For weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumors of a Lil Wayne-Birdman feud, and neither party has done anything to confirm or deny the reports. Until today, that is. The A-list emcee (who may or may not be dating Christina Milian ) fired shots at his former mentor today in the form of mixtape verse that both confirms the beef and pretty much settles it. Wayne states his case loud and clear in a track titled “Coco”…well, as clear as Wayne is capable of being, anyway. Last night we learned that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child over the holidays. Aside from some stunning red carpet maternity fashion statements from Blake, the couple remained low-key throughout the pregnancy, and the birth announcement was no different. The New York Post broke the news with very little in the way of details, but today (though some fairly shady means) the newspaper has obtained more information, including the child’s gender and name: It’s a girl! And what may be even more exciting is the fact that it’s a girl with a refreshingly non-quirky name. Violet Reynolds’ identity was revealed via a tweet-and-delete from a nurse who claims to work in the hospital where little V was delivered. So we could be getting taken for a ride here, but it certainly sounds plausible. In fact, Elle magazine has speculated that Blake wore violet in the above photo as a way of hinting at her choice of moniker. Sounds ridiculous, but if you’ve visited the former Gossip Girl cast member’s lifestyle website, then you know this girl is all bout obsessive attention to detail. Britt Nilsson is someone to keep your eye on this season on The Bachelor, having walked away with Chris Soules’ “first impression” rose last night. The farmer from Arlington, Iowa, was undoubtedly smitten with her on Monday’s premiere, though, and not just because she’s gorgeous. And a hugger. Okay, those were the main reasons. Early this morning (like “still up from last night early), Charlie Sheen attacked Kim Kardashian on Twitter. Later, in the sober light of day, Sheen stuck to his guns, calling Kardashian a “pox” on the entertainment industry during an interview with TMZ. Apparently, Chuckles finally sobered up around noon, LA time, because he seems to have realized that Kim didn’t actually do anything to him and he was freaking out over secondhand information and an incident that may have never happened. Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks: Two similarly-named rappers from opposite sides of the planet who just can’t seem to get along. Earlier this month, Banks went off on Iggy in a furious Twitter tirade that attacked from her music to her perceived racial insensitivity. Yesterday, Banks ramped up her criticism of the “Fancy” rapper in an emotionally-charged interview with Hot 97. We’ve known for that a while, because these two suck at hiding things, but they’ve denied their relationship so many times, that they might have actually convinced some people. Unfortunately for KJ and T-Raw, the jig is pretty much up thanks to Kylie’s latest selfie: Okay, it’s possible Kylie is all over some other dude who rocks a gold chain and has the word “pasionaye” tattooed on his neck, but we’re gonna go out on a limb and say she’s lying in bed with Tyga. Azealia Banks is basically making a career out of starting tweet beefs. The Z-list emcee who’s more famous for her online feuds than for her music has a long history of taking shots at the popular kids online, and last night she set her sights on another feud-happy rapper: “Who has Eminem really had rap beef with aside from female artists?” Banks tweeted earlier today. “You beefed with Moby, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera…And then this n-gga calls himself the diss god? LOL” We’d say Moby actually took the brunt of this one, as Banks apparently thinks he’s a woman, but she followed that tweet up with a low blow that Em will likely deem worthy of a blistering response: “You beefed with Your mom my dude…” It’s true that Em has said some unkind things about his mother over the years, but expressing your thoughts on your own difficult upbringing and starting a beef aren’t exactly the same thing. Eminem apologized to his mom in a track that he released earlier this year, and he seems intent on patching up the relationship, which is all the more reason that we think he won’t let Banks’ obvious attempt at provocation slide. If Em responds, this will be Azealia’s third feud of the year (at least) and we’re hoping this one will play out on wax instead of on Twitter. As you’re probably aware, Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by a number of women in recent weeks. Most of the alleged incidents took place several decades ago, meaning they’re beyond the statute of limitations for prosecution. Even so, TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department is planning to investigate Judy Huth’s claim that Cosby assaulted her when she was just 15 years old. A spokesman for the department has reportedly stated that the department “has an obligation to investigate all crimes when a victim comes forward.” Sources say authorities are hoping that if they look into Huth’s claims and find them to be valid, the investigation might prompt other victims to come forward. However, there remains a good chance that even if police determine Cosby is guilty of the various sex crimes he’s been accused of, the TV icon might never see the inside of a courtroom. Attorney Gloria Allred has attempted to circumvent the statute of limitations issue by challenging Cosby to put up $100 million to prove his innocence. Allred has publicly asked Cosby to place the money in a trust for his victims, and allow a panel of retired judges to determine if he’s guilty or not. Cosby has yet to respond to the challenge.
