On a new episode of Van Lathan ‘s ‘The Red Pill’ podcast , Muva revealed that she use to sell crack back when she was young girl in Philly. “I usually don’t tell people this because I never want to tell a sob story. I tried selling drugs. I tried selling crack in my neighborhood. [The drug dealers] said I was gonna get robbed, I was a girl and I was too pretty. So what i did, I would bag it up for them. And they would throw me some money.” Being a drug dealer didn’t work out for Amber, but she still did what she had to do to provide for herself, her mom and her brother at the time. The former “Love & Hip Hop” star posted a picture of herself trying on wedding dresses this week with Beverly Hills designers Ryan Patros & Walter Mendez. On her story, she also tried on several other gowns and teased that she was having one made. The pictures apparently left Safaree “speechless”—but not speechless enough to repost the picture and write a “ STRAAAAAIT smitten” caption about his bride-to-be. “I would say I Can’t believe it but I prayed for this and God always answers my prayers,” wrote Safaree. “Can’t wait to see what dress you pick but i know i have to wait. I know our wedding is going to be big and extra as hell but if it was just me you & our families I’d be good with that.” Somebody is straaaaaait smitten! As previously reported the couple’s reportedly received huge 6-figure offers to live stream their impending nuptials but haven’t signed a deal—yet. Ariana, who was engaged to Pete before everything took a sudden turn for the worst , was doing a Q&A on Twitter when a fan asked about Pete’s length. Hilariously enough, the fan was talking about the song Ariana dedicated to Pete on her album Sweetene r —still she responded in a since-deleted tweeted, “Like 10 inches?…. oh fu**…. i mean… like a lil over a minute.” After they broke things off, Ariana also seemed to reference Pete’s alleged mandingo meat in the burn book she wrote in for her Mean Girls -inspired “thank u, next” video. Source: Joe Raedle/Getty Images / Getty Hartsifield-Jackson Wait Times Reach Over An Hour The world’s busiest airport is known for having a long wait for security, but the partial Government shutdown is apparently taking things to a new level. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that TSA security lines have snaked all the way to the baggage claim at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport as six checkpoints are currently shut down. Wait times reached as long as an hour and a half as the shutdown continues and as TSA officers continue working without pay. To be clear these people haven’t been paid since December 22 and several of them have called in “sick.” Travelers are usually advised to arrive at the airport around two hours before their flight, and while several of them did so, they still missed flights because of long lines. CNN reporter Omar Jiminez posted a video from inside the airport showing just how longs security lines really are. So I’m at @ATLairport and this may be the longest security line I have ever seen. Source: NBC / Getty Megyn Kelly Finally Exits NBC With $30 Million Settlement Megyn Kelly is officially no longer an employee of NBC, but she didn’t make her exit without securing a hefty settlement first. NBC announced on Friday that they had finalized the terms of Kelly’s exit, only two short years after she signed a $69 million deal with the network: “The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee,” NBC announced in a statement to the New York Times . The publication reports that the former host will walk away with a $30 million payout, which is the remainder of her original $69 million contract. Back in January of 2017, the former Fox News anchor signed on to host the Megyn Kelly Today show , which was canceled back in October following her controversial comments about blackface. “But what is racist? You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween,” Kelly said as she spoke to an all-white panel on her then-morning talk show. “Back when I was a kid, that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as like a character.” Unsurprisingly, Kelly’s ignorance about blackface immediately sparked outrage, prompting her to issue an apology in which she used said ignorance as an excuse. “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry,” she wrote in an email to her NBC colleagues at the time. “The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. I’ve never been a “pc” kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age. Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year.” Kelly recently told TMZ she would “definitely” be back on TV, but the ratings for The Today Show have only increased since she left–companies might wanna take note.
Source: Getty / Getty Texas Couple Found Guilty Of Keeping African Girl As Slave A Northern Texas couple that purchased a Guinean girl at age five and used her as a slave for sixteen years has been found guilty of forcing hard labor on a foreign citizen. Mohamed Toure and Denise Cros-Toure are potentially facing decades in prison after being found guilty of forced labor, conspiracy to harbor an alien for financial gain and the actual act of harboring an alien for financial gain. According to CBS Dallas , the couple forced the young girl to do all the general house labor, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, yard work, and caring for their five children. She was never given access to school or any extracurricular activities like the couple’s children were, even though she was close to their same age. The couple kept all her paperwork and identification, forced her to remain in the US for years after her visa expired (forcing her to be an illegal alien and thus unable to leave their “protection”) and isolated her from her family. They also emotionally and physically abused her. The girl was finally able to escape the home with help from former neighbors. The couple won’t face sentencing for at least another week…but we’re pretty sure they’ll get some heavy time for this one…

That said, its still no less disturbing to hear the people who govern this country spout off racist rhetoric without even the faints veil over it. For example, take these remarks by Republican KKKongressman (Iowa) Steve King to the NYTimes : “White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” he was quoted as telling the Times in a story published on Thursday. “Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?” King went on to say: Reflecting on the record number of black people and women in the new Congress, he added: “You could look over there and think the Democratic Party is no country for white men.” We’ve covered KKKongressman King in the past and he’s no lover of Black and brown people let us be the first to tell you. We can’t wait for old people like Steve King to die and rid us of their toxic brand of government.
Famous contortionist Belen Pouchan is known for her extreme body bending moves — but her latest trick ended up with her head leaking out blood. The 26-year old Argentinian dancer tried to show off her skills on a giant outdoors chair in Barcelona. She twisted herself into knots and did tricks going in and out the hole of the chair, but as she tried to untwist herself, ish got bloody. Pouchan smacked her face on wooden chair and played it off pretty cool is you ask us. She did however get five stitches on her face and spent seven hours at the hospital.
