ll Shut Up!

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are set to do battle in divorce court , but the NBA power forward has a message for the sex tape star: Pay up and I’ll shut up! According to TMZ, Humphries is demanding $7 million in exchange for his silence and a clean, simple, non-scandalous legal split. Otherwise… he’ll do his best to expose Kim as a lying manipulator who scammed both him and the public into a sham of a marriage. There are a few hiccups in Kris’ plan, however: He signed a pre-nuptial agreement that guarantees him nothing. He made over $1 million off the wedding and its related TV special/photo opportunities. He also made well into the six figures off his appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians . The guy just signed an $8 million/year contract with the New Jersey Nets, to boot. If he wants to win any PR battles here, Humphries would be best served to tell his lips to do the opposite of Kim’s legs in that video with Ray J: Remain closed.

Justin Bieber Makes Big Birthday Announcement

Justin Bieber will appear on an episode of Ellen today for two reasons: To celebrate his 18th birthday! To announce the name and release date of his next single! Indeed, the teenage icon is 18 years old as of this morning, so you can feel less illegal/guilty for picturing him naked, ladies. In honor of the occasion, he made a big announcement during his Ellen interview: “On March 26, my first single is coming out and it’s called ‘Boyfriend,’” Justin says in the following video, going on to describe the theme of the track he co-wrote with Mike Posner. “Basically I’m talking to this girl, ‘if I was your boyfriend I would never let you go.'” Justin Bieber Annouces New Single During the taping, Justin‘s manager, Scooter Braun, surprised his client with a new car: the environmentally-friendly Fiskar Karma. Bieber and Ellen also discussed the former’s trip to a special elementary school earlier this year and how the singer gets involved in so many charitable endeavors. What a great guy. Happy 43rd Birthday, Jennifer Aniston!

Last year, on her 42nd birthday, celebrity gossip tabloids were saying that Jennifer Aniston was lonely and going through inner turmoil on a daily basis. What a difference a year makes. With a serious boyfriend in Justin Theroux, a career that’s taken some fun new turns, and a face and body that seem to look better with age (we didn’t know that was possible, but Aniston’s defying the odds), she’s on top of the world. We’re sure the Brad Pitt rumors (reconciliation/love child/whatever) will surface again soon. That’s just how the tabloids roll … every month of every year.
