Kudos to the actress for landing a lead role in the upcoming rom-com Isn’t It Romantic , but the part where she claimed she was the “first-ever plus-sized girl to be the star of a romantic comedy”—we weren’t here for that . After Twitter corrected her and pointed out that there were many actresses who’d achieved as much before her, Wilson tweeted out an apology. “In a couple of well-intentioned moments, hoping to lift my fellow plus sized women up, I neglected to show the proper respect to those who climbed this mountain before me like Mo’Nique, Queen Latifah, Melissa McCarthy, Ricki Lake and likely many others.” Apparently, she now realizes she was hurtful…you know, AFTER blocking folks on Twitter who respectfully came for that azz . “With the help of some very compassionate and well-thought out responses from others on social media, I now realize what I said was not only wrong but also incredibly hurtful. To be part of a problem I was hoping I was helping makes it that much more embarrassing & hard to- “acknowledge. I blocked people on Twitter because I was hurting from the criticism, but those are the people I actually need to hear from more, not less. The rapper and the model/dance enthusiast held a shower for their soon-to-be-bouncing baby, and revealed the gender of their upcoming collaboration. It’s a… Well, congrats to these two on the baby boy! We can’t help but notice that Future and Joie looked much cozier than co-parents in these pics though. We know he’s supposedly in a relationship with his other-other baby mama Brittni Mealy — even putting a ring (or two) on it on her Birthday back in August! However, after they were each so gung-ho about each other on social media over the summer, they’ve been suspiciously quiet with their displays of affection as of late. Now with the extra hugginess between Future and his ex-bae at the baby shower/gender reveal…we’re not entirely sure what’s what. In the eyes of many of her Instagram followers, Jessa Duggar can do no right. Jessa gets mom-shamed pretty much every time she posts anything about her family, but to her credit, it seems she’s not letting it get her down. Despite the heckling hordes, Jessa continues to post as often as ever, even when she seems fully aware that her content is likely to outrage the haters. Jessa celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday, and it seems she went all out … by Duggar standards, of course. Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, attended a small, sober gathering of family and friends, and afterward, she posted some pics of her sons on the ride home. That may not seem like a very big deal, but we can’t overstate the extent to which trolls scrutinize every pic of Jessa’s kids in search of reasons to get angry. The above photo shows Jessa’s 3-year-old son Spurgeon amusing himself with some power windows. “He loves to operate the windows,” Jessa wrote. This pic shows 1-year-old Henry looking like he knocked back a few too many juice boxes. “Partied out,” Jessa captioned the pic. Again, this may not seem like a big deal, but given the uproar surrounding past claims of Jessa endangering her kids’ lives , we think it’s safe to say she knew what she was doing by posting pics of them in the car, safely buckled in. Jessa also posted this pic, captioned, “Checking the sports stats.” This one may be a subtle way of addressing two separate controversies: For one thing, fans have been critical of Jessa’s homeschooling practices. Basically, they don’t think she does any homeschooling at all. On top of that, much has been said about the younger generation of Duggars allowing their children to enjoy secular forms of entertainment, a big no-no in Jim Bob and Michelle’s book. So unless these two are reading Bible verses on that tablet, Jessa just basically confirmed that she’s joined the rebellion against Jim Bob.
