Mario Armando Lavandeira, Jr., was born 32 years ago today. Who would have guessed this Miami native would one day become the biggest name in celebrity gossip . The Hollywood Gossip has clashed with Perez on numerous occasions about a wife variety of issues, namely everything printed on his website, but today is his day. When he gets his a$$ whomped the next time, we won’t be shedding any tears, and we’ll keep calling him out for hurting his own causes, but give the man his due. Not only has he become the face of an entire genre, he keeps things really entertaining. Particularly when he gets assaulted or sued. Those stories are the best. One of the best young singers on the planet celebrates a birthday on this 10th day of March. No, not Miley Cyrus. No, not Justin Bieber (that was last week). We’re talking about Carrie Underwood, American Idol winner turned American country sensation and universal cutie. She’s 27 today. Happy birthday, Carrie! On top of being a terrific talent with 10 million-plus record sales to her name, the product of Checotah, Oklahoma, is smart, sexy and even down to earth. What a combination! Sarah Palin to Produce Alaska Documentary

The other night, Jay Leno asked Sarah Palin if she had any future TV plans, and she joked that she heard his position opens up every once in awhile. Well it turns out she already has a TV plan of sorts. The former Alaska Governor and Survivor creator Mark Burnett are shopping a new docudrama. Seriously. The TV project features a “planet-Earth-type look” at her home state of Alaska. We have no idea what that means, but it sounds … cool? We’ll assume it refers to the acclaimed Discovery Channel series Planet Earth . Which has sort of already done what they’re describing if so. Anyway. So much Sarah Palin on TV. Not enough hours in the day. Palin and Burnett had a meeting with Fox honchos yesterday, and are talking with ABC and CBS today and NBC Universal tomorrow. So this is legit. Whitney Port turns 25 today. Happy birthday, girl! Ever since we first got to know Whitney on The Hills , she’s been a favorite of THG’s. There’s a lot to love about the sweet, genuine, expressive SoCal cutie. While she began her reality TV career as BFF and co-worker of Lauren Conrad , she soon moved on to her own show, The City , chronicling her move to NYC. There, Whitney Port only endeared herself to us more, even if some of the men (Freddie Fackelmayer) and friends (Roxy Olin) in her life are exasperating. We look forward to watching her life and fashion career continue to evolve, and can’t wait for the new season of her hit series. Happy birthday, Whitney! He’s not as famous as his 17-year old sister. Nor is he as racy as his 10-year old sister . But Trace Cyrus does have something his famous siblings can’t lay claim to: a birthday today! He turns 21. Trace is a guitarist and singer for the band Metro Station. He made news in the summer of 2009 for dating Demi Lovato and then for trashing The Jonas Brothers . Happy Birthday, Ashley Greene!

What a difference a year makes. On February 21, 2009, we did not wish Ashley Greene a happy birthday. In fact, we had not even written a single article about the actress at that point. But now we’re excited send best wishes to the Twilight Saga star on her 22nd birthday and we encourage readers to do the same. Over the last few months, Greene has exploded onto the celebrity gossip scene, mostly due to her role as Alice Cullen in Twilight and New Moon ; but a series of naked photos didn’t hurt her fame, either. She may be fully clothed in the montage below, but these pictures are still worth a look or two dozen… Two other stars also celebrate birthdays today: Corbin Blue is 20, and Jennifer Love Hewitt is 30. Happy Birthday, Taylor Lautner!

A former Vice Presidential candidate and current money-hungry celebrity is 46 today (Sarah Palin). Arguably America’s most beloved actresses also celebrates a birthday (Jennifer Aniston). But one milestone stands above all else on February 11, 2010: Taylor Lautner turns 18! Women around the globe know what this means, as the date has likely been circled on their calendars for months: They can now think dirty, legal thoughts about the Twilight Saga stud muffin. Of course, Lautner himself doesn’t seem that impressed with the occasion. Asked about his plans for it, Taylor said: “I’ll spend time with family and friends… I don’t like to do anything huge, but it is 18, so, it’s kind of a big one I guess.” Isn’t that humility a major reason why so many fans are drawn to this rising star? That and his ridiculous six-pack, of course. Lautner will also celebrate the big 1-8 by starring in Valentine’s Day , opposite former fling Taylor Swift, which opens this weekend. Happy Birthday, Charlie Axel Woods!

Charlie Axel Woods turns a year old today. Let’s hope he isn’t old enough to use Google. After all, a search for Tiger Woods doesn’t exactly bring up what it once did. Charlie made his public debut ten days after he was born . The golfing and cheating great posted a photo (below) on his website of him holding and kissing his son, writing at the time: “Both Charlie and Elin are doing great and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts. Elin, Sam and I are very excited for the new baby to arrive, although that’s when the real lack of sleep begins.” Of course, as we now know, Tiger hadn’t actually been using a bed for sleeping in a very long time. Woods is rumored to return to the golf course in late March. Are you excited for him to come back? As you ponder that question, send Charlie birthday wishes today!
