Of all the former Jersey Shore cast members, few have struggled with life post-MTV as much as Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The six-packed, self-proclaimed “guido” happily took on the villain role on the popular reality series but found that by the end of the show’s run, viewers and castmates alike had grown tired of his antics. As the pressure of fame and playing the bad guy increased, The Situation fought addiction , did a stint and rehab and looked like he’d been permanently relegated to the “Where are they now?” file. Now, it appears The Sitch will get a second shot at stardom as the TVGN network announced today that they’ve cast Mike and his family in a new unscripted series titled The Sorrentinos. Rumors of a Situation reality show have been circulating for over a year but we’re guessing that Mike ironically became more attractive to producers as his own “situation” worsened. Everyone loves a comeback story, and Sorrentino has plenty to come back from. “We’re excited to take viewers, who met Mike in a very different time and place of his life, and bring them along for this ride with The Sorrentinos,” said the network’s entertainment president, Brad Schwartz. “Family is everything, and it’s something people universally come back to no matter who you are and what you do. Fame just makes the stakes higher and more public.” Network heads say the show will focus on Mike’s efforts to re-build his career and stay sober, all while coping with his eccentric family.
Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House, the restaurant at the center of the Paula Deen racism scandal, has been shuttered in surprising fashion. The establishment did not tell employees in a meeting face-to-face … or at all. The workers showed up this morning to find appliances being removed. The Many Faces of Paula Deen Open Slideshow 1. You can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. The only explanation was posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page this morning, saying, “Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba’s is now closed.” People are pissed. “My mother worked there for over 8 years and no one called her!! My fiance also worked there … a manager called him LAST NIGHT to get his availability next week!” “My mother put in some hard work for years with you & she finds out when she shows up for work this morning to be escorted by a police officer to get her belongings.” Well … that’s rough. If you recall, Bubba’s manager Lisa Jackson sued Paula Deen, whose deposition included a story where she Deen used a racial slur to describe an African American. The allegations of racism against Jackson were denied by Deen, and the suit was eventually tossed, but the damage to her career was done by that leak. Now she’s planning a big comeback and likening herself to Michael Sam , but this latest bad PR won’t help matters in getting back on track. Then again, she’s been through worse.
Padma Lakshmi is some chef in her 40s and she’s doing what all chefs in their 40s do….no, not settling down to focus on family because the life in the kitchen is draining and unhealthy….filled with booze, bad food, cocaine, and sex after hours….but posing in lingerie for Playboy like she’s not 42 years old….married to a 98 year old like she was Anna Nicole Smith….in what is probably the first ever official naked celebrity chef….despite my strong worded letters begging for Playboy to shoot Paula Deen Diabetes Pre Weight Loss spread eagle shoot…that playboy ignored…but instead brought me this…I get where they are coming from…but fat chicks naked are more entertaining….
