Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan: It’s Over!

Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan of the NBA’s LA Lakers and VH1’s Basketball Wives fame, respectively, have announced their split. They had a nice run together, mostly. After calling off their engagement last year, but convincing the public they’re still a couple, the two confirmed the breakup we ALL knew was coming this week. Matt emailed out a statement today about the split from Gloria Govan (sister of Gilbert Arenas baby mana/Shaq mistress Laura Govan ), saying the following: “I’d like to address rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship. We’ve reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.” Gloria just tweeted her statement saying: “I’m sure you guys are hearing a ton of buzz about Matt and Me breaking up, sorry to say… its true!!!!!! But the most important thing is focusing on my kids and continuing to have a good relationship with their father, thanks for your support!!!” A heated Twitter exchange this month between Matt and a fan – who suggested Barnes should Govan or else someone else will – was a bad sign. Responded Barnes: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Classy. Meanwhile, she Tweeted Saturday: “If someone is dumb enough to walk away, be smart enough to let them go. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher on Twitter: It’s Over!

Ashton Kutcher went all third grader on us in a recent Tweet, telling the public not to assume anything about his marriage to Demi Moore. But this s a fact: The couple no longer follows each other on Twitter! Considering how obsessed each is with this social network, could there be any surer sign that they’re over? Moore is “sad, hurt and embarrassed” by the scandal, a source close to the actress tells Entertainment Tonight , adding that Demi and Ashton “had been receiving counseling from Kabbalah over the summer to try to fix their marriage.” Alas, it failed and they are reportedly now living apart. Still no word from Sara Leal , though, Kutcher’s alleged mistress who reports indicated was in the process of hiring an attorney and seeking out the highest offer she could find to tell her story. Stacey Dash and Emmanuel Xuereb: Divorced!

Clueless actress Stacey is officially divorced from her husband Emmanuel Xuereb. A judge finally granted her divorce from the man she claims beat her up on multiple occasions. Stacey Dash filed for divorce in January 2010, the same day she filed for a restraining order against Emmanuel. Dash claimed that Xuereb had hit her in the face, head and body during their two-plus years of marriage, but she was afraid to report it to police. In any case, the marriage – which was Dash’s third – is officially over now.

Jesse James and Kat Von D: It’s Over! Again!

Kat Von D and Jesse James broke up. Again. The troubled, tattooed couple has called it quits once again, calling off their engagement for the second time this year, Von D revealed on Facebook. “I am not in a relationship. (And I apologize for all the “back and forth” if it’s caused any confusion),” said the star of LA Ink, which TLC broke up with recently. The duo called off their engagement in July, for reasons still not entirely clear, only to be back on again and planning a wedding a mere month later. Now it’s off again. As for why they separated, Von D tells People : “It just became clear to me that we were just on two different paths in life.” “My friend put it best … I am deserving of total, noble love. And as a woman, I think it’s important to know your value and never lose sight of that.” So basically … Jesse fell short of providing that? Sort of a cryptic comment, but that’s all we’ve got. With no wedding in the future, Kat also shared she won’t be packing up and heading to James’ home base: “I am not in any way moving to Texas.” “My tattoo shop is not closing, and is open for business… same goes for my art gallery, Wonderland – next door to High Voltage Tattoo.” “I wish Jesse nothing but the best in life and in love.” No word if she plans to remove her tattoo of his face: Kat Von D Gets Jesse James Tattoo

Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter: It’s Over!

She was there to cheer on hit number 3,000. But Minka Kelly won’t be around to see if Derek Jeter wins ring number six. The actress’ rep has confirmed this couple of three years is over. “They care about each other and it was amicable. They’re still friends,” an insider tells People . Kelly had been a constant presence in Jeter’s family’s box at Yankee Stadium all summer long, as the couple dodged engagement rumors for the past year or so. But it’s possible her shooting schedule on Charlie’s Angels , a new ABC show debuting this fall, simply made the relationship untenable. Jeter, meanwhile, has recovered on the field after a slow start. His batting average is up to .299. We have a feeling he’ll bounce back from Kelly in decent shape, as well. This is a man who has dated Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Gabrielle Union…

After a decade of dating, Sara Gilbert and Allison Adler have called it quits. The Talk host and the television producer will share custody of their children (Levi, 6, and Sawyer, 4), according to People , which first reported this split. Gilbert’s rep confirms it and describes the parting as “completely amicable.” Gilbert and Adler started dating in 2001.

Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg: It’s Over!

It’s all over for Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg. Due to conflicting, hectic schedules, the couple has split after four years of dating, insiders confirm to The New York Post . “The main reason was that they have been busy with their work, and it has made it difficult to spend time together,” a source tells the newspaper . “Nicky has been back and forth traveling overseas a lot with her business. She has recently been in Asia promoting her jewelry line, and David is starting a new production company.” Katzenberg created MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger , while Nicky actually does seem involved in the family business. She’ll be leaning on one of those family members in the face of this break up. “Paris and I are going to go to the South of France next week for some business and pleasure,” Nicky told Us Weekly on Wednesday. Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler: Engagement Called Off After SHE Got Dumped!

Jay Cutler really can’t come through in the clutch. What a quitter. After just 10 months together, the Chicago Bears quarterback and Kristin Cavallari have called off their engagement, a source confirms today. As for who facilitated the split? “She got dumped,” says another source . “Kristin is absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening.” The couple, who were planning a spring wedding, became engaged in April, when Cutler popped the question while on vacation in Mexico. They had been spending much of their time recently in Chicago, and Cavallari had planned to move there during the upcoming NFL season. “She was planning her dream wedding, the date, the location – everything was set,” the source says. “She’s in shock that it ended this way.” Last week, Cavallari Tweeted about her engagement party: “Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!” The couple had completed their wedding registry, and the former star of The Hills was determined to be in great shape for the wedding. Saturday night Cavallari hit The Beverly, an L.A. lounge, and was spotted without her engagement ring. Says a source close to Cavallari. “She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. She was telling friends how they called off the engagement.” Personally, we can’t believe the guy sacked a babe as gorgeous as Kristin. Here’s hoping Cutler gets sacked around 200 times this season.

Dr. Conrad Murray Lawyers Seek Nancy Grace Ban, Possible Sequestration of Jury

Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyers saw what happened to Casey Anthony . The doctor’s legal team told the trial judge they don’t want Nancy Grace to influence the jury – not that it worked in Anthony’s case, with Grace eviscerating her daily – so they asked the judge to prohibit jurors from watching. Why anyone would want to anyway is beyond us, but fair point. Dr. Conrad Murray is free on bail as he awaits trial . Attorney Michael Flanagan argued it’s impractical to tell jurors they can’t watch TV – because they simply will anyway – so he wants them sequestered. We’re talking full-on O.J. style. The idea that Murray, who’s charged with involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of Michael Jackson, can’t receive a fair trial because of Nancy Grace is dubious, but the case will receive inordinate media scrutiny. The judge told Flanagan to file a motion and he’d consider it, though the judge did say he thought sequestering was unnecessary and too expensive. Flanagan also pressed his claim for outtakes for the final Michael Jackson rehearsal footage – which Sony won’t give up – in an attempt to prove MJ was on drugs, weak, beyond repair, a lost cause, etc., etc., etc. In a telling comment, Judge Michael Pastor did not seem compelled, saying, “This case is going to focus on the charge, not personal lifestyle.”

Recent reports have been confirmed by a friend close to Elin Nordegren: She’s got a new boyfriend in Jamie Dingman , it’s fun, and she’s happy! After her divorce from Tiger Woods, Elin instantly became one of the most eligible and desirable women on Earth … but also sought to lay low. It wasn’t until a year and a half later that she was ready to move on and was spotted kissing and hugging Jamie Dingman in Stockholm, Sweden: Elin Nordegren and New Boyfriend A source confirmed to People that the two are an item, but still “at the beginning of dating, where you don’t know where it’s going to go.” Elin met Jamie, a financier, at a charity dinner in Florida benefiting Queen Silvia of Sweden’s World Childhood Foundation on April 2. Despite rumors to the contrary, such as Elin dating a student in Florida last summer, this is Nordegren’s first post-split relationship: “It’s fun and she’s happy,” adds a second Elin friend.
