At least night’s Kids’ Choice Awards, Katy Perry showed off a few inches of her midriff in a neon green ensemble with matching peep toe heels … … and a sports bra-like top dripping in slime: The award show, of course, is known for its orange carpet and time-honored tradition of dumping industrial-size quantities of green slime on some “lucky” winners. Perry was among the Kids’ Choice Award winners for her role in The Smurfs , but the only slime Katy wore was on her chest from the get-go, though. There was no controversy about this, though: She looked awesome! Bey wore a snug navy dress by Victoria Beckham, sky-high heels and some dazzling bling (including a diamond-encrusted eagle) with her hair in a simple ponytail. So what was Beyonce doing right in terms of new mom style ? “When you think of the things women dislike about themselves, the majority don’t like their upper arms and also have skirt-length issues,” one stylist told MTV. “She’s addressed both of these. Now that’s St. Patrick’s Day fashion done right. Kate Middleton continued run of recent royal festivities with her husband away on military duty in the Falkland Islands as she set out to Aldershot, England, to greet and charm the Irish guards on Saturday, March 17. Here’s one of our favorite Kate Middleton photos from the event: Clad in an emerald coat dress cinched at the waist, the lovely Kate accessorized with a brown cap, matching pumps, and a bloom of shamrocks on to her lapel. Kate Middleton also donned a clover pin that once belonged to The Queen Mother, Prince William’s great-grandmother, who passed away in 2002. After presenting soldiers with a basket of shamrocks (a tradition dating back to 1901), the 30-year-old got into the spirit with a sip of Harvey’s Bristol Creme sherry. A minute-long snippet from Madonna’s upcoming single “Superstar,” has been released, and may be the most interesting preview from her new album MDNA so far. Thanks in very large part to her partner in song: Daughter, Lourdes Leon. Madonna’s 15-year-old girl is growing up fast, contributing background vocals for her famous mom’s new tune. Take a listen below and see if you can pick her out: Madonna – Superstar (Sneak Preview) Rather than just serving as a PR-worthy, superfluous addition to the song, Lourdes’ involvement is more of a fun (and sentimental) collaboration with mom. Jessica Simpson had a busy night few watched on NBC, rewarding winners on The Biggest Loser and then judging aspiring designers on the premiere of Fashion Star . “People across America can change their lives, and I think Conda and Kim are setting such great examples,” Jess said on the former, promoting her own products. In addition to a year’s supply of BeautyMint products, the winning pair scored free Simpson-brand clothes, shoes and necklaces with diamond butterfly charms. “Any time you get discouraged, look down at your butterfly,” she encouraged Conda Britt and Kim Stone, both single moms triumphantly fitting into size 10s. “These girls have lost so much weight and it just shows how determined they are to feel good,” Simpson said. “To be able to be a part of that is very special.” Speaking of special, Jessica Simpson posed nude in Elle recently. And, last night also marked the premiere of NBC’s Fashion Star , hosted by Elle Macpherson. Featuring Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos as mentors who both meet with contestants behind the scenes and offer opinions, the show made its debut. It’s unclear how long it’ll be around, but it debuted. Sort of like The Voice , but with clothes, aspiring designers send out a look and hope that buyers from Saks Fifth Avenue, H&M and Macy’s will want the creations. Of the designers who get no offers from the three, the mentors save one and the buyers decide who’s out. It’s as confusing as it sounds, but oh-so-stylish!
Actor Michael Madsen was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony child endangerment. Madsen was taken into custody in Malibu, Ca., then released early this morning and was in decent spirits on his way out, calling the whole incident a “big misunderstanding.” So what the heck happened exactly? According to law enforcement, Madsen got into a a physical fight with his juvenile son, and when cops arrived, they observed several signs of injury on his son. Madsen also appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. The son did not require medical attention, but Madsen was booked on a charge of child endangerment with cruelty to a child – a felony charge. Then what? Madsen’s attorney, Perry Wander, tells TMZ that “[Michael Madsen] found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away.”
On Monday’s episode of The Bachelor, fans will watch Ben Flajnik propose to either Lindzi Cox or Courtney Robertson to conclude a most controversial season. Kris Humphries doesn’t need a lot of help on the basketball court. This power forward was fifth in the NBA last season in rebounding. But the former reality star is currently seeking assistance in divorce court, TMZ reports , as his Los Angeles attorney recently dropped out and California rules require a Minnesota attorney to be accompanied by local counsel. Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, will be represented by Laura Wasser, whose roster of past clients includes Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. As for Humphries’ trial hopes? “Kris would like there to be an admission that there was fraud, that there was a malicious intention by the Kardashians to use Kris and to make money and benefit themselves from him,” a source tells Life & Style . “He wants them to publicly admit that they never intended for it to be a real marriage.” In other Kardashian-related tabloid news: Kim is totally (NOT) planning to adopt !