In what may have been a slight exaggeration, Anthony Bourdain referred to celebrity chef Paula Deen this was as the worst, most dangerous person in America . What does Deen have to say about the No Reservations host in response? “Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life,” she told The New York Post . “You don’t have to like my food, or Rachael’s, Sandra’s and Guy’s. But it’s another thing to attack our character. I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country. In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks.” Deen added that Bourdain has contributed nothing to society, aside from “being irritable.” Fighting words, folks! The Duchess of Cambridge. The Boobies of Seaside. What’s not to love? We’ve already seen Anne Hathaway rapping this week. Now she’s opening up to Interview about a pop culture-loving side to her we never knew she had. The 28-year-old One Day actress had this to share with the mag: On her obsession : “Right now, I’m obsessed with Kate Middleton . Obsessed. I loved the Royal Wedding. I was so cynical going into it, and pseudo-political about the whole thing, but as soon as I saw her I was utterly charmed.” “I’m just completely enchanted by all things Kate and William. With everything she’s doing right now, I say, ‘Yay, Kate.’” On Jersey Shore : “When I first saw the show, I thought, Wow, they are having a very different experience there than my experience in Cape May.” “I thought the first season of the show was awesome because it was authentic, but I don’t watch anymore because they know there’s a camera there.” “The Situation is totally self-aware. He’s referring to himself as The Situation non-stop. In the episode I saw, his car got towed, and he was like, ‘We’ve got a situation here, and The Situation is the situation.’” On Snooki and J-Woww : “I watch MTV for escapist pleasure, but when I saw Snooki, I saw my twin . I couldn’t lose myself in the show because there I was.” “That being said, I think JWoww is amazing. I love JWoww . She’s intense. See, JWoww to me is proper Jersey because she will scrap for a friend.” So true. Just ask Sammi: Jersey Shore Fight in Slow Motion
As any viewer of the Travel Channel knows, Anthony Bourdain is not one to hold back an opinion. Typically, it’s related to food. But the No Reservations host expounded on his views in a recent interview with TV Guide Magazine, saying of celebrity chef Paula Deen: “The worst, most dangerous person to America is clearly Paula Deen. She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations and she’s proud of the fact that her food is f–king bad for you… plus, her food sucks.” Deen was not the only well-known personality to feel Bourdain’s wrath (“Does [Rachael Ray] even cook anymore? I don’t know why she bothers. To her credit, she never said she was good at it.”), but it’s safe to say she got the worst of it. What do you think? Is Deen the worst person in America?

No matter how you slice it, it’s chunky and creamy smooth texture gives an outstanding performance all by itself. Before I studied at any culinary school, this recipe came all-too natural to me thanks to my father’s fiery Latin influence and my upbringing. My signature recipe is one of X-treme rock star quality. It’s one of my celebrity clientele’s favorite “skinny dips.” Add some house made tortilla chips to the bill and you have definitely got yourself a #1 hit. Rock-On!” Ingredients: 2 Large Haas Avocados, Cut and Seeded ½ Poblano Chile, Seeded, Stemmed and Finely Chopped 1 Serrano Chile, Seeded, Stemmed and Finely Chopped ½ Medium Red Onion, Finely Chopped 1 c Cilantro, Chopped ½ Lime, Fresh Squeezed 2 2 oz. Jars Pimento, Sliced (juice removed) ½ tsp. Granulated Garlic Sea Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper to taste Method: On a wooden cutting board slice the avocado length wise and open, remove the seed with a chef’s knife and scoop the green, creamy flesh into a large mixing bowl. Using a fork mash the avocado until it becomes a semi-chunky and creamy consistency. Add the poblano chile, serrano, onion and pimento, mix together with fork. Add the cilantro and lime juice. Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly, cover with plastic wrap and chill for 20 minutes. To Make The Chips: Ingredients: Mini Corn Tortillas (approx. 1-2 dozen) 2 Tbl. Chile Powder 2 Tbl. Sea Salt ½ Lime, Fresh Corn Oil Method: Pre-heat the corn oil in a large cast iron kettle pot 3-5 inches deep. Bring the oil to about 380 degrees over medium-high heat. When the oil reaches the desired temperature begin adding the tortillas one by one, as to not over crowd the pot. Fry the tortilla wedges and toss frequently to brown evenly on both sides with a slotted spoon about 5 minutes. Remove the chips and drain on paper towels. Season the hot chips as soon as they come from the oil with the chile-sea salt combination and drizzle with lime. http://www.kaichase.com/ http://www.facebook.com/celebritychefkaichase http://www.Twitter.com/chefkaichase http://chefkaichase.blogspot.com Join Celebrity Chef Kai Chase and Robin Downes’ Yoga Flava for Summer Spiritual and Sensual Sizzle By Th Sea Weekend Retreat Get Away (June 25-28) in Marina Del Rey, California Related articles: Nine Healthy Snacks For Kids How does Micheal Jackson’s Spirit Live On For You? 5 Super Fruits To Enhance Your Sex Drive
